RIP Guillaume, miss him, brilliant voice. Brilliant album too, hope Mnemic comes back one day with Michael..
And make a tribute for him🥺😞😞 him and Michael are the best vocal in the world for me
Have you heard? They announced their reunion, yesterday!
This band was decaded ahead of their time... 10 Year later it would have been a major metalcore/djent act... RIP Guillaume Bideau
Extremely underrated sadly unknown band. Been a fan since 2003.
Me too! its been a 16yr ongoing obsession with this brutally dynamically sounding band. to most of the general population this genre is pretty much music kryptonite.
I miss Guillaume and Mnemic so much. This is the direction I wish “modern metal” would have gone instead of where it has. This is what “modern metal” sounds like when the focus is on good songs and having a distinct sound as a band rather than bands trying to out-djent or out-metalcore each other while all sounding exactly the same.
I'm writing a horror story involving an entity I've named a "Mnemic." I was planning on titling the story "Mnemesis." The story is about a man who receives memories from his future self. At first, he believes these messages are to aid him in avoiding a dark fate. But as the story progresses, things go wrong, and the man begins to distrust his memories. He suspects his future self is sabotaging him for some dark purpose. I don't have the ending yet. But I searched the internet to see if there was anything related out there, just to make sure I wasn't unintentionally stealing anything.
It was then that I found this band, and this album.
Now, I'm a big fan of metal, but I've never heard of Mnemic or Mnemesis before. This I know to be true, because I would have loved this music if I had. And yet, how did I write a story using both of these words? I'm not sure I want to know the answer---this is precisely the nature of the messages the protagonist receives in the story.
The thoughts ricochet in my head. Am I truly inventing this story? Or am I transcribing events remembered from a future self? And if so, what is that future's purpose---can I trust his intentions?
The ending of the story is dark. I know that much. But It's just a story. "Mnemic" and "Mnemesis" are portmanteaus. They are plays on words. It isn't unreasonable to thing somewhere the same ideas were formed independently.
Great minds think alike, right?
Right?
Your story sounds amazing! how does it continue? i'm intrigued
For me, this is a mix between Fear Factory, Deftones and Meshuggah... Fucking awesome!
excellent album!
RIP Guillaume Bideau
I love this Band
More comments! Awesome Band! Thanks for djent before other comes
I see live show in Budapest 2 times !!
This band is so kick ass and heavy with its sound. This band should be given the opportunity to be as big as bands like Machine Head, Slipknot or Korn since it has similar sounds to those bands.
this band was too good to be appreciated.
MNEMIC 🔥MNEMIC 🔥MNEMIC 🔥
Fucking love this
these dudes should def or should've been a well known band with much more exposure.
R.I.P. Guillaume....
the whole damn album is Perfect , undervalued band even with nuclear blast, long live mnemic although it is very likely that they will not release anything again and if they do release it will be without Guillaume bideau and I think it would not be the same anymore, greetings from Mexico
This is not HQ...
They were some Bad mother .... Sad they broke up. Was way too talented for their own good.
It's kinds sad they mention crystal meth in one of their songs, i was gonna recommend this to my Bible study group.
