I’m 18 now and have been a patient of his since i was a child. He’s one of the nicest doctors you’ll ever meet if you get the chance to. Had a conversation with him about his watches before and it was really special to me as it had sparked my interest for watches as well. A true inspiration and a genuinely humble and kind man.

:-o azmadayou his wife was “financial controller” of a health system/group. I’m sure together they do just fine being also in one of the world’s most expensive real estate markets. Watch collecting, like any hobby has its price points, but thai guy seems actually genuine without Ben Clymer’s seal of approval with a Leica camera in hand.

For those curious .. don't buy fakes to wear.
Collecting fakes (before 2017) was challenging but NOT encouraged today on. Do not WEAR them...many reasons.
Many guests will recall all my car keys had a luxury watch fake which would be fun at the valets...especially during the watch events in the early 2006.
These were VERY good fakes which were never stolen! Singapore is honest.
The collecting of superlative fakes of RM may be the most challenging task I ever tried back in 2015 to 2018.... it helped to STOP it. I would not encourage any one to try, it is expensive, because you will need contacts and travel....which would cost time, (they were VERY rare, and often custom made one at a time by very good youths in many most surprising places!!!).
Those from 2004 to 2008 forums would know my expenses for much work done, books, tech, designs, markets, was zero. No cost. All money went right back to growing more watchmakers...not to me.
To the curious remarks, I am happy, very happy indeed, because this fake RM 35 did great damage to the good brand. Thank you for noticing...these are among 30 to 50 VERY fine fakes (for that era) collected during a time I worked within the watch industry (before the web forums) as a collector... it began with finding only Rolex, FM and PAM. I would search the whole planet, travel to Russia, Germany, plus some European cities and China for weeks at a stretch to find the source and the really good ones.
I treasure the superb fakes of RM and PAM the most....this one was the earliest good fake to appear...followed by rapid superlative fakes of many solid backed brands...they were VERY rare, and often custom made one at a time by very good youths in many surprising places!!! SUPERB.
I wear inexpensive and the very rare to priceless watches, together (less socially awkward).
Psychological labels are UNAVOIDABLE for any passion, from cars to huge homes...worse, for those who had no success with money (most times), and it is not their fault. Life happens.
Life happened to me, and I did what I wanted with it... ie to grow its rewards, enjoy it, learning to return it to BOTH the less fortunate (and the powerful companies) within my circle of influence.

Bernard Cheong each watch piece has its piece of history and the intricate details behind it. I cannot imagine the content u can come out with. You will reach such a far greater audience instead of ted and unite watch lovers around the world in an instant!

      @@TheBebemom thnk you sincerely.
I do have 3 regular columns in print, no in the cloud yet, The East Coast of the States, Britain and China. Two spread between Japan and Indonesia. With the new business and retail models approaching with 5G, Block Chain and more important...post Covid -19.
I have much work at the new restructure of the Watch Retail and buying patterns lined up for at least 5 to 8 years....but the direction will be very fluid. All I know is that I am about to live my Fifth or Sixth life.
I want it to be different from my first 3....enough sucess, wealth, money, selfishness... it is genorosity time!!!
If you are a millinial, and have not been at the birth of the internet and the watch collecting hobby/craze in 1998... This is a narrower path I have accidentally left behind.
Choose it for Wei, SJX and the late comers like Hodinkee etc etc...so many. However, if it is fortune they want.... I have left some for them. Like I said...generous.

That's what extremely marked-up doctor fees get you in Singapore. The dead man whose watch you bought will haunt you to ask for the discount you never gave.

Not sure on that, but am pretty sure if you wear a fake watch driving a big car people will assume its the real deal, while a real watch riding on train will be see as a fake.

The carbon grain is pretty obvious that it's a fake. And it's a pretty low grade one.

Oh they really did but now they co-exist as more luxurious watches than quartz which are often cheap fashion watches or just tools like casio but quartz also gave birth to some interesting mouvement like the seiko spring drive
