it's great that Karan Singh shared his magic trick. Because he has already mentioned that it's not scientifically possible to read minds and that it's a trick, many of us would have deliberately chosen black instead of red when he said warm color. I use 7 everywhere, but for this, I chose 8 of clubs for some weird reason. That in no way puts down his ability.

The fundamental of any complex mind reading trick is a "prep work". All the magicians and illusionist do a simple prep exercise which is used to extrapolate the necessary information pertaining to their act of the day. And there's a code amongst the practitioners that no prep work shall ever be recorded on camera. And this "subliminal influencing" explanation of how a mind reading works has also been perpetuated since the beginning of time but is not at all relevant for performing mind reading illusions. Example of a prep work could be as simple as - asking people to write their special person name on a blank piece of paper and asking them throw or burn that paper with you (magician) ever looking/ touching the paper ever.
But nonetheless, those who perform such illusions have to have a great mass communication skills, crowd management skills and a lot of other complimentary magic skills to successfully pull of an excellent magic "day".
(Yes, greatest magicians consider an entire day as an act regardless of when the actual "performance" begun.)

@10:33 the number or password 100972 is literally Anurag Kashyap's birth date 10th September 1972. Majority of the people have similar dates as their passwords. Anurag Kashyap being a celebrity, it was not very difficult for Karan singh to remember his birthday in controlled environment. Having said that, this skill is not that easy requires a lot of practice as karan himself said that.

i thought of 7, and then remembered karan or suhani's video in which they told that 7 is the most commonly guessed number, i kept that number anyways. However, i caught the 'bright' part and understood how this word may influence others. didnt notice any of his gestures tho, even when i was trying to look for it. only knew when he revealed. That's an amazing skill, too bad that he also, with so much experience, can only perform them in a controlled environment.
