Hey Katrina! I really loved the fact when I saw your Linkedin profile you did the Global SCLM program! I just got admitted and waiting for the exchanges! :D Greetings from Copenhagen Business School :)
My mom and I stumbled across this video while looking for stuff about UBC Sauder (I applied and am still waiting to hear back as of now 🤞🏻). What you had to say was super helpful and I will definitely be back to watch your other Sauder videos! ✨
Totally agree that you shouldn't do "GPA boosters", you'll probably do better on electives you find interesting and you'll probably enjoy it more haha, great video! 👍
Personally, I am not too familiar with the program, but I believe there is an application process (must submit a cover letter and resume) and then I think they have one or two rounds of interviews. I'd be happy to invite a guest onto the channel to talk about their co-op experience!
Hi im also Sauder and struggling choosing the 298(early finance) course bc the seats are limited. My average is a A- and im wondering how does Sauder mark their As and how many students or percentage would be in front of my grade, Thanks.
It is pretty straight forward. You will need to create an account. You can start through this link: www.sauder.ubc.ca/programs/masters-degrees/ubc-mba/how-to-apply?gclid=Cj0KCQjwlMaGBhD3ARIsAPvWd6i0yNJ1fLi1q7p63i8Sf_P9pDXWgmR3I2YI_-CVcEfVlFqXAsMuLZQaAnKKEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds From there, you should be given guidance within your account or via email! :)
This question is pretty difficult to answer because within the business faculty, there are different specializations (eg. marketing, accounting, finance, hr) and depending on which concentration you focus on, there are a different number of opportunities. For example, I personally think there are more accounting internship opportunities than investment banking (finance-related) internships. From my knowledge, investment banking jobs would pay more, but it is also much more competitive. For salary expectations overall, I highly recommend checking out Glassdoor to compare industry standards! But all in all, I think business is a safe major to go into because every job out there in the real world is related to business, one way or another. Your knowledge and business expertise will be valuable wherever you end up going :)
Hello.. I am really tensed about one thing. What if I don't get accepted :( Application in ubc starts in October and the deadline in universities in my city is in June. I will get my 12th standard results in May, so I will have to skip applying in my city, wait till October and apply in ubc but what if I don't get accepted? Can you please suggest something for that..?
This is a really dumb question, I'm going to Sauder this fall and I'm wondering on avg what is the salary for Sauder grads post grad? Excluding any PMF people.
It really depends on which avenue you pick! Like it could range from 42k to 90k. You would likely make more working in the industry over public practice (btw they don’t teach you this in sauder, you just kinda learn from yourself and those around you).
Hi ! Is there any chance that I can go to sauder with the b com degree and specialize in economics? Since economics wasn’t an option in the saucer program.. just asking also , is there enough time to do a part time off campus?
Hi Michelle! You could most certainly do a major in business and minor in economics. That is very possible. Economics falls under the Arts faculty, however I know people that have done both. I think it is possible to do part-time work off campus. It just comes down to how your schedule compacts together in the day and whether you have the energy to manage studying, commuting, and working!
@@KatrinaJung and also if u do not mind is there any possibility that i could reach someone who did that specific degree( b com - specilize in economics? so i could ask a couple of more qns?) if thats ok?thank you so much in advance .
When I joined the school in 2017, the minimum average was 84%, however the actual entering grade average was mid 90’s. But an 84+ can still get you into the school if you have a strong personal profile (this would include your written statements, extracurricular involvements, and online interview)!
@@jasminez4343 I’m not sure about the statistics for this, unfortunately, but from my own experience there’s lot’s of diversity (international students and Canadian students from out of province)!
Hi Katrina! Thank you so much for these informations!! I got admitted to the Faculty of Applied Science this year in UBC, however, I want to study in the business program, so I'm wondering if it is hard for people from applied science to transfer into Sauder for the second year? And did many people transfer like this successfully? Thank you so much!
Hi, thank you for reaching out! I'm not 100% sure about the difficulty level of transferring to the business program, however, I will be inviting a friend to join me on my channel to talk about his transition from the engineering faculty to the business faculty. Stay tuned :)

Hi Katrina, how is the co-op at Sauder and do you know what the process is like to join that program?

Awesome video! I was wondering what the Sauder acceptance rate is annually, I’ve seen 6% and 40%, ranging all over the place. Do you have an estimate?
