    That last egg story, I would have gone back and gave a huge sum of money to the guy who sold it to me. To me, that much money is "found money" and needs to be shared somehow. I've always told the people at the corner store, If I win, I'll share with them. If I win really big, I'm gonna set up scholarships in inner cities for trade schools. I will not pay for a four year college. I'd rather pay for someone to learn a skill that will feed them right away, when they get out of school. I'd only ask that they help out one person the same way.

    There’s a story of a family cleaning out an old barn and finding 7 old Ty Cobb cards in a paper bag. It’s called the “lucky 7 find” and they sold the cards for around $3 million.

    I had my own little find during Covid. I used to collect basketball cards from 1995 to 2010 before life took over and hobbies took a back seat. So i packed them away and they sat there for about 13 years untouched until covid and i got bored and started watching the NBA again and decided to start buying some cards of EBAY. So i dug out the boxes of cards and i still had all my good one's separated like Kobe, Jordan, LeBron etc... but flash forward 13 years and people like Steph Curry and Kevin Durrant had become super popular and i went back through all my "lesser" value cards from pack openings at the time and found a combined 25 to 30 Steph Curry and Kevin Durant rookie cards still in pack fresh condition just sitting there.... Not millions, but around 10k to 20k worth as is, but i will get them all PSA graded one day and who knows 😁

    While putting an addition on his garage in the 80s my father found a "Looney Tunes" comic from the 40s in the insulation in somehow excellent condition apart from very mild yellowing and gave it to me. Surpassingly, it's virtually worthless from what I've seen online, but because the artwork is so good, and it has that history it's of value to me. ☺

    Twice in 15 years, a buddy has come across good sums of cash in abandoned storage units he purchased at auction. All told, it would have been enough to buy a nice, new 4x4 pickup in today's money. Why people store cash in their storage units is puzzling to me though.

      I don't understand your comment. "not how it works." I got $50 free from the prior customer who didn't fully complete their transaction. I paid for my stuff in cash, so there is no record of me taking the $50. So how does it work? I imagined the free $50?

    • @barelyed1ble
      @barelyed1ble Рік тому

      @@jettslappy7028 couple reasons.
      a. you have to keep your card inserted throughout the transaction to pull money, so the other person would've had to leave their card in the machine. when you get cash back it is added onto the overall payment, its not done in two transactions and definitely won't work without the actual card. lets say they didnt use a card with a chip to pay (which has to remain inserted throughout the whole transaction) and instead paid with something like a virtual wallet or even went old school swiping the card, you still have to pay after you select how much cash back you want - not before. like did you pay for their groceries? lol
      b. even then, if you start taking things out of the bagging area before finishing the transaction (like youre suggesting the other customer did), the self checkout wont let you pay or make any transaction until the items have been put back into the bagging area. every single one has a scale in the bagging area and the computer knows how much weight should be in the bagging area throughout the whole entire process
      literally every single self checkout is designed and hardwired like this lmfao youre so obviously making up a story about how youre an asshole and stole from someone, which almost makes you more of an asshole than if your bullshit was true. this is some shit a 12 year old pathological liar comes up with when theyre trying to sound tough
