I always find it funny that "Mama" describes Valencourt as an "Evil Witch" that "put a spell" over Bobby, mainly because her first MAJOR film was The Craft where she played a deranged witch that was inflicting chaos all over the town.
This movie reintroduced Henry Winkler to a younger generation. It could very well be credited with giving his career its second act (which he cinched with his big guest starring role on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT about 5 years later. His performance in the HBO show BARRY most definitely cemented him in his third act as one of the finest American actors the 20th century produced.) And it's all because Adam Sandler mentioned Henry in The Chanukah Song wayy back on Saturday Night Live. Henry was touched that Adam would do that, called him up to thank him, and that's how their friendship began which eventually led to Henry being in this film. It's just amazing the twists and turns a career in entertainment can take.
"Now that's what I call high quality H2O." Fun Fact: This film is the highest-grossing sports comedy of all time, while another Adam Sandler vehicle, The Longest Yard (2005), is the second highest-grossing sports comedy of all time. Cameos Cameos Fact: Captain Insano, the pro wrestler that Bobby (Adam Sandler) idolizes in the film, is played by Paul "The Big Show" Wight, a pro wrestler who wrestled in WCW before it was bought out by the WWE in 2001. Director Frank Coraci plays Bobby's father, Robert. Location Location Fact: The climactic Bourbon Bowl scene was filmed at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. However, the flyover shown in the film is actually of Williams-Brice stadium at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. The Medulla Oblongata scene was shot at Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida and actual students played the extras. The South Central Muddogs' stadium is the DeLand High School football field in DeLand, Florida. The school agreed to let director Frank Coraci use the field if he paid for the stadium to be refurbished after filming. I am one of the many faceless extras when Bobby (Adam Sandler) imagines the multiple Coach Klein (Frank Welker) on the opposing team. Can't prove it, so won't get mad if you call me a liar.
LT is Lawrence Taylor, the greatest linebacker of all time. And football n player period IMO. He said don't smoke crack because he smoked an ounce of crack every single day his rookie year in the NFL.
This was filmed in central Florida. The Bourbon Bowl at the end was played in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The party scene after their first win was filmed in a hotel in my hometown. My high school football coach played for Florida State and got tackled by Bobby in the montage scene.
Me and my friends always thought the same where Bobby Boucher is walking back and forth on the defensive line and fighting with his personal demons and just screaming "stop it!".. if I'm on the offensive line I am not happy about where I'm aimed at. I'm terrified. 🤣
Adam has good chemistry with Drew Barrymore and both The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates are movies women like as much as men do. Uncut Gems, Punch-drunk Love, Spanglish and Click are dramatic roles that were received well and were all good movies.
One of the best lines - "Nice hit momma." Uncut Gems is a very heavy drama. He was nominated for an Oscar. Really shows how great an actor he is. Big Daddy is funny and really sweet.
Some of his movies to watch is “Bedtime Stories”, “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan”, both Grown-Up movies, “Just Go With It”, “Little Nicky”, “Me Deeds”, “Wedding Singer”, “Airheads”, “ I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry”, “The Longest Yard”, “50 First Dates”. A good serious few are “Click” & “The Cobbler”.
These are all my favorite Adam Sandler movies: wedding singer, big daddy, water boy, happy Gilmore, Mr. Deeds, 50 first dates, longest yard, 8 crazy nights, anger management, blended, don’t mess w/ the Zohan, little Nicky and click! I promise all of these are good to watch! 👍
As a kid in england i knew nothing about American football. but i enjoyed this in the cinema so much that i went and got me my first madden game. Ive been enjoying the sport ever since. Its funny what can start a hobby.
So many golden lines crammed into a single film "Coach not only will I do it for you i- i- i- I w- i- ye- yes I'll do it for you!" "What momma don't know won't hurt her" "(Blank) is the devil!" "FOOSBALL" "No coynel sanders you're wrong" "Your names needle dick!"
You'll want to watch Billy Madison, Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, 50 First Dates, Click, for more of his best comedies and I personally like Little Nicky so I'd say that, and also Punch Drunk Love for his first major dramatic role to get something different. These are what I'd recommend out of all of it.
Believe it or not but Katy Bates at first wasn't going to take the part then changed her mind. I love her in Bad Santa 2, Misery and Fried Green Tomatoes
Omg yes!! She was talking about it on the conan show, and her agent sent her the script and she threw it in the trash. Her niece fished it out and begged her to do it!! I’m so glad she did it! She was hilarious
2003's "Anger Management" was a great movie. Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson were so funny together. Also starred Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny), Woody Harrelson, Heather Graham, John C. Reilly and a whole host of characters.
wedding singer was more of a rom com for me, still the same type of humor, but the love interest was center stage. zohan was probably his best comedy since the 90's for me - really close to the same comedy
Regarding the people who say Adam Sandler's career goes "downhill" after this era of movies; This isn't a movie suggestion, but I highly recommend the video "The Adam Sandler Paradox" by Dodford. The video goes over the entire career of Sandler in a 19 minute video, and points out what makes Adam Sandler a very encapsulating actor to many people, regardless of what most people think of his filmography. I am a little biased, as I grew up with these movies, and Sandler literally went to school a few towns over from me, but I think his career is relatively underrated barring maybe two or three films.
I personally don’t find that his comedies fell off after Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Waterboy -There’s also The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, Anger Management, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, Click, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Grown Ups, Just Go With It, That’s My Boy, Blended.
Although this is one of his best i would still say the majority of sandler films are worth watching. I even enjoy some of his newer comedies like grown ups 1+2, blended and just go with it
This is a good Adam Sandler movie but it’s probably the one I revisit the least often because it really gets to me how mean everyone is to Bobby. I know it’s just a movie but it still makes me feel so bad for him. But I’d say Sandler’s two most iconic movies are Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison
I was working on Prison Break 1st season. A guy I worked with made your mama jokes all the time. I made one on him he got so mad at me. He said don’t ever say that about my mom. I snapped at him saying it’s a joke and you make you’re mama jokes at me. He said I don’t give a shit about your mom. I swore at him for saying that and wanted to punch him in the face. I couldn’t because I was working
12:58 professor had some southern class tackled in to him 😂 Also being from Iowa it was always weird to see the Hawkeyes play Bobby Boucher. Are any of the other teams real in this movie?

Billy Madison, Big Daddy, 50 First Dates, and The Wedding Singer are also great.
Don't forget "Mr. Deeds" it has some of my all time favorite Adam Sandler moments.
@@Courier_Seven I'm not sure I've seen it, but I've seen the original.
All great choices!
What about pixels? I enjoyed it anyway.
@@Yugioh420 -- nobody, ever. :)
Need a Vicki Vallencourt in my life. She might be a little unhinged but she's a RIDER. 🥂
Love me some Vicki
💯 😆
she's The Devil!
Absolutely.
She's a 10
I always find it funny that "Mama" describes Valencourt as an "Evil Witch" that "put a spell" over Bobby, mainly because her first MAJOR film was The Craft where she played a deranged witch that was inflicting chaos all over the town.
I just put those two together while watching this reaction.
First thing I saw her in was Return To Oz.
For the short role she had it really enjoyed how deranged her character was in American history x
Hands down Adam's BEST movie 😂😂😂😂
If you didn’t know they had Lawrence Taylor telling them don’t smoke crack because that’s literally what he did when he played in the NFL 😂
Wedding Singer is fantastic. You would love it.
Little Nicky!! It’s so bad that it’s great lol

Its hard to believe that Mr. Coach Kline was the Fonz.
Vicky will turn any guy into an "I can fix her" man

The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, and 50 First Dates are my favorite Adam Sandler movies by far.
"They ever catch that gorllia what escaped from the zoo and punched you in the eye?"
"N-no, mama. The search continues." 😂
LT is Lawrence Taylor, the greatest linebacker of all time. And football n player period IMO. He said don't smoke crack because he smoked an ounce of crack every single day his rookie year in the NFL.

Henry Winkler was so good in this. Love seeing him in more intentionally comedic rolls.
"Click" is another excellent movie with both Adam Sandler and Henry Winkler that would make for a great reaction.
Me and my friends always thought the same where Bobby Boucher is walking back and forth on the defensive line and fighting with his personal demons and just screaming "stop it!".. if I'm on the offensive line I am not happy about where I'm aimed at. I'm terrified. 🤣

Also in blended
Uncut Gems, Punch-drunk Love -- oh man, these two are great, but SO different from his regulars comedies
Don't forget The Meyerowitz Stories and Reign Over Me.
Has anyone mentioned 'Mr Deeds (2002)'? I remember that being another great one of Sandlers.
The butler is a scene stealer. Sneaky sneaky
Kathy Bates should have gotten an Academy Award for this movie!
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry is hilarious! I definitely recommend that one as well as Mr. Deeds and Just Go With It.
Don't mess with the Zohan
Out of this, Happy Gilmore, and The Wedding Singer, The Wedding Singer is my favourite. Its an absolute classic and you cannot miss it.
The Wedding Singer is my favorite. Great comedy and set in the 1980s.
I'm not seeing anyone recommend The Longest Yard but I loved that movie as a kid! Thanks for the react, this was hilarious!
Me and my mom quote this movie all the time since we used to watch it together... So it will always hold a special place in my heart
Same! 💜
Same!

Grandma's Boy is another good one, Sandler isn't in it but all his buddies are.

This and Joe dirt are my two most quoted movies
YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT AAALLL NIIIGHT LOOOOOOOONG!
Kathy bates said this was the one film that she had the most fun doing. She was hilarious in this
I saw The Waterboy twice in the theaters. I was a senior in high school, and it was all the rage back then.
Wedding singer is his best for me
Me and my husband just watched this a few days ago lol I had this on VHS and can quote this whole movie. My mom and me still quote it to this day 😂
That is rob Schneider's line in almost at least 5 episodes of Adam Sandler movies you can do it!
You'll want to watch Billy Madison, Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, 50 First Dates, Click, for more of his best comedies and I personally like Little Nicky so I'd say that, and also Punch Drunk Love for his first major dramatic role to get something different. Big daddy is a must watch
Hes really got a lot of good ones if you can enjoy them for what they are
Mr. Deeds, and Billy Madison, Wedding Singer are also worth a watch, Uncut Jems is Adam in a serious role and he nails it.
50 first dates is one of the best rom coms of the century also the wedding singer which both star Drew Barrymore
"This team's got a lot more to worry about than water". Hahahahaha
Big daddy, wedding singer, 50 first dates, click, longest yard, grown ups! You 💯 got more to enjoy! I miss these sandler days! Not the same now
wish movies were made like this still. I miss the those days of movies.
Believe it or not but Katy Bates at first wasn't going to take the part then changed her mind. I love her in Bad Santa 2, Misery and Fried Green Tomatoes

The Wedding Singer was great, uncut gems is a great drama, 50 first dates is a good rom-com.

Kathy Bates want on to be cast as Amy's Mom in the Big Bang Theory
My theory why the Colonel gets his ass kicked all the time, they had negotioations about product placement with KFC and that went downhill somehow.
Mr Deeds, Billy Madison, 50 First Dates
Him and Jim Carrey rocked the 90s.
My FAVORITE reaction to this movie yet!
Regarding the people who say Adam Sandler's career goes "downhill" after this era of movies;

Great reaction! You will enjoy The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.
50 first dates is his other good one😄👍
Little Nicky is also very funny.
Definitely The Wedding Singer, it's a must see. A similar movie would be There's Something About Mary.
Out of hid earlier movies you haven't seen, I'm partial to The Wedding Singer & Big Daddy
I am fairly sure the phrase "Open a can of Whoopass" actually originated from this movie.
THE LONGEST YARD. You’re welcome!!
I use to be able to quote each letter in bobby's voice lol.
You will love Billy Madison. It's a great 90's cheese comedy!
Little nicky fuckin hilarious too
Little nicky is a great Sandler film
The longest yard is another good one
1999 Big Daddy is another good one.
Big Daddy is really good and The Wedding Singer along with 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore. All 3 have tha Adam Sandler charm
Farmer Fran is my favorite character on this! 😄
Another good Adam Sandler movie is Big Daddy it also stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse
If you havnt seen beer fest please do. I love seeing your reaction to these oldie goodies. Thanks for doing you.
Ultimate 90s Fairuza Balk villain role. The Craft. Maybe her best role imo.
She started out as Dorothy Gale in Return To Oz (1985).
Big Daddy, Billy Madison, and Anger Management have to be seen too. I like Click too but can be on the more emotional side but a lot of good laughs
Fairuza Balk (Vickie) was the major reason I started liking goth girls when The Craft came out
EEEYYYyyyyyYYY!!!!!!! He's got sponsors!!! 😆 congrats my man. Also I knew before even going in that this movie was MADE for you ahaha
Tbh people used to make fun just like this movie to others back then 😂
Although this is one of his best i would still say the majority of sandler films are worth watching. I even enjoy some of his newer comedies like grown ups 1+2, blended and just go with it
His basketball movie HUSTLE is GREAT!! Full of NBA players too.
In 2023 Momma will be right. 😂
Now Little Nicky and Mr. Deeds is needed to be added to the channel.
I do not accept that this movie came out 25 years ago. It came out 5 years ago. I stand by my belief. Dang it.
That's ron Howard's brother that was trying to feel up Vicki valencourt
I pressed like at the start of your video. I already know I'll enjoy the movie and your reaction bro.
I love the movie Just Go with it with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston
Underrated movie.
Billy Madison is another favorite for me, Click is still funny but had more meaning to it..
My Adam Sandler trifecta would be Little Nicky, Happy Gilmore and this one. Little Nicky should not be missed IMO.
Have you seen Tommy Boy yet?
This is a good Adam Sandler movie but it’s probably the one I revisit the least often because it really gets to me how mean everyone is to Bobby. I know it’s just a movie but it still makes me feel so bad for him. But I’d say Sandler’s two most iconic movies are Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison

_captain insano shows no mercy_
If you like Fairuza Balk, you might like her major role in "The Craft."
I do think The Longest Yard remake was actually really good. If you want another Sandler football movie
12:58 professor had some southern class tackled in to him 😂 Also being from Iowa it was always weird to see the Hawkeyes play Bobby Boucher. Are any of the other teams real in this movie?
it's a classic... friggen hilarious
Fairuza Balk, Vikki. Was great in the Craft. Highly recommend.
The Wedding Singer might be his best. Close between that and Happy Gilmore.
I don't see anybody talking about Little Nicky. You gotta consider that one bro. Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, 50 First Dates are notables for sure.
90s movies have ska in their soundtracks which is weird. Goldfinger ending it at the credits
