- For over 3000 years, a mysterious red plague had caused havoc in the whole world. Empires crumbled down because of it, whole civilisations were lost. It was a nightmare for people around the world. But there was one small village in England, which seemed immune to it. How could that happen? This is the story of Smallpox and how the first vaccine in the world was invented by Dr.Jenner.

What the govt did was good and appreciable if we compare it with a govt like Modi's would so in a similar situation but you need to understand that what they did was their duty not a favour on the society or those in children. The government is supposed to work for the welfare of the sociery (if they do it or not is a different matter), otherwise what are they elected for?
Comparitevly, other countries had already been free of the disease and India was one of the last ones to do so.

I read this in my school textbook. Milkmaids were immune to smallpox since they already had cowpox (a lighter version of smallpox) which acted like a vaccine for smallpox.

This incident depicts the true importance of medical science. How a small experiment saved literally lives of millions of people. As a teenager, at covid times I really don't understand the importance of vaccine. But this video has shown the importance of awareness of viral diseases and it's precautions. Kudos to Dr. Jenner and dhruv bhaiyya.

Huge respect for you work. I am a Ph.D scholar from University of Hyderabad. I was in university the time Rohith Vemula attempted suicide, but no one knows what was exact reason, political parties made a different scene. I wish you make reality video about real reason and what exactly made him to do so. I still feel things were hyped. Things could be handled in better way. But... We are still unaware of real story
His father was OBC and mother was Mala(SC). He was Ambedkarite. You can easily saw his photo with photo of Babasaheb and leaving his hostel. I also don't know what really happened with him. But some people says He was MOST VOCAL for Caste issues in University. And end up losing all hope and committed suicide. I also don't know the real truth. Hope he make a Vedio on this topic.
Vipin P. Veetil was Assistant professor in IIT Madras. He was OBC who fought competition on General seat. Still General professor bully him so much he end up resigned from University. Becoz of Castiesm. They even Hurled castiest slur on him. Castiesm in University are huge problem. There is huge list of reserved students commitinh suicide

I have been seeing a person around 60 years of age with small pox marking in his face. He was a bus driver. My father always told me that perhaps he was the last person with small pox attack.
