I'm in my 40s and I only recently come to the conclusion that I shouldn't work for those companies or bosses whose ethics don't align with my own. I found a new job almost 2 years ago and I actually make so much more money then before in addition to becoming happier as a person. Helen, I applaud you for coming to this conclusion in your 20s, and that must be the reason why your small business continues to be successful. I look forward to seeing this kit in your store. :)

All I can say is people want your products. I do enjoy watching your design process. I started doing a lot of little doodles in my bullet journal last year to reflect things happening through my day and then I went to a new journal and somehow stopped. Watching you design reminds me of how fun it is to doodle and look back on them in my journal.

I have said this on a couple of UA-camrs I watch, this year feels like the year of the calm. With the pandemic and hustle culture before that, I think we all deserve a year of calming and taking a step back to reflect what we want. I think this is true for you because it’s just you doing the design aspect of your business and that takes a lot. So taking time to enjoy and calm yourself is what you need then we will be here when you upload or not. Taking care of yourself is the most important aspect of your life, you deserve it.
Helen, your emotis aren’t just the cutest on market, they appeal to a wide audience. I imagine your market demographic is a lot broader than you think. It’s part of your talent to make simple drawings that are expressive and universally express our emotions and experiences.

In a word: consistency. Helen, you are a fount of creativity and you are uniquely consistent with it. You’re somewhat rare in that way as it relates to stationary. This is one way I see that you’re still here doing the $&:@ thing after all this time. ❤🎉
I think one thing that set your small business apart is personalization-we get to know you as a creative person and see some of your day-to-day life and an inside look at how you create for your business. It builds a connection to your audience and draws them to support you. You should take really good care of yourself, because your health and wellbeing is irreplaceable! ❤ This collection looks beautiful so far.
Most definitely take care of yourself, especially if your body is sending you signals. You are young and successful and have time to continue in your success whether the world says otherwise. Your health is very important and if you don't have that you won't have the other. So please take your advise and slow down and enjoy !🥰🤗💕

Helen, you have such lovely designs and as mentioned from previous comments you care about your customers! Love this finding peace design, the colors and scenery creates a feeling of calmness! It is wonderful that you are taking time to take care of yourself. Morgan Harper Nichols has a quote that says " be kind to yourself on this journey, you have already come so far". I mentioned this on a previous video of yours but on Mariane Cresp video how to use a self-care/break she discuss three types a breaks you can take and Diane in Denmark on her videos for Friday is providing 4 self-care assignments that one could choose from. Also JessicaSmithTV has a video called 1 mile walk and talk 7 self-care lesson we can learn from nature, which is discusses balance.

My 2 cents? Staying true, doing what you believe in, this is what sets you apart. Listening to others input is great, but in the end, you must stay true to your ideas and your visions. Have you ever noticed that businesses whether small or large tend to go out of business when they start doing what others tell them to do? Wall St is behind things like the break up of Motorola (once famous and diverse, now in unrecognizable pieces). So many businesses struggle or go bankrupt because they start trying to be like other companies (Bed Bath & Beyond), and others start to cheap out on their products so they're not the same as what people loved when they first opened (sooo many restaurants). Be TRUE! -- ah, now that would make a great emoti (but only if it fits your ideas and your vision :)

This was very inspiring, Im hoping to start my small business soon and I know that it will probably fail 😅 But it brings me so much joy to illustrate, create stickers and share them with people that I figured it's worth giving it a shot. To me art is a privilage, just being able to do it is already so fullfilling that even if noone ever buys from me I'll still be happy that I have it in my life ❤
