    Please remember:
Memorial Day was started by former slaves on May, 1, 1865 in Charleston, SC to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers who had been buried in a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp. They dug up the bodies and worked for 2 weeks to give them a proper burial as gratitude for fighting for their freedom. They then held a parade of 10,000 people led by 2,800 Black children where they marched, sang and celebrated. We honor and salute those who fought and died in the struggle to liberate their people from slavery.

Really nothing to be happy about. It is a solemn day of remembrance for those who died in Active Duty Service to our country. People have turned it into picnics, BBQs and other fun things. Most people don't even know what Memorial Day is anymore and they use it to thank Veterans and Active Duty Military for their service. No self respecting Veteran or Active Duty Military person wants to steal the honor or valor due to those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Wow, why do we refused to tell the truth. Black soldier started declarations day which became Memorial Day. That why the confederate soldier did not want to participate. This is why black Americans continue to be oppressed and discriminated against. Just tell the country true history and all Americans will has to respect ADOS/black Americans, because their is no group more America that has contributed more and got the less.

Just to back up that they don’t go through “way more” if someone was discussing how native Americans were done wrong and mistreated , no bird brain would come commenting comparing who had what worse ! Hard Times make strong men, Strong men make good times, Good times make weak men, Weak men make hard times. Maybe the next generation will have it better, probably not because hard times usually happen right along major wars and civil unrest.

I am grateful that the american flag flew on memorial day over a land very vividly and intensely free and alive, free and desperate to gain more grounding in the true united states fruits of equality, nondiscrimination based on gender and race, or religion. The fruits of freedom, government noninterference in the life choices of noncriminal americans who are not pressured to take a path prescribed by government but all encouraged to walk as their individual hearts guide them through life.
I know that at times keeping the great paradise vision of america alive at every moment took great hearts outpouring and striving sometimes with the greatest sacrifice that of their individual lives for the promise of american future. That kind of heart is not ever to be taken lightly or ignored, it is because of those severe gifts that we even exist in a land that has continued to be free and continued to be a place where all types can come in equality and receive without discrimination from clean american streams, and clean native american inspired american towns that do no damage to mother nature. The american way is not ever truly against any people of the world but it is against high levels of facism that oppress people and suppress american fullness even in the united states. It is wisdom and greatly good that america stands by its ingrained practice of preventing power from going to facism in the world and uniting cultures in the refined modes of the heart, out of conflicts.
I am grateful for the attention and consciousness america will give to its inner affairs as a country in the coming months to the deprioritized exclusion of international matters. We have to be preserving honest conditions and mindfulness around President Biden.
It is helpful that wise americans will display wisdom publically.
I thank my parents for raising me in this great land and I thank all those patriots here every day who protect its message and beauty and who keep the flag sanctified and clean. Let us remain known as a wise nation, let us keep our third eye open and avoid conflict and pollution.

Y’all are being very hateful concerning this holiday. No matter who originally found it, they’re/we’re recognizing young men, and all 60,000 + soldiers who died during the event and so on. Be grateful for them and the fact we have off of whatever we do for the most part.

I am aware it started in 1862 by slaves, which should be portrayed here as well. Other than that, the day itself is just a day to recognize the dead. Please, stay kind out here, and be glad it’s not you.

Not just men died fighting for this country. And it really makes me angry that their sacrifices are always and afterthought. Women have sadly fought beside their men since the frist man picked up a rock and threw it at another tribes. Give them their glory too.
