Have the same jeep same color same smoked turn signals lol. Woke up this morning to the exact same problem. Currently draining the coolant now I have a duralast radiator waiting to go in. Thanks for the vid it helped a lot
Great instructional video. Very detailed and step by step processes described very well. Thank you for posting this video. You also have a great garage!
0:19 noticed here at 19 seconds on the front of that radiator where the prop rod makes contact there’s a wear mark on it, mine has that as well and I’m wondering if the new one you put in ended with the same wear on it ? I’m about to put a new one in and not sure if I should figure out why that’s happening first
Sorry I let you down, that really hurts.... the tension ones broke upon disassembly and those were all the local parts store had on hand... I must say 2 years later no leaks.
Hey Rob, I had a question about the coolant you were putting inside of the radiator, did you mix that with the distilled water then put it in? also how much do I put in the radiator and how much do I put in the recovery tank?
Rock auto all the parts you car will ever need except my 06 wrangler never have anything I need and local parts store are the same price if not cheaper and they stock all the parts except brake lines and transmission lines have to fab or order from no name vendors lol
I replaced my radiator Thursday. After starting, the coolant began coming back out of the radiator. I out of the cap back on. Hoses got EXTREMELY hot. The top of the new radiator began to bubble along its seam the fan to pump adapter had steam coming from around it. The bottom of the pump began pouring water out of it after I shut the motor down. 🤦🤦🤦🤷🤷😭😭. Bought a new pump. Installing that and a new t'stat now. While the fan and shroud is out, i probably should get a new radiator with the warranty.
Lol I love how you debunk that premixed coolant racket wish more pple cld use math and common sense. Mix myself for $21 for 2 gallons or $36 for premixed lol

Seriously one of the best UA-cam instructional video I have watched. Thank you.

You didn't purge it. Why?

How different is a 2003 and a 2004
Didn’t do a water pump while you had the radiator out?
Nice. Appreciate the video=explanation
Appreciate you explaining everything really well. Awesome useful video.
Thanks Matt. It is a basic repair but I think the video prepares people for what they are in for....
You had me unti you used the weak style of hose clamps over the original tension ones

Yes. 50/50. There is a full level mark.
Sorry sir but I need same radiator and can’t locate it on rock auto
Do you have a link.

Didn't have to "burp" the air out?
I originally let it come to temperature without the cap on .... perhaps that's why. Also it may self purge thru the overflow tank during a few cycles?
