For that amazing strange rope hero game, being all detailed and working so well, it's a unity asset bundle you can buy for pretty cheap, it comes with mobile touchscreen controls, and is made super easy to set up. All these people do is buy this assets, which is all the game is, then they add advertisements, and add downloaded 3d models like the spider man and the cars and city. It's like a "make your own GTA", just add your own sounds and stuff

I think I was trying to get the point across that these sorts of hero games are all using the same template unity project that a real developer worked hard on, only for it to get ripped and re-used over and over for these sorts of "asset flip" games. The person who put the real work in ends up getting no credit/recognition/money for these games that generate the flippers a huge amount from advertising. I'm pretty sure this was in response to something Vinny commented about one of those hero city games being surprisingly competent, and I wanted to explain why, and maybe try shine a light on the person who's actually made it competent, but doesn't get what they deserve for all the work they've done.

I didn't even realize it until I went back to watch the previous Quality Android Trash video, but there were a lot of games here that Vinny played during that stream.
You know, I used to enjoy these showcases immensely, but now I'm met with actual genuine anger, and for a few good reasons as to why. It's the fact that these games, pratically low-effort shitposts generated by a possible algorithm are making money off of people who don't have to work that hard. Stolen assets directly from other IP's with the same concepts and connections to other franchises. All while this is left on the Google Play Store. And that's just disgusting. The fact that Google has zero quality control on this sort of thing is appalling to me. It seems almost like they don't care that they've got ads running on this sort of stuff. Mostly because, I think, Google makes a percentage of the ads run on their platform. And the fucking ads are for games that almost all look the same (save for Fate/Grand Order, which I'm a regular player of, but at least that looks different from the rest of the ads I saw featured in this compilation). What the fuck *is* mobile gaming, and why the fuck is it that all the advertisements I see for these "games" on their all look the fucking same? As someone who is currently learning Unity themselves, I hope that this trend of shit, low-effort games being able to make a lot of money sees itself stomped out, because this is content undeserving of its fortune. It reminds me of the SpidermanElsa videos that UA-cam let stay up. It scares me to think that this is the future of gaming for the next generation. As someone who grew up loving video games, and someone who grew into wanting to make them, this is a sad time to enjoy them right now.

That advertisement guy really did sound like he was in a TV show trying to portray video games. He could not have sounded more generic if he tried.
I love how, in these videos, there is at least one or two legitimate games with actual effort put into them.
I didn't even realize it until I went back to watch the previous Quality Android Trash video, but there were a lot of games here that Vinny played during that stream.

You know, I used to enjoy these showcases immensely, but now I'm met with actual genuine anger, and for a few good reasons as to why.
It's the fact that these games, pratically low-effort shitposts generated by a possible algorithm are making money off of people who don't have to work that hard. Stolen assets directly from other IP's with the same concepts and connections to other franchises. All while this is left on the Google Play Store.
And that's just disgusting.
The fact that Google has zero quality control on this sort of thing is appalling to me. It seems almost like they don't care that they've got ads running on this sort of stuff. Mostly because, I think, Google makes a percentage of the ads run on their platform.
And the fucking ads are for games that almost all look the same (save for Fate/Grand Order, which I'm a regular player of, but at least that looks different from the rest of the ads I saw featured in this compilation). What the fuck *is* mobile gaming, and why the fuck is it that all the advertisements I see for these "games" on their all look the fucking same?
As someone who is currently learning Unity themselves, I hope that this trend of shit, low-effort games being able to make a lot of money sees itself stomped out, because this is content undeserving of its fortune. It reminds me of the SpidermanElsa videos that UA-cam let stay up.
It scares me to think that this is the future of gaming for the next generation. As someone who grew up loving video games, and someone who grew into wanting to make them, this is a sad time to enjoy them right now.
