      In fact, Germanic languages follow some of the most logical patterns, when it comes to words and pronunciations etc! And that explains why almost all the words in Germanic languages are a pretty / well-constructed word and why they sound so pretty and refined etc and why they have way less neutral words than the other pretty languages (the Celtic languages and most Latin languages etc) and only a few non-pretty words, like, it is not easy to find non-pretty words in Germanic languages, so for Dutch, it is like one non-pretty word (or two non-pretty words maybe) in about 1.000 pretty words, from what I noticed, so I couldn’t find more than 10 to 15 non-pretty words so far, and some of the non-pretty ones aren’t even that non-pretty, but only a bit on the non-pretty side, but are more like neutral, so, out of all the Dutch words I’ve seen / learn so far, only about 5 / 6 words are really non-pretty / embarrassingly funny-sounding aka the type of word I would never use! But most languages, on the other hand, have mostly non-pretty words or mostly embarrassingly funny-sounding words and only a few pretty / neutral words, and there might even be some languages that have only non-pretty words and no pretty words at all!

      However, misusing big terms (in Dutch or any other language) is beyond wrang, so one must also know the facts that respectability / superiority pronouns like U / Uw / Gij etc and other big terms (Mevrouw / Juffrouw / Dame etc) and other big / royalty terms only reflect me and are only meant for me THE respectable / superior being aka the special being aka The Leader / Princess / Queen / Lady / Star etc, and such terms cannot be misused by hum’ns - I also am the only vrouw / meisje / meid etc and the only lief / lieve being and the only lovable / loved being aka the only vriendin etc, and my pure protectors aka the alphas are the only beings reflecting the words man / heer / meneer etc and vriend etc, so such terms and all love related terms etc and all other big terms and other purity terms like flower / plant / nature / gemstone / light / astral terms or names etc and special names etc and compIiments / seasons / colors etc cannot be misused by hum’ns in names or yt names or in comments or in videos etc, and such terms / names (and items that reflect such elements, including flower print cIothes etc) only reflect me and are only meant for me, and should never be misused by hum’ns, and, even words like m’nsen / m’ns and m’nagers or men are unsuitable for hum’ns because they contain words like man or men in them, so one should at least spell them that way (like m’nsen instead of mensen) until a new word that doesn’t contain any unsuitable words / unsuitable letter combinations etc is invented, and, food related terms like lekker cannot be misused by hum’ns when referring to actions that hum’ns do etc, and can only be used when referring to food & weather & other pure elements of nature!

    • @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016
      @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016 Рік тому

      And, the normal pronouns je / jij must always be used when talking to all hum’ns, since all hum’ns are an avrg citizen made to obey the avrg citizen’s laws and rules, as every other hum’n - oude people or employers etc aren’t some sort of ‘special’ / ‘superior’ being that one should address using special pronouns / terms, which is beyond _ and only promotes impztz and dscmnsn! So, this is even more important! So if one is learning Dutch (or any other languages) etc, one must make sure one doesn’t misuses unsuitable terms / unsuitable pronouns that only reflect me THE superior / respectable beings, because sadly most of these people teaching languages and most videos do promote big term misuse / impztz, instead of following logic and using the normal pronouns and not misusing the big terms!

    When you want to learn the Dutch way, there's no better way than to learn Dutch. In Dutch I can really explain the Dutch way. I can do it in English or German, but it's not the same. The feel is different. When you speak English or German (or Afrikaans!) Dutch isn't so difficult.

    • @OntarioTrafficMan
      @OntarioTrafficMan 2 роки тому +6

      Exactly. I could probably live with no problems without speaking Dutch, but learning the language was totally worth it for the ability to fully integrate. Little things like knowing what people are saying around me, being able to answer questions without asking for English, participate in events which occur in Dutch etc.
      And Dutch is not that hard if you already know English and another language (in my case French).

Both the buyers and rental markets are completely insane at this moment, thanks to our government. There's far, far more people looking for a house than actual houses. We're currently even turning boats, tents and shipping containers into places to life, that should tell you something about how dire the situation is...

    I do want to warn all the enthusiastic people advertising that it's great to live in the big city, that I am currently living in a small city, and I've been on the waitinglist since I was 16. I'm 30 now, and there have been some houses that I decided not to rent, but you have to wait ages before another one comes along.
    Another girl I know, currently lives with a baby in a flat with her whole family, because she can't find a proper appartment for herself and the baby and her boyfriend, because of strict rules about income and her job and so on.
    Bottomline, there's a big housingcrisis. Use public transport and rent a place in a nearby city, with housemates.

    I found it interesting the Irish guy now has an American accent- I assume from speaking to Dutch people and other foreigners who speak with an American accent and Irish accent is not far off American. Does worry me he's been there 15yrs and doesn't speak Dutch- I have just got a job in NL and my co-workers (Dutch) are joking saying it's too hard, don't bother learning, didn't even occur to them I want to learn, they just immediately reassured me everyone speaks English- when I said I really want to learn Dutch they just tut-tutted. I have learnt French as a second language and I believe in myself with Dutch but I do worry if everyone just speaks to me in English- I will just keep asking to speak Dutch and sign up for hobbies/classes that are taught in Dutch (not language lessons- like fitness, art etc.) since I won't get much practice at work.

      I would recommend you to learn Dutch, if you're living here: knowing the mother tongue of someone gets you much closer to that someone than just communicating in some external language which doesn't have any affective value for that person. :) Plus, a lot of things are only in Dutch and a lot of social events too, so it's a great advantage!

      Are you going to live in a city or a town? Maybe it would be interesting to live in a small town in order to get to socialize with the locals. The only disadvantage would be possibly the distance (commute time) to work, but maybe not. Take this into consideration. Good luck!

    I thought I'd see more Indonesians as foreigners in this vid considering the long colonial ties. I think there were none shown in the vid but there was a Korean, Bulgarian and others...I think the Dutch colonized Indonesia in the 1620s so it's a long time for cross-cultural exchanges and for some Indonesian expats to visit or try life in the Netherlands.

    Ik denk dat het altijd heel belangrijk is de taal van het land te leren, als je wil leven in het land. Waarschijnlijk kan je veel in engels oplossen maar het geeft de verhurer (?) de misschien geen nederlands praten of je bent en un groepje met nederlanders en zie spreken natuurlijk nederlands in de groep. Er fout het gevoel van integratie met de mensen. Wil je alle mensen verzoeken engels te praten in die situaties?
