He tried to have him assassinated back when Kakashi was in the anbu because he coveted his position as Hokage. He despised Tsunade partly because she was a student of the Hiruzen and she held strong to his morals. Danzo did all the dirty work because someone had to and Hiruzen was often too afraid to make the hard choices. Nearly Everything Danzo did was for the village, I'll acknowledge that. But the ends never justified the means. Especially since he was responsible for a good chunk of bad that happens in the show.
Sasuke vs Danzo, one of the best fights in all anime (not just Naruto), I love when Danzo throws shirukens covered with his wind technique, Sasuke dodges (the animation and OST were great) Sasuke dodges and managed to deflect one of the shiruken towards the sky, he advances towards Danzo, the latter catches him with his arm, and there, we are surprised to see the eagle (Sasuke's summon) which cuts the arm of Danzo (after recovering the deflected shiruken) thus opening an opening for Sasuke to strike! and subsequently discovers that Danzo when he caught Sasuke, he took the opportunity to put a mark to paralyze him... in just a few seconds, we see the richness of the fighting style of this anime (naruto), the The fights of other animes are based on basic things such as strength, speed, the elements (fire, water etc.), but the Naruto anime surpasses them all, we have several dimensions and principles, with super intelligent characters (Sasuke , kakashi, Minato, etc), we can see that an overly grand technique such as izanagi (which Danzo used) was defeated with a simple genjutsu... If the other fighting styles of other anime are compared to a game of checkers, that of naruto is a game of chess with all its riches in possibility of moves, tactics and strategies etc. I've been watching anime since I was little, since 1993 (DBZ, Saint Seiya etc); Naruto anime's fighting style remains the best (for me) to date. But there's no mention or record of Shisui's eye ever being used against another Mangekyou user. There's no substantive evidence against the possibility that Sasuke just resists or breaks it with his MS if Danzo tried using it. Another win condition for Sasuke could've just been using his copy ability for once to learn Izanagi (which isn't a MS ability) and use that to deal with it. It's crazy to think an OP power like Shisui's eye is still just a hail mary against Sasuke but that's actually the case. Theoretically, any sharingan user would just immediately genjutsu then delete you 1v1, Shiusui's eye is just overkill with unclear limits. Still, I doubt phantom experiences could actually make Sasuke commit suicide because what could Danzo possibly show him that's worse than what Sasuke's already had to live through anyways? It's not like Shisui's eye can induce physical pain or time-loop, it just subtlety manipulates memories from the sounds of it. And didn't Mifune just immediately break that shit once he was aware? Not saying it isn't powerful, but Kotoamatsukami is still weaker and less of game changer than Izanagi, you're well aware of why that is yes? There's a surprisingly large gap between the "ultimate genjutsu" and an ability that literally auto-counters any and all possible realities including death. Case in point, if Danzo were attacked by someone too fast to genjutsu like the Raikage, he could still use Izanagi to land a paralysis curse mark and then Ay's dead because wind beats lightning as well (and yet Sasuke still cancels out the rasengan 🤔). Consider Danzo's wind-style cut through stone pillars like nothing and ripped open Susano'o whereas the Raikage barely managed a tiny crack when he went for the kill. Not to mention, Danzo also has Hashirama cells so you can't say nothing about old age when it gives him the physical strength to activate that many sharingan simultaneously. Kakashi struggles at times to maintain just one. So Danzo's extremely strong I give him that. Perhaps that's why no Hokage attempted to dissolve the Foundation, kinda the only thing that makes sense. For posterity, it's in bad taste to downplay the fact Sasuke killed one the most despicably evil characters in this show and got some justice for the Leaf Police force. And lastly, the real reason why Danzo had zero chance from the start is because Kishimoto's favorite character is Sasuke Uchiha who sometimes seems like the de facto MC because he is just read between the lines. Plenty of evidence to support this. I mean, do haters not know anything about the long-standing feud between Kishimoto and SJ? Probably not. It's to be expected 1st time watchers lean Narutard he's an established shonen formula after all, Sasuke on the other hand is the only substantive seinen-level protagonist in the show who more or less defined an archetype and was the character the author obviously wanted to elevate. Kish was actually more into seinen manga prior to starting Naruto which is where the strength of the writing lies...the darker plot elements, anti-heroes/villains and the tragedy. If people care so much about this show that they're willing to be caustic over what they thought it was then I'd suggest they're missing the point of not just the story but fiction in general. Kishimoto's not as terrible a writer as disgruntled fans claim, many of the plot-holes were created because of SJ's demands and interference. They worked him like a dog for 15 years, altering his story, making him skip his honeymoon and the rest of it. The Naruto franchise has generated over $1 billion and yet Kishimoto's net worth is only $20 million? I get it, if I were in his shoes I'd push-back too.
@@madmonkey40 The fact that he was repeatedly killed except on 2 occasions was literally his choice having decided from the beginning to fight by spamming innzanaghi, he even tried to use a kunai against susanó for simple curiosity 🤣 In any case Danzo was certainly no longer the Danzou of once, not only for years he didn't train but he never fought being by now a politician, any kage BUT TSUNADE would have killed him and probably making much less effort than Sasuke. About the plots, the major companies and the exploitation of kishi I dont know what to tell you, all I have pointed out is that Danzou fought without sharinghan which even only in basic form would certainly have helped him in battle for example perhaps he would not have fallen for the genjutsu which showed him the open eye in his hand and clash Sasuke Danzou still ended up with a draw, only that as happened with Killer bee he was healed by the girl. Not to mention Shisui's power that we actually don't know how powerful it is but Danzo was confident that it would work on Madara so I don't think it's child's play to free yourself from one of his eye jutsu
