Thanks for giving me the info to get this reel together after grandkid got about ten miles of line caught under the cap.
Glad I could help. Now to take the grandkids fishing some more.
Matthew, Another great video. Please keep them coming. I am using three of the Zebco 33 Platinums that I serviced after watching your previous videos. They operate very smooth. Thanks for your instruction.
Awesome. Love those reels.
amazing video. i appreciate your detail, video, and instructions! can’t wait to cast smoother and hopefully farther! thank you!
Have fun with it. Zebco reels are great.
I added the 3 bearings to my 33, it was easy to do thanks to you, it dose work smoother.
Very nice
Thanks for the tips. Ball bearings are much better.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching
I love to see you up grading the reels and fixing them.
Thanks for watching! It is fun to take a basic reel and upgrade it.
i just got my wife's new pink 33n combo in the mail, and i just order the bearings for it off ebay. Thank you for the info
Cool, man!
this is the best Mod. you can do for the Z33 you won't be dissapointed
Thanks for sharing
Good Morning Matthew,
Ed Here same thing as the old 33,s
Yes it is. Just the newest model
Very informative video ❤
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad my videos are still helping people out!
When are you going to do the race. You got one in that junk box. I'm wondering how many bearings you can up grade it to. Keep them coming.
Coming soon.
I have had the screws strip out when I caught a big bass on those in the plastic frame. I had to put lock tight on them. This was the 2012 Zebco that looked like the 733 . I think it was just called the classic.
Wow, that screws up your whole fishing trip. Try a Zebco Omega. Or a 33 Platinum.
@@OutFishing13Matthew LOL......
Would it make sense to replace the original existing bearing with a shielded one?
Bearings are inexpensive and shielded should be better.
Is the existing bearing the same size as the new ones?
The one bearing on this reel is half shielded. I believe the idea is the unshielded half allows for easy service and lubrication and is facing inwards. So, I don't know if it really would make it any better or not. Great question, by the way.
Awesome video, as always. Whenever you get a chance, Could you do the micro 33N. Please, Thank you. 👌🏽
Coming soon! Just ordered a new 33N Micro.
Could you do a service on the profishiency sniper spincast. I have one and I can’t figure how to take it apart
Sure. I'd have to buy one.
Thank you for all the videos that you have done. I have a problem with buying these old spincast reels from antique stores and I fix em up. Trying to make a collection.
Thank you for the video!. Where can I get the bearings for my 33n? However I've had the reel for more than 10 years. Do the bearings change from year to year?
You can get the bearings for the 33n on ebay or amazon. Zebco has been using the same bearings on the China made 33s for the last 20 years. The bearing size is a 1/4x1/2/3/16 inch SR188-ZZ. You can call Zebco and see if they have them. EY030-01 is the Zebco Part Number.
i followed your video and added some bearings to my 33 rhino and it doesnt seem to perform any smoother. do you have any suggestions?
Take it out and use it. Break it in.
@OutFishing13 I was playing around with it some more and for the most part its smooth as butter until I thread the rotor with the pick up pins on top of the spool. That's when it gets kind of junky feeling. It's got a slight wobble but I figured it was normal.
Is it ok if I link one of your videos on my channel some time?
Yes, go for it. Thanks for asking. Which video did you have in mind? Is this your Codyakfishing youtube channel?
Yessir it is, I got sold on using zebco due to your videos, and like to give others your channel to show how easy it is to maintain them
Do a Zebco Roam Video
you got it! Thanks for the request!
Can you do this with any of the older made in USA 33s?
No, just Zebcos made after about 2006.
@@OutFishing13Matthew Ah ok thank you! Love the Zebco vids! Got a couple of old Zebcos and a Johnson now.
@@Shankdaddy16 One of the very best older Made in USA Zebco is the Omega 33 or Zebco Omega181. They have ball bearings. Find them on eBay
@@OutFishing13Matthew I’ll keep a lookout!
Thanks for the videos! Do you happen to know if these newer spools fit the last model 33?
Hi. That is a great question. They will not. I looked up the part numbers. The 33N (2021) part number is a EAJ321-01 and the prior spool for the 33K is XN310-01. They are both available and in stock at TackleService.com.
Thanks! Just looking to find those plastic t-rings for a few spools I have.
@@frankdealmeida7339 The ring that goes around the rim of the spool? They don't sell those separately, but the spool only costs about $1.50 plus shipping.
Yeah I’ve purchased the spools for the previous 33 platinum, but they arrived without the plastic ring. I may just need to purchase the newer model spools and swap over the plastic rings if they fit.
@@frankdealmeida7339 that is odd. You may want to contact Zebco about the problem. Their customer service is great.

Coming soon. Next on my list.
Roger, just finished the RSC3 video last night. It will air this Friday morning.
