I am a writer and crazy busy, so I can only offer two things. One-- photos of my own apartment as a starting point... and Two-- style ideas which I have created in my mind, all named, & accompanied with lists of decorative objects & furnishings gathered to achieve the look. So dark academia is about antiques and antique replicas. It’s kind of like studying the ancient classics from Greek philosophy back in the 1920s. I think that the university in the movie from that Phillip Pullman book, what was it called? Amber spyglass something like that, I think it had a polar bear in it, well that was a very devious and dangerous University where they were poisoning people in the brandy and there was heaps of magic afoot and wired relics like compasses or those machines like clocks, what do you call them. I don’t know.

is or isn't? I love an accent wall, so a dark green or navy is my favorite, some people opt for a light wallpaper with a pattern! It depends if you want darker, then keep natural woods and warm browns! But I loved my green accent wall before I moved!
