Got a Sand coloured Akto I use in the winter, that replaced my previous 23yr old leather patch version. It’s a fab tent! I use an Enan for 3 season use, lover the 1+ inter plenty of room for stuff next to the pocket, the hoop porch still stable in wind when open, and for cooking in wind the fly comes down to ground! For British hill conditions I think they’re both superb!
I have just returned from a four-night camping on the Carneddau. My major problem was going off my food on all nights and even water tasting different and my mouth being too dry to masticate food. I am smaller than you, weigh 60Kg and backpack was 17Kg at times. I lost 5Kg in weight, this is not good. I am not doing it again, no big deal.
I'm heading to the moors soon for four nights I'll be about 8-9kg inc food fuel power . Hopefully less than 10kg it's the food fuel and power banks that add up for me.
It is such a wonderful tent. Had it for some years ago 😊
Yes I'd agree it's wonderful 😊

I can see needleholes in some places on my fjallraven abisko lite 1, after tensioning it. Do you have smth like that on your akto?
Not obviously so but even if the occasional ones do they don't really leak
@@TonyHobbsI just worry if it a gonna expand and fray more. So far ok..
@vvs3796 yours is a good brand so it shouldn't. I know my MLD stuff occasionally I see through pin stitches never issue
@@TonyHobbsok.. I m actually thinking of getting an old shelter too.
