- Juhyeok once mentioned that he's goal for 2014 was to quit smoking. Last time we learned that most of the members are heavy smokers and they're in really bad shape. So the production team put together this special project to get them to quit smoking for 2 days and hopefully they'll quit for good. But since Taehyun isn't a smoker, he's invited his friend, Hong Kyungmin to be his avatar. Will the members last the entire shoot without lighting up? Who will end up being punished severely for breaking the rules?

True especially considering the fact that SK has a very heavy smoking and drinking culture and it's very easy to get influenced by others. I think when there are other people in your life you're responsible for, it makes you more resolute.

I always cheered for the guy and was always happy whenever he wins something on this show. I was really sad when he left but was happy because he found a special someone. Rip Joohyuk.

After I heard news about 2D1N season 4 started, I wonder who's gonna be laughing machine in the new season. This show needs someone like him.
I just realize after watching season 4 episodes that the real backbone of this show is Taehyun's laugh.
Season 3 will always have a special place in my heart, they are forever my fave, but season 4 is really promising and funny now that they've become more comfortable with each other. Love 2d1n! ❤️

@@crymealiver5078 seriously season 4 is kind of not natural like season 3... jongmin junho cha tae hyun should have been there, deffcon too. There's so Much chemistry and dull moment, season 4 they try hard and corner jong min but it only names it more sad, because there's nobody like junho. cha taehyun laugh was everything the show needed. Somehow show is hanging around, season 2 pd season 3 pd were really great in spontaneity but season 4 pd makes it looks like they are trying hard but in the end its not funny like season 3. Season 3 every frame is funny season 4 there will be very few funny scenes in the entire episode. Here making comments with each other was so naural like they were real close, there it looks like they do it look funny but it comes off as really offensive

I admire that Tahyun doesn't smoke which is good because it would be bad for his kids and bad for the lungs. I know it's addicting but smoking can do lots of damage to the lung. I feel really bad for them, especially joonyoung because he is a singer so it could ruin his voice.

6 years later and I come back to watch one of my favorite episodes. Season 3 will always be the best, and I miss this cast greatly (despite the bad one who I don't even want to name). I love the PD for being stern and not giving in
The funniest person in this entire episode is none other than Kim Juhyeok hyung. I miss him dearly. He was one of the nicest person I have seen in any reality show. We miss you dearly Juhyeok Hyung. ❤️😭

this is a great idea. tbh what sets 2d1n apart from other variety programmes is that there is a humanist element to this show - i'm glad the PDs and script writers have the members' health in mind and always try to focus on bigger issues than purely good ratings, while still supplying us w good laughs
This episode reminds me of the Human Condition, where they ask the members to live for a few days without a specific thing. Very interesting episodes, ranging from living without money, living without electricity, living without generating trash to more extreme ones like living with only 20 items.
i really admire cha tae-hyun for being such a good father i think a lot of their shoots he always remember his kids.... horray for tae-hyun for being the best dad for his kids, a happy guy and a wonderful person..... so thats it good health to everyone

What the hell,I watched the show because of the other members brotherhood ,Jongmin and Junho's chemistry,Tayhun's laughter and Deffcons hard work and dumbness ,I swear Junghon was invisible to me from beginning to end ,It's humour that counts dear .I started giving a slight attention to Junghoon just because of scandal.I think many good girls can relate to me.

I honestly thought this was one of the funnier episodes of season 3. The humor was dark and deprecating, the theme was honest and brutal, and it was just so real. It really drove the message across without failing to entertain people about the hardships of addiction. It may be disgusting to many how dependent the members were on cigarettes, but I don't think that should ruin how they view the cast. Who knows how many of your favorite idols, actors, and entertainers smoke and do who knows what else behind the cameras. Great episode with a great message!
I miss season 3 cast so much. New season is quite good too but the warmth and vibe of season 3 is completely different. I wonder how its no more possible to see all of them together for various different reasons. But Season 3 was best of all. My heart aches to see few of them but I still pop to watch these remaining episodes.

I just know JJY recently , and the best thing that I like about him is he's being honest he doesn't put an image to protect , he speaks his mind freely and srsly knowing him smoke isn't that too much disappointment. Everyone can smoke its just depend on how you put it ..

I am rewatching the old episodes and this is one of my favourites.! When Joohyuk said that the cigarette after the meal is so important i was like "thumbs up" haha we all know that ;) I miss him

This is Anna I know....Junho or Jongmin i think said once that Joohyuk is like the core of this show...Lately when he appeared i was like hoping he was going to rejoin them .. No one can hate on this guy ;)
I think it's defcon who said that, but yes...he's just impossible to hate. He's a quiet person but his calmness is just so charming. After he left the show, you can see how much his dongsaeng and the staff miss him. Yoo PD even said in an interview, that by the time they shot joohyuk's last episodes he can't help but feel regret and anxious, he's basically afraid if the new guy wouldn't be as much as entertaining and good at variety as joohyuk. Hope he'll be back to this show somehow :")
This is Anna Oh you are right my mistake :) I am may be mean and it's too early but the new guy...(Donggu) is far from Joohyuk:/ But as i daid it's probably too early and he is trying to adjust. The only thing they have in common is losing at games haha

At least bring back the Kim Joo-hyuk memorial episode. It was touching and he deserves to be remembered and his work should be honored.
A quite interesting episode because it's not about how to quit smoking (2 days it's difficult but not enough) but about of what smoking can do to you psychologically. The crew are already quite sneaky (as seen the last trip with the bowl robbed), however this time it's a little repulsive and ridiculous how they are attempting all the time to escape to smoke somewhere hidden. It isn't their personality, it's the effect of the nicotine.
It's a variety so all it's played for laughs even as a serious issue and can offend someone. In the other hand, I see it in another way: they're showing that smoking isn't the end of the world and quitting smoking it's something that even them can attempt. The PD didn't prohibit smoking but put a great penalty so it's their decision to stop smoking. It's a tortuous road in which they will fail many times but with will they can success. Another interesting it's how group pressure it's more powerful than nicotine. Well, in this case, because they're always ready to betray someone just for him to be punished.
The next episode may be brutal because it's when they're going to have the most withdrawal.
By the way, good plan to trick that member (not saying who, you will see if you watch it) to go into the water, he deserves it for lying and hiding cigarettes so many times. Also, Am i the only one who really likes when this show goes out of format and do things like this?
I also thought it was very smart on them to utilize the dog. We all knew some of them were hiding some.

I was SO surprised when I found out that all the members (except Taehyun) smoke when the episode of the medical-checkup aired. To tell you the truth, I was a little bit disappointed. I know that they did try to stop and that it's not easy to stop once you've started.
But I really, really, really wish they would consider to stop smoking seriously. Taehyun keeps laughing it off but I bet he isn't comfortable around the members when they smoke ( he look like he tries his best to stay away from them when they smoke lol ). I'm not comfortable around smokers too...
I like the concept of this episode. Looking forward to next week's.

For non-smokers like me i guess this episode is the best... my father had never smoked in his life until he died so i can easily smell cigarette... and i hate the smell... it's really annoying.....
I agree I absolutely hate the smell of smoke, and I would always have to hold my breath in when passing someone that was smoking.

Part of the influence was shows like this which helped me learn the culture. I also went to 단양 to the paragliding location, and enjoyed seeing photos of the members there! The members of 2 days 1 night today are funny. But we cant deny that this season is the best. I miss them so much. How i wish they will still do show up until today.
I love watching 2d1n but I can't get myself to enjoy this season with JJY anymore due to the fact that the thought that I'm watching and laughing to someone who molested someone really throws me off. It's so sad that a bad thing could tarnish these precious work and memories of the cast and staff.
The way they planned how to secretly smoke in the bush was really funny. Joonyoung oppa really reminds me when i was in highschool . Smoking secretly with my friends whilst looking out for each other haha

I know this was a non smoking special but I smoked half a pack watching this because I was stressed out for them lol. poor juhyeok, I'm cackling watching him slowly go crazy

its really hard to quit for first few days, i even went through in some of my ashtrays to look for cigarettes butts when i was in stage of quitting,cant sleep trying to eat junk food snacking late night just to control myself.....finally its been 2yrs hoping not to go back smoking ....just too expensive & bad for health....fighting boys...love this show ...now i sleep so late coz of u guys...
Taehyun is just enjoying watching everyone's misery XD. They always complain about not being able eat but when they get multiple meals no strings attached they don't look as happy because of the urge to smoke afterwards lol. I think Juhyeok will be the winner

How I wish we could go back in time. I miss those "3G vs. LTE" moments. I feel so sad seeing the members leaving 2D1N with a heavy heart. I hope they won't remove these videos. Watching this show made me feel like I am a little closer to Korea.
I am back because I miss everyone in S3 yet I have to say that S4 also is par with them! Funny yet so entertaining!

After all these years, I haven't quit smoking. This episode makes me smoke more just like 4 years back. I am glad Jongmin quit smoking already, he doesn't smoke now. He said he quit smoking in the drinking mukbang episode of "KIMDUMB".
