Holy fuck yes. Son Lux as Ryan Lott, Son Lux as Ryan plus Ian and Rafiq--it's what taught me how to appreciate the depth of music rather than just consume it on a superficial level.
What I've wanted to do on drums forever..trigger sounds and lights from the kit..please post a behind the scenes!/ the making of!!

This needs to be its own genre and many more artists need to contribute because I can't get enough.
Well, yes! On the one hand: Totally!
On the other hand: How do you want to reach that level of musicality on drums?
I mean: I would even consider myself a drummer with a lot of musicality and a love for these kind of rhythms that consider a metronome more of a guideline. But then you also need to be in this technical stuff and sound design... you won't find many people on this planet who combine these talents like Ian does.
I love him. His music gives me goose bumps.
Don’t get stuck on genre names, but this falls under the Experimental, Avante-Garde music or Avante-Garde Jazz.
Check out Deantoni Parks when you can. He does this kind of thing as well.

I remember Ian's performance with Son Lux always being incredibly intense. Really looking forward to witnessing this solo project at a show some time!

Oh man! You beat me to it! I've had this idea for years of triggering lights in a dark studio while I play the drums. Super dope, and great execution. Very musical and expressive-I love what you're doing with the Sensory Percussion triggers (that's what brought me here). Great work man!

I really really loved you at OFF Festival 2015 (with Son Lux), I couldn't focus on any other band for the rest of the month~ I don't remember being so impressed by a drummer since I discovered The Who back in my early teens, lol. good luck~!

Really great stuff. The execution of pocket while playing electronic drums is a unique mastery of latency and dynamic control of the velocity sensors. I just made that up and I like how it sounds lol. But in all seriousness, man I was nodding to this. Dope for sure.

Found this great solo on Kickstarter! Wow man! Love the sound and concept! If I could I'd donate for the Kickstart Gold project this month. Been playing drums all my life and I'm 60 now. This get's pretty hot at the end. How did you interface the lights and what did the projection behind you originate from? I really really liked this alot!
