I'm kinda out of the loop. What exactly happened? Did the engine vibrate so hard that it caused the hood to unlatch?
This is why you put hood pins in. If you don't this happens.
@@jyw0000 I think the latch was broken, because by the looks of it, the windshield was already cracked at the beginning of the clip. I'm guessing it wasn't the first time that happened lmao

Yes, pretty much useless without AWD (traction as such). I've seen some AWD ones, and those can really accelerate. This spinning wheels at the redline in each gear is pointless. :)

I loved these old Honda's, they were so easy to pimp out yourselves A few quick tweaks for more power. Very Nostalgic
What quick tweaks equaled more power on a n/a 1.6 or 1.8l engine lol?

@@extremeuniquecars4802 yeah but that's any car haha. These Honda's need a lot of tweaking to get good power. I have a fully built dc2 personally, and going from 170whp to anything meaningful was a lot of tweaking :)

They are Japanese made cars, and we all know how Japanese cars are very reliable.
It's because of wheelspin, they wait a second for the actual speed of the car to rise. If they shifted sooner the rpms would drop too much as the car catches traction in the next gear

@tylerbuck9347 can't speak to the younger Hondas because I don't buy new cars, in many cases the older generation vehicles are built better than the new ones, I have a 04 wrx sti and a honda 2011 crv both work excellent

You just proved my biggest concern with high hp fwd cars... Zero traction! And I currently drive a FWD car! I have a AWD system to swap into it though
These cars have good traction not modded but if you mod it expect to lose traction
@@zuzuke.. my FWD runs about 20psi of boost and manual transmission. You just need some good tires and know how to work the throttle.
Just get some nice fat meaty tires for the front and put roll cage in it and the correct rims and ur good
@@ChronicBlaze100 in theory that does work. Unfortunately you only have so much room before you have to start cutting up your fenders and the body by the door bottoms. Even if you have a 15 inch rim you can only get so wide due to the strut/spring placement.
I like to drive my vehicles! Not just in a straight line but drive them for day to day things like going to the store, work or just taking the kids to the park. I just like to be able quit get real quick!

Proper LSD with longer gears, Traction Control, Proper suspension setup, and wide sticky tires did the trick for me.. I put down all 550whp and almost 400tq.. Not so much much in first, but I can grab up in second nicely and its out from there.
Sure a v8 can make more power more reliably, but with how cheap it is to squeeze power out of these four cylinders coupled with the light curb weight hondas can be pretty fly ngl

people give civics shit because to actually get them to go fast when they have any kind of power you NEED to be bouncing them off the limiter because hoooo boy they have NO grip no matter how big you go on that front rubber. This makes it sound like the driver has no idea what they're doing.

350-400whp seems to be the magic number too shoot for for street driving, I mean yea you got 700hp but if you can’t use it then it’s just a number. 400 might beat 600-700 if they can hook all the way.
