  • Mushroom Truffle Risotto is my recipe for Page Pardo’s Patreon Appreciation video which happens to also be my Valentine’s Day Finale. Patreon producer of mine who donate to my highest tier gets their own video dedicated to them. Today, for our final Valentine's day
recipe, we are using some beautiful truffles that Page sent me for her video, and I'm teaching you the basics of how to make a proper risotto, I'm also gonna use the truffles to show you how to make it special. I'll also be showing you how to roast mushrooms as well as how to make truffle butter. Happy Valentine's Day, lovers. And get out Page Pardo's Adopt a Truffle Tree program below! (This is not sponsored whatsoever, Just helping out a friend, I make no money from this plug.)

Price for your Not Another Cooking Show Viewers: $225 ($70 discount! It has been a good truffle year, so that discount is a really amazing deal!) with code: NOTANOTHERCOOKINGSHOW
    Where Can You Buy?:
www.lluxuryandllamas.com (2 L's in LLUXURY & in LLAMAS) It's my farm website...I have llamas and do Luxury Llama Treks, too.
    Truffle Tree Adoption Benefits:
-You're a truffle farmer for the year! (With no work required.)
-2 packages of truffle stuff: one fresh truffle now, and a package of truffle products in the fall
-Your name next to your truffle tree here at the farm for the year
-A welcome package including a "key" to the Truffiere (Truffle Orchard)
-Monthly emails from me with updates on your tree and photos
-The option to visit your tree and even picnic by it, if you make it to St. Louis, Missouri
-Entry into this exclusive and crazy world of Truffle Farmers - It is, no joke, full of mystery, crime, deliciousness, and one of the most expensive foods on earth. I share details in my monthly emails.

-230 acres with a lake, and island with dining table to eat on the water, trails...lots of stuff
-Animals of all kinds to meet...including llamas, of course!

If you have a truffle grater like in the video, use it to get really thin parmigiano slices ontop of pasta. With this thing you get them to melt a bit when they come in contact with hot pasta and in your mouth, superior way to top pasta with parmesian compared to just grated normally if you have a grater that can get thin enough.

I went to restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London a while ago with my girlfriend, who is a vegetarian. Her veggie option was a cep and truffle risotto. I only had a forkful but it is still, to this day, the single most delicious thing I've ever tasted.

If someone sends you truffles, they are forever in your heart. That is the coolest, most thoughtful thing you can give a chef. I would die. Mostly because I don't have to pay for the truffles, which can seriously mess with your food cost.

Awwww I love this so much! It looks incredibly, amazingly delicious. As always. But you've taken it over the top. I always love all the thoughtfulness in your recipes and videos...and this one really takes the cake. Truly proud to be a Patreon producer. I believe in what you stand for, and just love watching, on top of it. I can't believe it is also your 1 year anniversary show...oh, you most certainly did need truffles for it. That is major! I can only imagine how much work went into this year. Thank you for featuring truffle, and thank you for the shout out. Means a lot. I am definitely making this dish on Valentine's Day, and I'm not sharing with the llamas. And so many congrats on 1 year and on ABC!

Steve, I spotted your recipe exactly one year after the upload. I wanted to make something awesome for my girlfriend this Valentines, because whenever we go out to eat we’re always disappointed by the food... side note; how is it possible for trained chefs to dish up poor meals and charge for it?
Anyway, I love cooking and have been trying to get the perfect risotto for years. I managed to get all the ingredients except the elusive truffle. Instead, I got truffle and porcini infused oil.
I successfully delivered my first ‘restaurant-quality’ meal that I’ve been working towards, and your channel has played a huge part in this.
I followed up with homemade Neapolitan style pizza topped with caramelised onions, goats cheese and rocket with a balsamic glaze (because, you know, just can’t get enough of the stuff!).
Thank you Steve. You have become my go to resource for learning and inspiration. This is what learning in 2020 should look like.
    All the best!

Thank you Stephen! I did not have arborio at home, only a black rice called "forbidden" rice, and shiitake mushrooms; however, followed all the steps, and added parsley at the end instead of the salad, and it was awesome!!! I'll definitely try the full recipe some other time

That is an awesome mushroomy scenario. I have a thing I do in risotto making, and I'm wondering what you think. Since the risotto should be served right away, and since it can be inconvenient to stand over a risotto pot for 25 minutes leading right up to dinner, I do this thing where I start the risotto a little earlier, and then when it's about half way done, I turn it off, put on a lid and let it lie. Then, when the time comes, I start it up again and take it to the finish. It always comes out perfect.
