Hosta is like candy to deer and snails.
You've hit the nail on the head! Hostas are indeed like a gourmet meal to deer and snails. They absolutely love the large, tender leaves of this shade-loving plant. If you live in an area with a large deer population or have a significant snail or slug problem, growing hostas can be quite a challenge.
Gentle spray of "Deer Out" once a week or so starting as soon as they peek thru the soil in Spring works great for my garden.
Fox urine will keep the deer away.

Lily of the valley are aggressive. Will take over your yard must be contained
These plants will out grow and kill other plants that get in their way. Do not plant into the ground. If you must have them be sure to only plant them in a container. Took me years to get rid of this plant. Use great caution.
Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis) is a beautiful plant, but it's also known for its aggressive growth and can spread quickly under the right conditions. It's indeed best to plant them in a contained area or use some form of root barrier to prevent them from taking over.

Lilly of the valley are quite invasive and deadly to dogs. They take over quickly.

Luckily, there are plenty of other tough-as-nails perennials to choose from that are pet-friendly and just as beautiful! 🌺🏆 Have you tried growing Echinacea or Hosta? They’re super hardy and garden-friendly! 🌼🌿
Need help with squirrels 😢 that will not stay out of my flower 🌺 pots I just started back out gardening 👩🌾 and I find the signs of them digging in my pots very upsetting thanks 🙏 so much

I’m trying peppermint oil on cotton balls placed in my pots. I also layered rocks and small stones to the pots. It’s helping. Good luck to us both😅

It undermines true gardeners who put their minds and hearts into developing you tube videos. It also undermines them financially - look at the number of followers!!
