    I replaced my ignition switch and fixed the HUD. Took me about 8 hrs. Thanks for the video :)

    What you guys didn't see was the fact that I forgot to put two bolts back in to hold the HUD to the dash until I had almost all of it back together 🤦‍♂️

    Nice video, will this be the same on a 2005? I see the HUD lit up but not moving, so I'm guessing same issue.

      The C6 was remarkably similar to the C5 in most respects with minor tweaks. I would imagine the process is incredibly similar but I have not tried this on a C6 myself.

      Thank you for the reply. Did leaving the steering wheel in place cause any issues with the dash removal?

      None at all!

      Awesome. Thank you. Seen videos of replacing the hud with only removing the instrument cluster, but I’d rather not cut my ductwork lol. Thanks again for the awesome video!

      I don't believe so, I think the windshield may have to come out for that

    My toyota highlander hud has a plastic cracked you think if i remove that , the image will go away ? or its just the protective covering?

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  9 місяців тому

      If it works the same way as the Corvette, it's just a protective covering. That said, exposing the internal mechanisms to dust and corrosion may drastically shorten its life. Finding a replacement cover would be the best move
