So yes this vehicle is the best SUV I've ever purchased . .

I own a Genesis. However where I am there are no dedicated dealerships and the Genesis service is in with Hyundai. Customer service needs to be improved

I would rather give up the Lexus dealer experience to get a much better built and better quality luxury car. Even if the Hyundai dealer is shady you still come out ahead with a superior car than the subpar Lexus products

I wish the dealership would've shared a lot of the other differences like matte exterior color options, additional interior trims, slight difference in size and feel of wheel and steering column, the model with Captain's chairs with a huge storage area and charging ports between both along with an entertainment center... and I forget what else. Premium fuel is “suggested” per the Genesis dealer I bought mine from (and several other dealer websites I have found). Love my GV80 3.5t! In sport mode it is surprisingly peppy! But still smooth…. Also note Genesis now has a Prestige 20 trim level. Mainly due to them having issues getting the 22” rims. I’m fine with the 20’s as they make for a slightly smoother ride with a touch less road noise.
Always enjoy your reviews. I am surprised in a video focusing on what is new for 2023 you didn't point out the infotainment controller is now the raised version that is used on the GV70. To me that is a big improvement over the concave controller in prior years GV80s.
I noticed that too. Plus, the 12.3" 3D Digital Instrument Cluster/ Head Up Display is now with the 2.5T Prestige package. I hope that that the 2023 G80 will get those changes too.
The only things genesis need to improve are put the massage on the two front seats, provide a full digital cockpit for the base model, and lastly change the steering wheel then I will buy it
I own 2021 GV80 Prestige-great vehicle but is Apple CarPlay now wireless? Is there a permanent turn off switch now for the auto engine stop? Can you get Captains Chairs in second row? Are they offering more wood choices for interior. These are things I thought should be fixed.

Its all very well reviewing these cars, which on the face of it look great. However, being drawn to buying one myself, or at least beginning the process, I took the time to do some further homework. These cars are not getting anywhere near "good" reviews by owners. Many of the issues seem to revolve around dealerships being unable to get parts to do the repairs, or being untrained to be able to do acceptable repairs, let alone the fact that a new care needs repairing so soon! Also "Genesis USA" gets many negative reviews, where after being contacted they do a very poor job of getting issues resolved, leaving many new owners frustrated, and in many cases without a replacement car. So the moral of the story is, do not base you decisions to buy on these kind of pro-car reviews, which point you to the positives ONLY! Do you homework and maybe save yourself a $70K heartache!
Kudos to Genesis. Each model (sedan or SUV) has design that will look fresh 10 years from now. The only concern is hopefully Toyota-like reliability. But at 5 yrs/60K miles warranty, it helps put my mind at ease (as I buy cars - do not lease).

As someone from your area, that nearly $4000 "Market Adjustment" that specific dealership is putting on them doesn't fly with me and you didn't mention it in the pricing. I will never buy from that dealer in the future!

My 2021 has HDA II with machine learning. I won't be trading it in on a new one until that comes back. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has it so seems cheap of them to remove it from the Genesis GV80.
The only Lincoln store left in San Diego is in an abandoned Hyundai store😂, man Lincoln customers are pissed they have to drive to La Mesa, CA to have their Lincoln’s serviced at one of the dirtiest dealerships of all time
The pricing of the new 2023 gv80 genesis is irrational and most of the expected consumers will wait and see another NEW 2024 version which will be probably face lift version.
I like it but I think it's over styled. A little too much chrome. Like those people that put the chrome edges around the car door. Seems like the design will play out fast.

None of these vehicles are moving in North America as Ford and Tesla continue to dominate the market for *ALL* Das Auto but of course with the Lincoln marquis for Luxury now as well. Only General Motors can compete with "Stellantis" a very powerful niche product through Jeep and Dodge. The Chrysler Badge has wholly been surpassed ... for now though ... absolutely this is true.
2022 GV80 made the top 10 SUVs to AVOID, due to owner complaints of mechanical failures coupled with lengthy shop time as PARTS were not readily available - so can we expect more of the same? Love the looks and affordable performance, but if it's in the shop and not drivable, all the pluses are moot.
I want to like this car, but it's just that the hideous pointy grill is a huge turnoff. Plus every time I park people would say "nice Bentley" and I would just have to shake my head.

As Lexus is a Toyota or Audi or Bentley are volkswagen, what the point? These cars included Genesis now are great brands on their own. By the way genesis designers and most engineers are Europeans. They have done in few years what took the germans years. I know what im talking about as a proud owner of a Porsche and a Genesis. The stupid arrogance of this kind of statement its the reason why most people in western countries will be soon all working for Asians or Arabs.
Clearly Genesis is a great new brand, but they haven't shaken up anything. Their sales volume and model doesn't even compare. The only ones worried are losers like Infiniti, which Genesis passed in sales earlier this year. Tesla has shaken up the market, and they did it without a true luxury product. Go figure.
Can't wait to see what the GV90 is going to look, I love Genesis!!! My favs are the G70 and GV70.. Definitely the benchmark for luxury and value... The 6 seater with captains chairs is amazing but I think it's only offered in Korea.

Compared to the 2021 and 2022, the 2023 has been changed to a form with an adjustable dial protruding from the front seat.
