Man Barricades After Discharging Firearm in Front Yard of Home

  • BAKERSFIELD, CA, Sept. 14 (KNN) - The Bakersfield Police Department took a man into custody Wednesday night after a barricade situation with the suspect who was shooting a firearm in the front yard of his residence,
    At approximately 8:20 p.m., Bakersfield PD received a ShotSpotter gunfire activation in the 300 block of South Haley Drive, according to Sgt. Andrew Tipton in a BPD press release of the incident. Several spent shell casings were found in the front yard of a home at the location.
    A surveillance video was located which depicted the tenant, Joshua Juarez, 33, negligently shooting a firearm in the font yard of his residence, according to Sgt. Tipton.
