Calling Josh McDaniels mediocre is an insult to established mediocre coaches in the league
It’s an insult to Matt Patricia, Reich, and NFL Urban Meyer
@@JoJoTennisPro you trippin urban meyer wasnt mediocre he was just flat out awful
Rex Ryan has entered the chat
@@JoJoTennisPro Patricia and Meyer were both terrible, not mid, as head coaches
Tomlin is mediocre, and even that scum can outcouch Josh McDaniels.
Now you're gonna have to do a follow up video mid way through next season.
He hearted this video confirmed
I really like the Seattle move and understand the Pete Carroll firing/departure.
The team is going to need a new identity as it's building up after the mini rebuild post Wilson trade. Carrol is 72 and probably going to retire anyways in the next 3-4 years anyways which would be right in the middle of a long term team identity change. With the team potentially drafting a new QB in the next 1-2 years it makes a lot more sense to start the coaching change now while you're in that drafting building process, instead of in 2-3 years when you just got your new assets and are developing them. It wouldn't make sense to draft guys Pete wants on his defense, then hand it over to someone else who then has to make use of a different group of assets than they're used to/want to use.
I'm sad to see the way it ended, I'm a big Seahawks fan, love Pete Carroll, and am a fan of defenses so like his style as well. But I can't say that I'm not excited for this move.
I ain't read Allat but Mike was absolutely the right hire
@@Megatron2012 oh yeah I agree, tldr Pete Carroll's retirement timeline doesn't align with the teams build path. Mike is good defensively, and the objective right hire. Just sad to see it end poorly since Pete has given this city a damn good run and is an awesome guy.
this is beautifully put. you’re 100% right. i just wish at the very least carroll could be kept around as a hype man 😔
@@alshoutcasting9101 all the talk he was gonna be in the front office just to say he gonna coach again it's a mess it wasn't like he was losing his touch either but Mike is more than a worthy successor
We all knew he had to go sometime soon, given his age and his track record of good-but-not-great seasons. Still, I’m gonna miss is Football Dad energy.
Man people keep saying they don’t know why the Hawks moved on from Carrol but it should be obvious, he’s a defensive coach who’s had a bottom five defense for nearly a decade, just can’t do that 🤷🏽♂️
That is very true, I will still miss him though but I'm happy we got a coach that knows how to make our defense look actually good
One thing you didn't mention about Canales is that Tepper used Sportsology to help him hire a HC.
The last first-time HCs that Sportsology hired were Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay.
It doesn't mean anything for Canales but it shows that Sportsology can find good guys to promote to HC.
I got full belief in brian cally as my new coach. Our o line has been crap fir to years and papa cally will help. Zac has came out and said multiple times that brian has had a everything to do with play calling besides actually calling them. I agree with the mid grade until i see results though. Titan up baby
I mean Raheem Morris already probably has a better roster now than he did at any point in Tampa. If they get the right QB he could have a lot of success in Atlanta.
Raheem was all about protecting Rich McKay. Falcons get to stay in 6-9 win purgatory for 3 more years
@@dmmart42low IQ take.
@@dmmart42 If you actually watched the falcons, you would know they'd easily have a solid 9 wins if their qb play wasn't so inept. Along with their head coach thinking he was more clever than what he was. I'm not a big Morriss supporter. But the staff and players in the falcons building now are built to actually have some progress, especially if they get a qb that can utilize the weapons on offense and not throw/fumble games away
@@dmmart42yeah bro you’re drunk.. horrible QB with a turnover issue and a head coach who was way in over his head that didn’t utilize his skill players is what derailed this season. This team easily gets 9-10 this season with a solid QB
Very true. Morris did get stuck with the Jon Gruden/Bruce Allen dregs when he got the Bucs. He's got a good roster and organization behind him. So this will be very much on him to succeed or fail
I am a Titans fan, I adore the Callahan hire, now, are there concerns like play calling, 100%, but I like the fact that he reportedly had a very major role in offensive game planing and play design, also, I LOVE his connection with Ran Carthon.
I see what the Titans (i´m a fan of them myself) are trying to do, hiring a coach that worked succesfully and close with QBs so we don´t waste that Will Levis potential. But I dont know if a new HC can fix the loss of many key players over the last 2-3 Seasons and therefore giving up the defensive stability that Vrabel kinda established compared to pre-Vrabel times.
@@TheSmokingScarecrow It's going to be rough. Vrabel had the locker room and a winning record. In addition our poor drafts the last 4 years have us in a bad spot player wise. We need Ran to draft well to compliment the $$$ we spent in the off season and Brian has to develop Will or it will seem like a downgrade through and through. Our secondary is on the up and up it seems, but we also lost Autry, our most productive defensive player last year. It will be a tough as always and we will need to TITAN UP!
@@TheMrVerified I’ll never forgive J-rob for trading AJ brown and drafting that benchwarmer Burks. And I’m saying it now, Tvondre Sweat is giving MAJOR Isaiah Wilson vibes.
Yea y’all are right but I am a Titans fan and we have replaced a lot of key positions like running back in Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard
We also brought in Tyler Boyd which was on the Bengals like Callahan and we have a core Wr group that is really underrated
Dude I’m a Seahawks fan and I already love Mike Macdonald. Dude is super likable and I am SO pumped for next season already.
Not to mention all the other coaches to help him out and how we still have so much talent
The Chargers should be on hard knocks to make sure Jim harbaugh don’t steal signs
I'm excited about the Panthers hire. tepper finally realized he sucks at hiring and hired a group with a good track record to help him. I know some Panthers fan sites were complaining they hired too quickly (whatever that means) but I view it as the Panthers picked someone that checked the boxes, comes with a great background and honestly was the best option (they were never going to get Jim h and I think tepper was smart enough to know he couldn't control bill b)
The fact that Ben Johnson ended up staying only makes the Panthers decision to hire "quickly" look better. Otherwise we'd have to panic hire someone, which I have a suspicion might have happened last year given Tepper's alleged affinity for Ben Johnson
The Commanders’ fall back was Mike Macdonald. Too bad the Seahawks beat them out. 😎
@@unc54 I think he got over Ben this year I wonder if the brain trust was like "dude he ain't leaving. move the crap along" Reich seemed ok on paper... gods only know what dysfunctional garbage went on in that building though
Tepper still needs to sell the team though, he's one of the worst owners in the league and is way too involved with personnel. Though I do think hiring Canales was a good choice, which would be his first good choice since he bought the team.
@@DanielleBaum That situation was so bad that it made Reich look like he aged about 15 years in the half season he was our coach. I don't doubt that it had to do with how overly involved Tepper is with making player personnel decisions. If Tepper wants a successful team, he has to learn to let the coaches and gm he hired make the player based decisions.
As a ravens fan and a seahawks fan, I am of mixed opinions on the Mike Mac hire. On the one hand, I despise the seahawks for hiring him, and I wish he had stayed/been the Ravens HC, but as a Seahawks fan, I'm interested to see where it goes, and wish him success.
I’m a Raiders fan and I feel the same way about the AP hire as well as the GM hire. I know AP is a players coach and can rally the team, but as we’ve seen, that doesn’t always equate to wins. I do love listening to him talk and the passion he has for the Raiders is a breath of fresh air, but I’m still nervous. Hopefully all the experience he’s surrounded himself with to help him out, puts wins on his record. I’m crossing my fingers!
Dave canales almost made me become a panthers fan just cause he coached at my high school
Lol there’s plenty of room on the fandom if you want to join
Lol. Almost.
Even with a personal connection to a HC, it's still questionable to be a fan of the Panthers. 😂
@@Chadillac-xq7xkgod damn bro, one bad year and now we're the Jets/Browns or smtn? That hurts
I’m a falcons fan. Raheem Morris doesn’t upset me. He (unlike Arthur Smith) utilized his players well and found success.
I hated the Dan Quinn hire at first and then he said he’s not gonna call defensive plays and put together a pretty good staff next to him.
Stay cautious. His last year as HC in ATL he took over defensive playcalling and our defense looked awful.
Maybe he's learned since then, but be cautious. Lol
@@Chadillac-xq7xk It's sorta funny he actually called the defense his entire time here besides 1 season in 2017. The defensive finishes in all his years of calling plays were 16th, 25th, 25th, 23rd and his 1st 5 games going 0-5 in 2020 he was 32nd. In 2017 the only year have gave up play calling duties to Marquan Manuel the Falcons defense ranked 9th in the league lol. When Coach Rah took over the defense in 2020 after Quinn got fired they finished 11th for the last 11 games or so. As long as Quinn isn't calling the defense for Washington i think he is a good HC. But when he tries to do both things he gets overwhlemed and sucks at defense then.
Any carousel that ends without Carroll is an improvement. Now he can get back to pursuing his true passion of paying for Leinart’s escorts and Bush’s mortgage. 😎🤔
Canales is a good hire for Carolina - given how my Colts have done with the Steichen hire, any team that gets a proven young(er) offensive mind gets a thumbs up from me
Hell yeah, that was my only stipulation during the hiring process as someone who wished we got Steichen last year. Having that fresh blood is too good to ignore, not just for football IQ but also for the energy and relatability it brings to a locker room.
Sad that Pete is gone, terrified and excited at the same time w/ Mike Mac, happy he got some experience w/ the Leslie Frazier hire, but then added coordinators w/ no experience in the NFL, like Aden Durde and Ryan Grubb.
Edit: didn’t know Grubb had two B’s in the name.
Grubb ran one of the best offenses in college the last two years and brought Huff the o line coach with him who is an amazing position coach. The offense is going to be really good and the defense is going to be getting revamped. It's an exciting time for seahawks fans
Quinn may have fastest success, but it will be flash in the pan. 1 good season as rest of division is figuring out out to beat each other.
Raheem Morris hiring would've of been better than Bill Belichick due to his bill's recent OC and morris adaption of the modern game. W hire
Pete got fired cause he’s stuck in 2013 and had 1 playoff win in the last 7 seasons. He refused to change his schemes and hire actually qualified coaches for his staff. Instead he promoted people he knew would just go along with what he said.
Lil extra info on Raheem morris… Mike Tomlin in an interview 2 years ago who worked with Raheem in Tampa said he was the best coach in the league without a head coaching job… now he has one and as u said hiring Zac Robinson as his oc is a good start… I think he’ll end up being this years demeco Ryan’s if they can get a qb with Robinson being their Bobby slowik
I believe that Dan Quinn will be more successful in his second time around. After the fiasco in Atlanta he talked to many players and his old staff asking why he failed. He took those lessons to heart. The staff he's brought in are diverse and successful coaches and teachers. My only worries are the OC and OL coaches. Hopefully, Anthony Lynn will ensure that Kingsbury runs more and puts the QB under center more.
Do you honestly think he's going to talk to the Dallas Defense and ask why he gave up 40+ points to Green Bay? Dan Quinn changes up his entire strategy that he used all season in the most critical part of the season.
The Commanders did have a fall-back option, the problem was that he went across the country instead 😂
Pete’s thing was more of him being stubbornly stuck in his ways of this is how things are done, will be done and there isnt any other way they’re going to be done. The offense severely stepped back from the previous year the team had. The defense was the same crappy defense it had been and when trying something new he refused to give up parts of his scheme so melded it with the new things. Players started checking out and making business decisions trying to avoid hitting, which is a first ive seen under pete so the time to leave was close. Tbh i also checked out half way through the season because there was a long trend through the whole year where it was clear things werent changing and the results were predictable so watching was a of a waste of time. very excited for the new higher and the hawks swinging for the fences, i think they’ve come at it from a very smart standpoint and cant wait.
Hearing a UA-camr (or anyone) say the Panthers did something good, makes me hold my breath. Been a long long time since the Panthers were and did good, I'm hoping it works, if it doesn't, I may quit watching pro football for my mental health lol Keep Pounding Panther Fam
No. 1 NFL analyst! Great video!
What’s more interesting is Arthur Smith being hired as the OC for Pittsburg lol. Boutta kms with that hire
Carol and Bill can be explained with one simple word “Old”
You talked about how Panther’s new HC coached up Baker and Geno, but failed to mention Brian Callahan coached Peyton Manning and Derek Carr when Derek was looking like a top 10 qb. 😅
Knowing what Canales did with Baker and Geno, don’t be surprised if Bryce Young is a top 5 QB in two years
The Harbaugh hire will help the Chargers finish in second place.
Hot take. The commanders getting Quinn is NOT a bad hire. I think the short term stability is something this team desperately needs, and no matter who they picked up, this was never going to be a team that could contend. Building a culture of not being garbage is the best case scenario for them, and Quinn is probably the best bet for that out of the coaches that would’ve realistically considered going to DC.
Hahaha the guy who got too much credit for legion of boom, when he took over as DC was the year they lost and clearly Gus wasn’t good either. All Pete and the talent. Then he gets a great falcons roster. 28-3, rest is history. Flames out. And after the cowboys get dismantled by GB he’s a good hire? We have a track record on his team building. He’s clearly not a good DC just been lucky with talent from other good team builders. And it’s an offense driven league. If you couldn’t land Ben Johnson, why not go for Mike Lafleur or Frank Smith? Or big splash Lincoln Riley. Dabo is known for his positivity and team building. Oh wait, all these guys are under contract. So you have to pay their employer when you poach them. No Quinn was hired because the NFC east is obsessed with each other and he had a 1 year 5mil deal that had expired. Bet Jerry wishes he had that money back to spend on any FA. My mom could’ve coached that defense with all that talent. Cold cut take, Quinn will be tossed in the trash like I do the turkey I forget about every week by 2026 after never winning his division or having a top 12 defense.
@@troycooke5590 I think this team benefits from the stability of being mid. Quinn I would say is NOT good enough to take this team to the playoffs. But I think he is good enough to not be garbage. I think the commies need the consistency of that bc so far they’ve been high and low. They’ve been a bottom 5 team every year and then boom outta nowhere they have a good season, flame out, lose all their players who get overvalued bc of that one good season, and are ass again. The consistent mediocrity that Quinn brings I would argue would benefit this team more than anything else. I’m NOT arguing Quinn is a good coach. I’m saying he was the least bad option. I don’t see why lafluer would go to DC, he’s HC for the packers and they’re a good team. I don’t see why Frank smith would leave Miami for DC. Lincoln Riley is a major question mark. Urban Meyer was one of the best college coaches in the ncaa. Terrible nfl coach. We have no idea how Riley would perform. With Quinn, I think we’re basically guaranteed mediocrity. They won’t win their division. No coach can bring this team to a division title rn. They won’t make the playoffs. They won’t have a top 10 defense. But they won’t have a bottom 10 defense either. They’ll be somewhere in the middle. They won’t be having top 5 picks every year. They’ll pick somewhere between 7-15 every year. (Barring trades)
As a Chargers fan, I never guessed that the chargers would get Harbaugh at the beginning of the 2023 season. I thought Staley was still the guy but I was very wrong. Hopefully the chargers will get Marvin Harrison Jr
I think that the Jerod Mayo process was better than you think. The reason why Mayo was the written successor to Belichick was because he had other opportunities that he turned down because the Patriots promised him that he'd be the next head coach. If Mayo didn't have that in his contract, he'd already have been gone. The Patriots liked Mayo well enough to put that succession plan into writing. Following through on that was the smart thing to do. All sorts of questions about the stability of the Patriots without Belichick would be swirling around them if it ever got out that Mayo was the written successor and they went with someone else. The Patriots were planning for a future without Belichick, it just came sooner than everyone expected.
The Commanders back up plan if Ben Johnson didn't bite was Mike Macdonald. But Seattle boxed them out there.
Both the Seahawks and Commanders were gunning for Johnson/Macdonald. When Johnson chose to stay in Detroit, Washington was unable wrangle Macdonald before Seattle did.
I feel like a lot of people forgot that Eric Bieniemy was on Washington's staff as the OC and could've easily become their Coach if they wanted him to. I know he's 54 but the guy has never had a chance at it even but he coached Patrick Mahomes to 3 Super Bowl appearances and two MVP's. I can't believe he got completely overlooked for that job.
As a seahawks fan, it wasn't super surprising to see the change in coaching. Writing has been on the wall but pete as been such an amazing coach and energy bring-er. Hate to see him go but love to experience this new era.
I remember people speculating that Dallas was going to hire Bellechick, but I never believed Bill would go there... Can you IMAGINE him butting heads with Jerry for control behind the scenes? Even if I thought a team was a good fit for him, he's too used to being the main man behind the curtain. A team would have to be comfortable handing him full control.
The Dave Canales hire will be the best hire, I think
The new head coach for Seattle and of course Harbaugh in L.A. are the ones I look forward to seeing what happens ... I was 😂😂😂 when Quinn was hired by Commanders but HEY... They could "compete" 🤷🏻
No ex or current NFL player dislikes the Raheem hire.
Washington is all good with Dan Quinn. Quinn is a great defensive coach, it's hard to let one bad game ignore him good he had the cowboys defense all season.
One month later and we’re really liking the Dan Quinn hire in Washington. He put together the best coaching staff we’ve had in awhile and everything we did in free agency made sense for once.
Looking forward to the draft
5:33 Brandon Staley begs to differ
i'm hopeful for Mayo, always like him as a player, and i hope he does well. I am kinda sad that we didn't even consider Vrabel, because that would have been exciting for me, having grown up with the McGinnest/Phifer/Bruschi/Vrabel lineup
Should’ve kept vrabel at d-coordinator
Yessss the long-form content is back 🔥
I like the Mayo hire for you guys. He knows the culture in New England well, having been a player and a linebackers coach, and now the head coach for the team. At arguably one of the darkest periods in New Englands history in 2 decades, getting a guy who knows the teams culture is perfect.
As a chargers fan, I think I can finally be excited and hopeful for the next season! This… is amazing! I really hope this works out, we have so many good players but have just choked away every game for years.
I think the afc west is going to be how everyone thought it would be a couple years ago with 3-4 amazing teams
I didn't like the quin hire till he put together a justice league level staff. This gave me faith in him
I think Raheem is a fine enough option as a coach. Harbaugh was clearly the #1 option but after he declined to go there, I can’t imagine who would have been too much better. He was Julio Jones wide receiver coach and Aaron Donald’s defensive coordinator, and he will well in both roles.
I think what helps Raheem this time around is that he has a competent GM in Fontenot and has built a great supporting cast of coaches that have shown they can be successful at the positions they are in.
Tbf when Raheem Morris coached for the falcons they had the career end of Matt Ryan Arthitis ridden Todd Hurley and sports betting Calvin Ridley betting against himself most likely
If you want to understand the Carroll firing you have to take a closer look at the investments made on the defensive side of the ball and compare them to the results over the last seasons. Offense doesn't improve or change aswell. Might be a hint
Its the offseason and we bolts fans are hyped for our no brainer move that will surely bring us to the level of success this team should have. I'll see you all at our annual "how are we 9-8" conference in january
My favorite is the Seahawks hire
I'm a Washington fan, and watching the staff that Quinn has put together is getting me cautiously optimistic/excited to see what comes out of it. I think the Ugly label is way too harsh.
My only other thought is on the Chargers. I think Harbaugh gives them a fast turn around, but it has too since Jim will probably wear out his welcome in 5 years and be gone again.
You should do on the ownership for each team also
I don't like the Harbaugh hire, but it's only because I wanted him to stay with my Wolverines.
As a chargers fan I hope we can finally take the division
As a Niners fan, I hope so to
As a Chiefs fan, good luck
Unless Jim Harbaugh can make all the catches that Chargers receivers normally would drop, _HOW_ do you expect that to happen?
Seriously, HOW?
I was upset that Callahan left the Bengals but i feel like he could make the Titans a consistent playoff contender and elevate them to championship status in the coming years. But he's got the other teams in the division to worry about unless Houston was a one off but it's doubtful. I'm more concerned about how well Jacksonville will rebound.
As a Commanders fan I don’t know what to feel about hiring a Cowboy
Never stop this great content bran
I can’t believe teams are taking Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris over Mike Vrabel and Bill Belichick
Belichick would basically require a full organizational culture change for a guy who at most would retire in like 4 or 5 years.
Power. Plain and simple. Vrabel and Belichick are gonna want some personnel say and a lot of NFL FO aren’t interested in that. The later is also in his 70s and that’s not exactly ideal for a rebuild; which is what most of these teams need.
Live your takes sir no hate. I was skeptical about the Dan Quinn hire the only thing that has made me feel better is the staff he put together
Going from probably getting Ben Johnson, to Dan Quinn. Pain
Possibly the most exciting part of the Mike MacDonald hiring is the fact that he was able to secure Ryan Grubb as their offensive coordinator. Now, obviously transitioning from college to the NFL is a big task, but it's exciting to have an innovative offensive coordinator that isn't limited to following Carroll's rigid and arguably dated philosophies.
With that being said, I'm really curious to see how Waldron does in Chicago. My guess is that he's a better coordinator than he was able to show in Seattle, but maybe I'm wrong and Carroll wasn't the problem.
Dan Quinn may turn out to be a solid hire, based on who he brought in as OC and DC. He and the new ownership got a semi rough rebuild to go through. The WR core is solid, solid RB's, it's that O Line and QB issues.
In my opinion comparing CJ Stroud to Bryce Young is pretty stupid they are in completely different situations Stroud has good weapons like Dameon Pierce, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Dalton Shultz while to save my life I couldn’t name a wr on the panthers that isn’t Mingo or Thielen. Also Young had his head coach fired during the season he just hasn’t been given the tools to succeed YET but with more weapons and better coaching he will.
As a Chiefs fan, let's focus on the two that will actually affect our season before the playoffs.
Jim Harbaugh - may be good/great but the Chargers have underperformed their talent for basically my whole life, but definitely post-Ryan Leaf when Brees came to town until now.
If he keeps and gets talent and they perform how they should I'm worried. If he doesn't do one of those 3 things Chargers be Chargering.
Raiders - Antonio Pierce - I think this is a great hire, at the very least the Raiders defense is going to be a problem even if the team isn't good. He has history working against him of hiring an interim coach and then things going well the season after, but we'll see how patient Mark Davis is (if he isn't this is another blip of mild success in the failure that is the 21st century Raiders and I love it)
The one I am genuinely excited to see (because it will either be really good or really bad) is Arthur Smith as the Steelers OC. We've seen him be really good in Tennessee, but we've also seen him be terrible in Atlanta.
Honestly could be good. A lot of really good OC and DC aren't great HC. Especially their 1st year.
Look at Dan Quinn. Great DC in Seattle, mediocre HC in ATL. Back to being good in Dallas as a DC.
I think Quinn is the most established coaching hire
As a Raider fan I'm extremely excited that we have A. P. He is the perfect person to lead this team back to relevance.
Dave C was also Russell Wilson QB coach when Russ came in as a rookie so panthers fans y’all are gonna be good
He was actually just the WRs coach when Russ was a rookie. But, he was the QB coach during Russ's second wind in 18-19, his best statistical seasons that made him worthy of that blockbuster trade. Bonus: in addition to Baker, shows he can work with short QBs.
As a Panthers fan, I'm very excited.
I agree with you but one thing you failed to mention was that it's strange that eric benamey was hired by the commanders. I thought this was weird. After all of those great yrs in kc nothing.
Pete Carroll was let go due to a mutual agreement that he made with the owner before the year started. He then went back on his word when the season didn’t end how he wanted it.
Also people are acting like he’s retiring young, he’s 72. If they didn’t have such a mid performance he would have been fine retiring.
Quinn gets a lot of hate but he built a damn good staff around him and and had a great draft. “Commanders gonna Commander” gonna take on a whole new meaning, mark it.
Washington could have interviewed Vrabel or Bill
Commanders should have hired Vrabel. I was more surprised about him than Belichik
I wonder how damning it is to Belichick's legacy that teams like Washington went with someone as mediocre as Dan Quinn instead of him. I figured Bill would land with another team, chomping at the bit to finish his job of getting Shula's record.
As a pats fan I like the gerrod mayo hire but as a pats fan who has literally had bellicheck as our coach for my entire life it’s kinda weird to see someone else on the sidelines
I wanted John Harbaugh. Why couldn’t the Falcons have him.
I'll miss Pete but he and Belichick were getting run over with new minds
It always felt like the offense was forced to play like we still had Lynch and Russ. He never adjusted his defense to the times and it cost him
McDaniels will be legendary
I honestly think dan Quinn won’t be half bad, they get a good qb in the draft and kliff can score points. You know he’s got the D, they probably beat cowboys and eagles
As a ravens fan seeing mike McDonald go is frighting
u should do a another onecant the biggest coaching snubbs
I’m a ravens fan an I’m so sad that Mike is gone, this was our best chance to win for years, and we may never have the same success again, since we just resigned agahlor before Mababuike or PQ, we signing the wrong ppl😭
Man i hope John actually brings the Lombardi trophy to Thanksgiving every year
Honestly as a seahawk fan letting go of Pete Carrol is kind of not like past due per se but he’s obviously not getting younger and we just picked up the youngest HC in the nfl right now. I would say it’s more of a Pete not really being able to do a whole lot the last couple seasons with pretty mid play don’t get me wrong I still love Pete and I honestly kinda hoped he’d get a HC job somewhere else to prove he’s still got at least one year left in him but I think he’s sticking it out as an assistant manager for the hawks
"Stuff like this is why bad teams stay bad" that's awesome, so glad I watched till end just for that!
Jim harbaugh and Canales are amazing hires. Can't wait to see what they do
Can you do a mock draft
Love the channel, but I don't think Dan Quinn was a bad hire at all. The commanders wanted a leader in head coach, now they have one. Here are his credentials, created the legion of doom, took the falcons to the super bowl, AND rebuilt the Cowboys poo poo defense into the powerhouse we know it to be today. He's going to rebuild the commanders defense back up again and he'll lead/empower the offense too. And accept for Brian Johnson, he hasn't hired a bad coach. Its a great staff Imo, So yes, he's not the best head coach hiring but I think he will do wonders for the commanders!
Offensive coordinator hires next?
Long form Bran is back you love to see it
Say what you will about Quinn: He builds stud defenses that make the playoffs(they don't go anywhere in the playoffs, but they make them). It's the kind of turn around Washington needs. (You can't win if you don't make the playoffs.) What he needs is that eye for talent he has drafting the right people(I've heard they're chasing Caleb Williams). Then, completely get out of the picture and just focus enough on strategy to get your unit to the playoffs, let your coordinators do most of the motivation and work.
Or don't. I hate Washington anyways and seeing my former DC fail after that shit he hung vs. Green Bay would be the funniest shit I'd ever see. I want him to win the division once though. So Dallas can mow through him to the divisional round.
Cant wait for the chargers to be decidedly mid under harbaugh
the dan quinn hire is 100% a sacrificial lamb cuz i seriously doubt commanders ownership plans to win more than 10 games over the next 3 years
