- During the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Patrick Mahomes accidentally injured his own teammate, wide receiver Rashee Rice, during a tackle attempt following an interception. Mahomes collided with Rice’s leg as both were trying to stop a Chargers defender, leading to a knee injury for Rice. He was carted off the field, raising concerns about the severity of the injury. While the Chiefs are awaiting further updates, the injury to Rice, who has been one of Mahomes' key targets this season, could put additional pressure on other receivers like rookie Xavier Worthy
Mahomes purposely aiming for the intercepting defender's knees but severely damaging his WR1's knee instead is karma for trying to take out a defender's knee!!! And Rashee getting his knee injured for the season by his own QB after he had already caused the defender to fumble is car-ma for his March 31 119-MPH street racing that caused a 6-car crash in Dallas where a passing car's dashcam showed him casually walking away from the crash scene without assisting or at least checking on the passengers of those cars that crashed due to his crime!
Karma going around😂 I hate Mahomes and I’m glad he got karma, but he’s a QB. I don’t expect him to tackle cleanly, but it should atleast be a flag….
@@RestinpeaceKobe If you watch all the camera angles in slow-motion, Mahomes was clearly trying to aim low to hit the knees of Chargers CB #7 Kristian Fulton with his elbow and helmet. Even at NFL football speed, any player could see CB Fulton was running very near the sideline so it would have been easier for Mahomes to hit Fulton in the chest to knock him out-of-bounds. Ironically and karmically, the *ONLY* reason Kristian was not hit in the knees by Mahomes was because Rice pulled the ball out of Fulton's right arm, causing Fulton to turn clockwise and avoid Mahome's incoming hit.
So it was karma all around: Mahomes hit the wrong knee and took out his WR1, Rice got his dose of car-ma for causing injuries and trauma in the Dallas car crash that he caused, Rice saved CB Fulton from getting hit in the knee by causing Fulton to fumble, and the Chargers still recovered the ball after Fulton's INT and fumble smdh
@@CJ-xv7oi True and now that I think about it he was obviously targeting for his knee whether he knows how to tackle or not. He basically just took out his last hope and without Brown, he just has worthy and Kelce. Travis is getting older and was apart of the drop crew last season. So he’ll probably just depend on Speed star to get him most of his stats, and if he gets over worked like that as a rookie, it won’t be long until he’d injured too.
I was kinda mad this game wasn't on NBC because I would've loved to hear Colinsworth explain why this was actually an incredible play by Mahomes

Kelce gave up on that pass like he heard a gunshot. I give Mahomes credit for at least being a football player and getting into the fight. And to be honest, I've seen a few DBs throw worse blocks or tackles.
It might be tough for KC to get a W now. I wouldnt want to play KC now. The refs are going to need a backpack to carry all the flags.

Man, I wonder who wrote that into the script. Rashee, you're just going to have to take one for the mastermind script writers. OK, everyone got it?
What a strange sequence. Should be an investigation into deliberate intent with reckless disregard for player safety (outside of the agreed rules and expected risks of the game). If proven, this injury can lead to assault charges and a civil lawsuit.

Read up on how Rice caused a six car crash while driving over 100+ mph in Dallas back in the spring causing people to have lasting injuries. Celebrities and athletes shouldn't be allowed to get away with things like that. I'm not saying I'm happy about ACL injury, but if he was in prison where he belongs then it wouldn't have happened.
Bad situation that Mahomes should not have been in in the first place. I get he wants to do something but it’s a hell of a risk for him especially since he doesn’t have near as much protection as anyone else.
It’s just a bad tackle. He missed the dude and unintentionally collided with Rice.
His momentum brought him lower to the ground (because the defender juked him), but he was going to launch himself into the defender but just failed at it
You can fault him for bad form but that was just an unfortunate event
No, no. He should have let the defender run in and score. He would have gotten the ball back. Quarterbacks throw interceptions all the time that go back for a touchdown. The game was not over at all. He could have seriously caused himself to have a season ending injury. Bone headed decision. Never tackle like that over an interception. That is not his role.
After this play, my opinion of PM dropped about 50%. Horrible decision to throw into triple coverage, worse throw, followed by a tackle attempt (why?) not worthy of the Pee Wee league. From bad to unbelievably bad to wipe out your teammate's season in under 15 seconds
Hes been doing it all season.
@@guitarzan2626 agree, and this took it to a new level. Also Pat seems to have the angry & confused look of a deeply depressed person whenever he's on the field
This is why they teach you to never leave your eyes off the ball-carrier when tackling. What Mahomes did wasn't tackling at all but a deliberate attempt at hurting the opposing player yet its was his own team-mate that gets injured. Dirty as f**k no matter what.
Nice job Patrick!
He gets paid multi million dollars to attempt to tackle like that?! I dont care how many rings he's got.
Glad he’s out for the season, shouldn’t have been playing anyways

You're right. Let's ban below the knee tackles. Before anyone is hit we need to make sure they also have a pillow and bubble wrap for anyone in a 5yd radius. Lets all band together and make sure NFL knows we want this sport to be SAFE!

No quarterback in the league should have done that except for maybe a Baker Mayfield who is always trying to prove he is tough. Mahomes could have also ended his season with that hit, ie a shoulder, neck or back injury. He should have stood back and let the guy score a touchdown. There was plenty of game left to play. Isn't "throwing yourself at the legs of players" how light weight players are TAUGHT to tackle?
