You are really intelligent. my parents never had friends, neither do I, my dad says it’s too expensive to dine out with friends, he used to work in restaurants and everything they cook is dirty 😂. i feel so lonely, they taught me to be silent since I was a kid so I don’t bother them😢 they even locked me home when I was in preschool, and cut the phone wire so I can’t ask for help from my aunt, they don’t want to be criticized by my aunt. I can’t say they are bad influence. I wanted to save some money so I can have my own CPA practice someday, it’s been my dream for many years, so I have been living in cheap community for ten years, my parents moved in too, full time job and full time student for 5 years. Whenever I have a day off my mom would question why I’m lazy. My mom was mad at me not contributing money and get a loan to buy a house for the family. She said the reason I’m still single is we live in slums😂 I am interviewing a new job that located far away from where we live now, she was angry that I’m moving away , she said living by myself is too expensive and will waste a lot of money… and I won’t be able to help them with any English related problem immediately. I should have left them earlier.

Pretty on point with what you said. I worked at GT in NYC, not big 4 but pretty big. It really depends on your team and clients. I worked with a team, pretty much busy season they go until 12-2am for a few weeks to close out the extension period. Otherwise, their work hours was pretty chill non busy season. What you said about vacation is so true. GT gave unlimited PTO but that was BS. To get approve time off was so many layers like you said. Had to get approval from each engagement manager to sign off before resource approves. I remember my breaking point was this lady I worked with, she basically said she scheduled having kids around busy season. She would try to have her kid around busy season so she can have maternity leave.

I don't have a school report and l only have grade 12 results only Can I get admission into the college as an undergraduate student.

i worked in 2 diff big 4 companies and from then i AVOID thinking about accounting and auditing as my career, everybody was unhinged and the ptsd it gave me was not it, but ngl it added some value to my CV lol

Accounting/finance is a bad field in general. Just do engineering instead. This field has way too many qualifiers you need to make a living. College degree, CPA, big 4 experience, networking, etc. it's literally a bunch of dumb jocks thinking they're intelligent when it's basic math and econ. Get a bachelor's degree in engineering and never look back.

Great tips & videos Katrina! :) I'm currently in college here in Toronto & I just recently switched my major from marketing to accounting because of how much I enjoyed my Introductory Financial Accounting class lol. I was originally in Marketing & my other option was to be in HR because I thought those two would be the best based on my personality & whatnot but then I realized, I love talking to people but I also low key hate dealing with low quality people HAHA so I decided to switch to accounting lmfao. There were more reasons too ofc but yeah, just wanted to say your videos here are really helpful for me since I'm going down the same path you took a few years back so thank you so much for all the great content! :) Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store :)
