I also experienced the other side of being a Pathao rider. During my last ride, I dropped off a passenger in Durbarmarg from Baneswor. At that time, Yatayat had decided not to operate any public vehicles. As soon as I dropped off the passenger, a man came running towards me, asking me to drop him off in Samakhusi and offering to pay me the same amount shown in the app. I suggested that he should search for a ride on the app, and since I was nearby, I would eventually receive his request. However, he refused, claiming that the request takes too long. Eventually, I dropped him off at his destination, but he refused to pay me and accused me of doing an offline ride. He even threatened to report me to the police. I was shocked because I had never encountered something like this before. Later, while waiting for a customer, I shared my experience with another rider who told me that such incidents are common, but they are not widely reported because the rider could also get into trouble.

I experienced the worst case in Pathao as it was early morning (6am)
And I missed my bus and worst part was there was my exam and a pathao rider told me I will take u to ur destination and he didn’t talk about money (destination was from boudha to dillibazzar) I showed him short cut and we reached there in 10 min but still he asked me to pay him Rs 300 and I told him I can’t then he told me
u were late so I drive fast. At last there was no option left then to pay him so I payed.
Finally dai, was waiting for this topic and awareness that should be spread.😇

I was at the hospital with my disabled friend .
Our destination was just 3-4 km far.
I placed order for taxi in the pathao but no rider took my order and even 2 rider accepted my order then few minutes later they phoned me and asked to cancel the order .
At last I was forced to take a offline taxi and when
And during our ride i found that ,that driver was also on pathao but he was not taking order.
They don't accept the order of short distance and force us to take offline ride to demand high charge .
This was my bitter experience.

The same thing always happens to me.Jhan belka ride book garda,accept nai garnu hunna kasaile,when there are tons of offline riders nearby.Even online ride book garda,pachi cancel garnu hudo raicha ,which I find out later.However the customer service of pathao is really good and they take care of it most of the times complain garyo bhane.

Like overseas if you compliant against the riders , the riders account will be suspended and eventually terminated if it persists over and over… if this doesn’t happen then they will always manipulate the price …

Online price 250 hune maa offline 500 demand garda rahexan . By god 3 hours hiderai office pugiyo ani beluka farkida chai online pathau paaye tara vane jati price maa kaha laanthyo ra . 500 tirnu vanda online wala lai khushi khusi 350 diye ...
Pathao takes higher commision rate making them expensive. If the rides were cheaper I guess anyone would choose Pathao over Indrive.

You dont get into someones bike thinking "oh! I will be in accident." Thats the least of anybody thinking. Thats why you see more hyundai i10 on roads than TATA vehicles. My point is a common person goes for the cheaper option always. If Pathao wants to get rid of indrive than it has to do so by decreasing their commision percentage and making rides cheaper. If a rider does a ride of 300RS than he/she has to pay 60RS from a single ride to the pathao office and they get to lecture about ethics? I suggest you do the math
I too got scammed . I am from pokhara. I in KTM, from kalanki to laxmithan a person demanded me 500 after a ride. It was showing just 100 in app. So i argued but he finally took 400 as it was my mistake i took offline ride. It was a bad experience.

Recently i came to ktm from htd. I arrived at balkhu and had to go lainchaur and i was thinking of using pathao but before oppeing pathako app a person appeared in front of me and told me that he was from pathao and if i had to go somewhere he woud drop me but i refused to go with me at first and tried opening app but my data was not working properly so atlast i decided going with him because my app wasn't oppeing so I agreed with him. And after some time we arrived at lainchaur and ny brother was already waiting for me. He dropped me there and when i was about to pay him he asked me like 450-500 rs. I didn't know if that was correct amount or so i was about to pay him but my brother refused to pay him that amount and he oppend pathao and showed me the real amount of ride from balkhu to lainchaur which was 150 and he i told me to give that amount only. I was about to be scammed but because of my brother my money was saved ❤ So i suggest not to use offline ride there is high chance of getting scammed 😢
