his character reminds me alot of the guy who put Steve Buscemi in the woodchipper and Javier Bardem from NCFOM alot. And kinda the mysterious fbi guy in O Brother Where Art Thou in a way. must be a Coen bros thinf
He was erroneously nominated as a lead actor at the Emmys because “Outstanding Supporting Actor” only had 7 nominees (5 of whom were from The Normal Heart) and “Outstanding Supporting Actor” needed a 6th. It’s the same reason February gets the “bonus day” every 4 years.
Haha, you know the feeling when you finish some good show like this one, makes you rewatch it but it sucks cause you are aware of everything that's gonna happen, wish i can wipe it somehow and to enjoy it everytime lol, because this is one piece of an art!
billy bob is a top notch actor, I don't think I could ever look him in the eyes, the dude is scary. I see awards being won for fargo. that show was fucking EPIC.
IMO Thornton is one of the most underrated and underutilized assets in Hollywood today. However, I am glad for it. He wouldn't be quite the special treasure he is if he was cast in everything, like Hanks or Cruise.
I'm gonna lay it out there, so far, this series has been as interesting as Breaking Bad in terms of my immersion level(and that is not said lightly!). Not 1 min I am bored during this show. Dark brutal show, amazing actors, I hope they win something for this great work.
Victor Borof no it is overrated. the wire is far better and didn't get that much popular. and i know a couple more series that are better and for me personally much more entertaing
Lol totesss!! Wait ur joking right? Like it’s fun to entertain the idea and such but ummm... mysterious characters stop being mysterious & become shallow sellout mindsetted characters once they rack in fanatics who think like this....
***** They said it's unlikely due to the true story factor. It's like saying 'Hey wasn't what happened in 2006-07 crazy? Guess what happened next!!', they said it wouldn't be believable
Such a talent, this is some of his best work in years, what other actor can take a character on a TV show and make it feel like you know that character but at the same time you don't and it feels a much deeper connection to the character than any other TV series will produce, it's almost like a connection to a character in a major motion picture, and yes he is that talented, it simply astounds me how electrifying his performances are in the show, tension for weeks
i never liked him until Fargo, I think he was waiting for an opportunity like this. His voic, tone, persona even watching this interview was strangely still Malvo-esque. Now I can honestly say he's made a fan out of me because just his reaction shots are gold and his manipulative ability is unlike any I've seen on tv or otherwise. Hope he gets more suitable roles like this in the future.
Oh man, BBT is great! It's a shame that he won't be coming back as Malvo, his character was spectacular and he made the show, even in this interview I feel like he's gonna start some chaos for no reason.
He really is a great actor, Ive noticed with these small runs of a series they are able to bring in actors that normally would not do a TV show. I also find that these 10 episode series have much better acting in them than many movies or full run TV shows. . I suppose because the actor can get immersed in a character and enjoy it before they become bored with it.
I would like to send Lorne Malvo after Hannibal Lecter and tell Hannibal Lecter that Lorne is coming for him. Lets see who wins that except its probably going to be Hannibal :p
One helluva lot of whoopin' and hollerin' in our house last night when Billy Bob won The Critics Choice TV award for best actor in a miniseries. So deserving.
Really liked the Fargo movie and TV series. Billy Bob is right, TV is where the great independent films are happening now. He should do a TV series on Slingblade.
still in his malvo mode i see
he is like that ^^
Thats just him.
@@regan.8077 yes, its him no doubt
😂😂😂
Best hitman in any movie or show I've ever seen.. He was fucking awesome
+Daniel S Javier Bardem in NCFOM takes it by an inch
+Bruno Aziz Darth Vader? really?
+Hot Pie No way. Darth vader was way to cheesy. great carachter but in terms of psychotic killer he was nowhere near even Bateman from psycho.
his character reminds me alot of the guy who put Steve Buscemi in the woodchipper and Javier Bardem from NCFOM alot. And kinda the mysterious fbi guy in O Brother Where Art Thou in a way. must be a Coen bros thinf
+Bruno Aziz was that reference Satan meant ironically? I mean lots of folks think he actually IS Satan in the series
Billy Bob Thornton to cameraman; "Have you been a bad boy?"
haha true. What the hells he doing?
lol
damn he wasn't acting as much as i thought. hahah he's half lorne malvo
Daddy Dana the other half being a psychotic murderer.
"Do I look like I want a pink police scanner?"
"I only want one walkie talkie"
Is that the gift girls are getting wet for these days?
Loved the documentary about wolves that the guy screened in his van, that's some dense writing.
Its funny because in all of his movies he's a different person, but in Fargo, he just acts so much like himself.
Extra scary.
i am about to watch Goliath. Does he act a bit like his Lorne Melvo role?
@Deal neGrasse Bison yeah, i loved his character! I am done with season 3. I liked Billy Mc Bride more than Malvo anyways :)) great actor
Such a cool strange man. Hard to believe he's 60 also. Fantastic actor.
he was in blood in blood out
Lightning. "Little white Mexican boy found his way home"
He's a scrawny old man with a dyed beard and a bad rug on.
It will be a crime against humanity if he doesn't get nominated for Lorne Malvo. Thornton does an amazing job.
He was freaking scary
A must win
He’s the reason the 1st season is my favourite closely followed by season 2
He was erroneously nominated as a lead actor at the Emmys because “Outstanding Supporting Actor” only had 7 nominees (5 of whom were from The Normal Heart) and “Outstanding Supporting Actor” needed a 6th. It’s the same reason February gets the “bonus day” every 4 years.
2:29 "We live in a society" HE SAID THE THING
"Is this what you want?"
Haha, you know the feeling when you finish some good show like this one, makes you rewatch it but it sucks cause you are aware of everything that's gonna happen, wish i can wipe it somehow and to enjoy it everytime lol, because this is one piece of an art!
+Goran Pavlović yh man real talk I know exactly where your coming fron
+Goran Pavlović yh man real talk I know exactly where your coming fron
+Goran Pavlović Fargo season 2 came out though
That's on you.
he is definitely still in character
i'm not convinced billy bob thornton ever acts. he doesn't care about accents and aesthetics he is the character.
Slingblade did exactly that, as well as Fargo to a degree. The trick is to not rely on them.
It looks more like Lorne Malvo impersonating Thornton
for a moment i tought he was going to kill her
Is this called a "Raw Video" because the cameraman can't hold the goddamn camera still?
The camera man thinks he's the good with the shitty Dutch angle and random zoom in/zoom outs too.
I, for one, am excited that Michael J Fox is trying to become a camera man.

Best actor in the serial.
Lol
***** He's superserial!
***** Not every person on the internet is from an English speaking country.
Александр Вознесенский Best in the cornflakes
He makes the show so far really. Every scene he is in is golden.
billy bob is a top notch actor, I don't think I could ever look him in the eyes, the dude is scary. I see awards being won for fargo. that show was fucking EPIC.
He's not scary at all in person. One of the friendliest and kindest people I've ever met
Such an honour to have this legend play such an awesome character. Fargo is awesome because of him.
He's kinda like Lorne Malvo haha i expect him to say "Aces" anytime.
I love how close he is to Being Anton from No country for old man.
He's so chill it kind a creeps me out and relaxes me at the same time.
IMO Thornton is one of the most underrated and underutilized assets in Hollywood today. However, I am glad for it. He wouldn't be quite the special treasure he is if he was cast in everything, like Hanks or Cruise.

breaking bad is way too overrated, and unlike it, this show hasn't bored me at all
TheRahatluk Breaking Bad deserves every praise it got to this day. Nothing else can even compare to it but I agree Fargo got very close.
Victor Borof no it is overrated. the wire is far better and didn't get that much popular. and i know a couple more series that are better and for me personally much more entertaing
TheRahatluk So, you think that if you don't like something that most do, your opinion should hold more weight?
The ending was shit tbh
Dude that voice and smile are so damn scary
mainly the smile
There should definitely be a spin-off season just about Malvo.
And it calls "Malvo in the Middle"?
no
Lol totesss!! Wait ur joking right? Like it’s fun to entertain the idea and such but ummm... mysterious characters stop being mysterious & become shallow sellout mindsetted characters once they rack in fanatics who think like this....
Malvo, North Dakota
Think the two hit man from Fargo are the ones who deserve a spin off season maybe from a time before they go after Malvo
Aces
☞( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞ Aces!
Wow Malvo does a great billy bob thorton impression.
I hope he's not leaving after 10 episodes, he not only makes the show I don't think I can live without his awesomeness in this show! LOL
its a mini series there wont be more than ten episodes.
Billy Bob may return. He just won't play Lorne, assuming I'm correct that FX Fargo is an anthology show.
***** Yeah I just read that today. I'm very upset. BBT made this show. I may not watch it next season.
***** They said it's unlikely due to the true story factor. It's like saying 'Hey wasn't what happened in 2006-07 crazy? Guess what happened next!!', they said it wouldn't be believable
*****
The first season had Lorne Malvo go into a building and killing TONS of guys and escaping unnoticed, the true story part died a long time ago.
Great actor
The interviewer was awesome, Bob you saved my life, thank you.
Billy Bob nailed this part. One of the scariest characters on tv in recent memory. Outside of Sling Blade, it's his best performance.
Love billy bob. Love all the characters he’s played ❤️
i never liked him until Fargo, I think he was waiting for an opportunity like this. His voic, tone, persona even watching this interview was strangely still Malvo-esque. Now I can honestly say he's made a fan out of me because just his reaction shots are gold and his manipulative ability is unlike any I've seen on tv or otherwise. Do I like Fargo? You betcha!
*imagines that in Lester Nygaard's voice*
I would have loved to see him in multiple seasons. But what he was in he did amazing!
indeed it does feel like a 10 hour movie, every episode is a masterpiece
He's just like he's in the series- xD
He was so good it was almost impossible to believe. Filming is so long, broken up and tiring that to maintain that level of performance was superb.
man he owned this role. billy bob is the man, so soft spoken and wonderful
Lorne malvo was the most disturbing / maniacal character I can remember .. He was a ruthless chameleon .. I loved the series !
"Lorne Malvo is the kinda guy who means what he says"
Flashback to "if someone had done that to me I would have killed that man"
The performance of a lifetime from Billy Bob Thornton, he was incredible as Lorne Malvo
Oh man, BBT is great! It's a shame that he won't be coming back as Malvo, his character was spectacular and he made the show, even in this interview I feel like he's gonna start some chaos for no reason.

I can't get over that accent of his. I just love it.
He was amazing, my favorite character and the show was full of great characters.
I live in Fargo
i am definitely into Thornton...Serious,humorous and charming
He did a fantastic job I wish he's still in Fargo
Justin Cassiani
He did narrate one episode in season 3
Since I live where Fargo was filmed, I remember seeing a bunch of tents set up by Lester Nygaards house
He & Martin Freeman makes the show Pure awesome! What a Villian!
His Lorne Malvo is like fucking Anton Chigurh of TV shows! Simply incredible character and acting
amazing actor & amazing series.
omg hes 58??? he looks so young in the show
Vegan diet mah man. Jared Leto's on it, too, and he looks like he's about 25.
Frederick0220 Yeah that and the hairpiece, the dyed beard and the capped teeth
Interviewer : “No spoilers?”
Thornton : “Is this what you want? Yes or No?”
Really happy to watch this interview, also it's great to be invited to Jen's 30th Birthday Bash
i fucking love how he does malvo
Once again Thonrton is brilliant and intense (scary without overplaying) in this Fargo season 1.
I would like to send Lorne Malvo after Hannibal Lecter and tell Hannibal Lecter that Lorne is coming for him. Lets see who wins that except its probably going to be Hannibal :p
I love both these shows.
I want Anton Chigurh and Lorn Malvo to be sent after Hannibal Lecter or Heisenberg and all three end up in a mexican standoff.
***** Malvo vs. Heisenberg - gotta go for it!
***** Malvo vs. Mike
+Daniel S Yup Mike was always the most capable threat that Heisenberg had to worm his way around.
i forgot oliver platt was in this. i shotgunned it so fast. one of the best single seasons of all time. not enough people watched it.
He was born awesome!
I came here because I'm watching season 4 atm. I really miss him in Fargo. Still by far the best season of the show.
2:30 "We live in a society..." -Lorne Malvo
Just watched first episode today, one of the best series ever Im going to watch
That year was awesome BB, true detective 1 , fargo👌
Two hombres took a run at me in Duluth.
Mexicans?
That's the wrong part of the sentence to be focusing on.
"Do I sound like your mom?"
Brilliant actor and outstanding series
just watched the final episode here in the uk..awesome!
Good interview
Great one season show. Probably as good as True Detective.
i wouldn't say its as good as true detective ..but a close second maybe
Dan J It was better imho.
bhbluebird There's a second season coming.
***** For both :D Both such good shows. Though the new Fargo has Bruce Campbell in it... jus' sayin' ;)
Well True Detective season 2 was pathetic so I guess Fargo>>>True Detective
He's amazing.
Very impressed with this man.
I enjoy his acting. He also is a musician. I got to see his band play on cape cod July 2021. The band aren't as well known on east coast.
This character is amazing
Lorne Malvo was straight savage ! Great performance Mr. Thornton
She is so brave to interview him
This charaker is marvelous - this should be movie
One helluva lot of whoopin' and hollerin' in our house last night when Billy Bob won The Critics Choice TV award for best actor in a miniseries. So deserving.
Underrated great actor
Also.. He looks like Abraham Lincoln. Just gonna throw that out there.
Switch up the wig a little.
And dat ladies and gems is a real person with a career as an actor
amazing show, and it's on FXX! A cold film he might be talking about is "a simple plan", make sure you see that one
He's got a hairpiece that would make john travolta blush.
Fantastic character brilliantly acted
a brilliant actor
It would be sooo worth it to have a Malvo movie
I watched Fargo (Season 1) about 17 times until now. BBT is one of my favorit actors , besides Chris Walken.
Happy birthday Jen.
Really liked the Fargo movie and TV series. Billy Bob is right, TV is where the great independent films are happening now. He should do a TV series on Slingblade.
HAPPY 63TH BIRTHDAY BILLY BOB THORNTON !!!
He was so amazing in this. He just oozed menace.
malvo to reporter : "is this what you want?"
Imagine Billy Bob Thornton and Daniel Day Lewis in a picture together.
You have a bless'd day now.
Best actor of his generation.
The most menacing character I hv seen on film or a series.
It truly was a great series & BBT was a great Malvo.
