    I connected my HHO generator output to fuel line that went to fuel tank. Then I took a peice of cardboard and covered air intake by 50%. This allowed for the correct fuel to air ratio. The engine governor will maintain proper RPM’s for your Frequency 60hz
    =3600 Rpm in US.
    My generator runs for many hours on a gallon of water mixture. My HHO Generator draws about 12 amps.
    I have a 960 amp battery hooked to a 30 amp battery charger that is plugged into generator that maintains battery charge level. The battery charger only draws 210 watts from the 4kw generator. I used dual water filter assembly to build HHO generator, one is HHO generator and the other filter case is water bubbler. Both are mounted on top of 4kw generator where the fuel tank used to be. Battery and charger are also mounted in same box on top. I use it to run my camper when I go boon-docking. I have run generator for 4 days straight. I added a extra tank for water and electrolyte as needed so I don’t have to get up in middle of night. I’m in the process of building a bigger HHO generator for a 10kw generator for my house.

      So 12Vx12A=144watts. You say the battery charger pulls 210watts from generator. So that is an efficiency of 145% after everything. But the generator should be around 50% efficiency max. So that means you will be generating around 420watts worth of HHO using 144watts of electrical power from the battery. So your claiming to literally run your engine on water. That is what your saying right ?

    Hook the HHO line to the carburetor fuel line and restrict the intake by half like that guy in Spain did. There you have throttle control. One third of the gas in free oxygen so the engine does not need to breathe as much atmosphere. So don't forget to half way block the intake.

    Just completed the break-in period and so far the unit is operating perfectly ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y . I was amazed by just how quiet this little guy is. I kept having to walk down the driveway to the generator to make sure it was still running. In fact, the most annoying noise coming from the set-up is a high-pitched chirping coming from the pressure regulator on the propane line. I suppose it's possible my other propane-powered generator's pressure regulator is making the same noise, but the generator itself is so loud I've never noticed it. Build quality so far is excellent. My only nit is the service panel is a little tricky to remove. I feel like I might break off one of the plastic tabs when bending it back. I probably just need to work out the technique, so will not hold it against Champion.Next week I intend to fully load the unit to charge a large battery pack and will update this review if there's any problem (3000W continuous load vs a rated 3100W capacity while using propane). Absent any trouble there, I'm 100% pleased with this purchase.

    IF you do not change your ignition timing then AT BEST the engine will run roughly.
    The problem vs gasoline is that hydrogen needs to be lit later in the engine cycle.
    It takes a long time for gasoline to completely burn which is why the spark is initiated much earlier.
    Hydrogen burns in a fraction of the time so what happens is max cylinder pressure is reached prior to the piston reaching TDC thus if there is not enough momentum to keep the engine rotating the engine is stopped due to pressure.
    The spark timing of a petrol engine is 10 degrees or so prior to TDC whereas you need to light the mixture at TDC.

    Is the genertor a 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Lubricating oil is normally added with the fuel. I cant see hydrogen alone providing enough lubrication in the long run. 4 stroke engine should work.

    If you build a hydrogen cell with neutral plates, one side of a neutral plate will only produce hydrogen, the other side of the neutral cell will only produce oxygen. If you do that setup for the plates you can then build gaskets with separated ports - one direction pure oxygen - the other side of the cell Hydrogen only. Then you could run straight hydrogen into the generator. Also if you get a couple of powerful magnets and put them on each side of the hydrogen cell plates - the extra magnetic electric current will boost production of the cell.

  • @Kennys_World

    Idea: Quit trying to make the generator make its own hydrogen while running… instead make the hydrogen separately using solar or wind power. Then tune the generator to run 100% on hydrogen.
    You’ll ideally need to compress the hydrogen into a tank, so you’d need a decent sized battery bank that is recharged with the solar/wind and DC compressor. I think this is how the energy observer is making its own hydrogen to be stored for use in its electric engine fuel cell set up.

    Thanks for the video, quick point, did you know, you can buy a triple fuel carburettor, for most generators motors, from Chinese manufacturers sites, which I won't mention, as I will be deleted for commercial content, that allows you to run unleaded petrol, LPG and Natural Gas. The Natural Gas ability is the pest, since it is low pressure and would suit brown gas or hydrogen.
    With your current setup, connect everything up as you had it, restrict your intake to 50%, and add a valve on your gas hose going to the generator and allow your hydrogen generator to build up a little gas pressure against the gas production and water pressure, before turning the tap on, then, before attempting to start the engine, open the valve slightly to release a constant flow of gas.

    With my battery charger hooked to 4kw generator, I have around 3790 watts.
    The manufacturer says at 50% load it will use 1.5 gallons of gas in 10 hours.
    At 50% load of HHO, It uses around 1.5 liters HHO/ min.
    I still have 2kw of power left. I did put a 3200 watt load on generator for 1 hour.
    To get 10 hours using more than 50% load I will need around 3.5 gallons of water and electrolyte.

      @@merlin1346 at 100% efficiency Faraday electrolysis generates 0.0114 L/min of HHO using 1.23 watts of power. You need about 5 L/min to run the generator, which is about 540 watts of electrical power. But even at 100% Faraday efficiency, the generator is still about 25 to 50 percent efficient at converting the HHO fuel into electrical power. So you need to generate enough HHO to overcome the loss in efficiency at the generator and still have enough electrical power to keep making HHO so the battery doesn't die. So for example 135 watts from battery must generate 540 watts of HHO. If generator is 25% efficient then it will output 135 watts of electrical power which keeps generating HHO without draining the battery.
      But the first hard part is reaching 100% Faraday electrolysis efficiency. As the industrial method of generating hydrogen is about 60%. However if you design the elctrolyzer right I'm sure you can reach 98% efficiency. It takes 1.23 volts to start electrolysis, so each cell must only have 1.23 volts across it. Meaning if you using a 12v battery your electrolyser must have 12÷1.23=9.75 ,approximately 9 or 10 cells in series. The cell gap can be 1 to 2 mm depending on the electrolyte concentration. Dry cells are more efficient than wet cells.
      The only method I know off that exceeds Faraday electrolysis is Voltrolysis. A method made public by Stanley Mayer in the 1980's but is now rapped up in psuodo science. The method uses a large inductor that resonates with the elctrolyzer(acting as a capacitor). The resonance pulse the water molecules with high voltage resulting in an increase electric filed strength that leads to the water molecules splitting and giving up electrons which flow as current. This current is not taken from the power supply but is produced from the electrolyser itself, thus reducing the overall power consumption. Voltrolysis uses low electrolyte concentration and is said to produce efficiency of over 1700%.

    We use electricity to split wateratoms to be used as hydrogen gas fuel. Why not build an engine to run directly on electricity. Shorten the process and you have less energy loss, more efficiency.
    Or this could be the future if we could get hydrogen from water without electrolyse. Eventually we might be able to build engines that run in sync with infinite energy surrounding us.

      Water will start to split into hydrogen and oxygen around 1.8 - 2.0 volts. Most people will crank the voltage up to 12v which will definitely tear up your plates and produce excess heat and steam. They mitigate this by putting appropriate number of Neutral plates in between the Pos and Neg active plates which will divide the voltages to 2.0 per plate.
      My guess is that your voltage was too high with only 2 plates. The graphite will definitely tear itself into little flakes usually around 10v. This will also oxidize your stainless steel faster. I used to experiment with batteries and super capacitors. I see these problems a lot.

And a T fitting where the engine gets air with a valve to adjust that like how a choke works. The engine dying means you either way to rich with HHO, or way too lean. Also need to have a way to divert off the excess hho safely while you mess around with this.

  • @signalspy
    @signalspy Рік тому +1

    okay first off you need more production. You need alot of hho to even make it idle. Creating enough gas is the easier part of this. The hardest part is adjusting the timing on one of these type engines. You will have to retard timing to fire the engine at bottom dead center. I know that sounds crazy but hho combustion is an implosion not an explosion. It will literally suck the piston up so hard that the end cap will come off the rod. I have done this many many times before I realized what was happening. I was unable to keep rod caps on honda or briggs engines. Then there is the waste spark problem. This will backfire and blow your shit up real fast. You must devise a way to kill the waste spark so the plug only fires at BDC. Conventional engine ignition fires the plug on every cycle or stroke. Then you gotta deal with the air fuel ratio problem. If you read this far then good for you. hit me up for more info.

      Thanks for your comment. Yes I think I'll do that. I'm also going to make an hho gas generator that separates the hydrogen and oxygen. I'm hoping that will help a little aswell. I'll test your theory and mine on a smaller engine too.

    • @signalspy
      @signalspy Рік тому +3

      @@yourworkshopmate372 Yeah I spent years working on this same thing. It will work if you put the coil on a bracket that will allow you to adjust the timing like 180 degs. The engines are just not designed for power on the up stroke. To this right you need a engine that has no intake valve. Or maybe grind the lobe off the cam so that the valve never opens. then install a fuel injector that introduces the hho at just the right time. Its all about the timing. gotta fire it just after bdc. or if your mixing with atmosphere just after tdc but before the exhaust valve opens. You can use another coil on the braket that triggers a relay that will kill the spark so no more back flash. Stan Meyer had the right idea with a water spark plug. The design is a modified magnetron using resonant cavity to produce rf in the water. Thing looked llike a diesel fuel injector. Imagine that. Im sure stan encountered the same issues as I did which led to his optical ignition pickup etc etc. Key here is its an implosion... When it fires it creates an implosion. Same as when we hear thunder. The lightning bolt ignites the air turning to plasma and creating a void in the space time. This void collapses with the force of the universe and hence we hear the thunder. The boom is not the explosion, Its the collapse of the void slamming into itself. Kinda like a star when it blows up and creates a black hole. I could go on and on. Its nice to see someone else at least trying to figure this out. Good luck my friend the world needs more people like yourself. Keep up the good work!
