The main problem i see with running garden gnome in quest druid is you either need innervate (which is a card you have to draw) to keep pushing the quest on 4. Or you play it on 5. Which is basically just a split up 5 mana boulderfist ogre. Arguably hardly worth it without board buffs of your own
LastZepp1 look at it this way. You’d much rather use a yeti to trade against a hyena alpha over a flamewreathed faceless any day of the week. Only time split bodies are better is against strong single target removal like say warrior with shield slam.
Trump, just play crystal merchant on turn 1 with coin or an innervate. That way you get to have a 1/4 on turn 1, and play the quest on turn 2, activating the first part of the quest and also giving you an extra card on turn 2.
That’s nearly the same except you get to attack for 1 on turn 2. Either way you get nothing on turn 1 and both procs on turn 2. I guess 1 damage is better than nothing.

Biology project is very good in this deck. Helps you float mana easier and catch up on board while still making quest progress. Later on, it allows you a play of a 5 and 6 mana on the same turn, which is quite common, like starfall and oasis
I have been running a singleton quest druid deck with pretty decent success. A few cards are tech'd like MCT or ooze and I even run a brewmaster and Elysiana for the late game since I tend to draw through my deck really fast. Elise is in there as well for a possible third zephyrs with her and brewmaster bounce. Seems pretty weak vs hardcore aggro decks but damn strong vs most control decks

What about adding splintergraft? You can get a 10 mana 12/12 oasis surger with rush that summons another 12/12. Or you can use it on one of Anubisath defenders to have a potentially 0 mana 10/10 with taunt. Or perhaps it’s too slow... I don’t have Loti , Phaoris , Cenarius and Floop so instead I have Juicy Psychemelon , Azalina , Elisiana and Ancient of war. Would be interested to hear someone’s feedback if you wanna test it ;)!
Phaoris is only good because Cen, otherwise it's bad. Not having Cen and Floop is a bummer and I think these are kind of essentials for this deck. Psychemelon is draw, but druid has enough draw, Ancient I think is a good budget alternative. Azalina is bad, you dont want to lose your "choose one" cards. Even if the hand is empty, she would be only kind of ok against quest shaman (they have full hands often) but still no turning point against warrior, even with Ely in hand. You would still be a worse version of warrior with that and still lose the game, albeit a bit alter. If you have her, maybe Alex could work for some surprise burst (like Cen, but worse). Unfortunately the biggest minions are not budget friendly and imho you'll have to craft one or two legendarys to get decent win rates.
GreenHeart Yeah I should probably give up on trying to outvalue the infinite value of dr.boom so Alex makes sense as a good inclusion. And I used azalina because I was encountering quite a lot of quest shamans along the way. I hate control Warriors so I have play nomi along with a overflow to empty my deck and also fuels the phaoris for more value to kill them late game. This version is better against aggro though.
I've played like 20 games of quest druid and nourish has always been a dead card. Against aggro it's too slow and against control, i really like to apply pressure, so it's too slow again. I've never really run out of cards with this deck either- i would often overdraw if I did play nourish. Also, part of why i like quest druid is tending tauren, power of the wild, and cenarius are absolutely insane token cards with quest complete. Maybe it's just because i like that type of deck, but quest+token feels really strong against most matchups. Curious as to why trump would take out 4 good token cards and then put garden gnome back in. I was thinking about adding the gnome, but in place of nourish.
Well I play with one Nourish and it seems to be ok just to get options. I usually keep it till I am at 10 mana and then I can play two 6-cost cards (Nourish + Hidden Oasis or Tending Tauren). Two Nourishes seem to be too much since I do not have Chef Nomi to put the card draw to any use. Now seeing this video, I will try Garden Gnome and will see what happens :-)
the only issue i have with quest druid is that it runs out of steam against value and control decks. i mean running out of steam vs a hunter is a wierd feeling and i doubt it can beat control warrior
The deck actually does something pretty weird: It's not really a control or combo deck, but has one of the worst early games. It's actually a midrange deck... The type without near infinite value. So you actually gotta kill your opponent - but its so hard to fit burst tools in. Its weird.
@@TheSorrowfulAngel i know what it is, but midrange doesn't mean they are all mid game cards like this one. traditionally mid range decks have a mix of early and end game cards, along with cost efficient, good statted hitters. the deck sacrifices early game but has no late game plan. heal druid is similar except it's all late game. honestly i don't know why you wouldn't play token over it. it's way more flexible, has threats at any point in the game and very rarely runs out of gas
@@coycen Well, quest Druid is a very weird midrange deck. I mean, what makes you win in hearthstone? Tempo. While you have no early tempo, your mid-lategame tempo swings are insane. However, vs AoE heavy classes, this style is pretty difficult. Druid also lacks finishers - Cenarius is about the best finisher you have for the deck.
most of the time you get a lot of trash minions not worth their mana cost (like the 6 Mana 3/3) and it's just a bigger Onyxia. With N'Zoth at least you were guaranteed to get very good Minions back. Don't think he is that OP, I think Hero Cards were more OP.

This quest is very much a problem, it seem. Hyper value, what feels like a lack of counterplay, and no need to choose (One of the more fun/interesting things about the choose one cards).
The last game where you innervated turn 2 with the merchant meant you missed 1 dmg because you could've innervated her out turn 1 and play the quest turn 2

And i have yet had a single game where they dont have all these cards. Maby the single one i won i think the heal/taunt elluded him. I could not build a deck that killed druid before turn 5-6.

@@chrisragnar1 OK hearthstone is naturally an inconsistent game it doesn't have the same consistency as yugioh Therefore they won't have those cards every game Aggro does do work Let's say you play zoolock (aggro deck everyone knows)You can easily by turn 5 (when the deck actually starts to function) Have done at least 15 damage And have a board that wide (with more than 2 health) to survive their surge/starfall Or play control the deck autolose unless it runs nomi And if they run nomi and you grind them out enough that they don't have a good play before they deck out you still win Tldr:just play a good aggro deck or a good control deck and you will be fine
You can see in the video that the deck has enough draw to not have to worry about it. Sometimes your Nourishes become unplayable dead draws if your crystal merchant gets any early game value so it’s definitely a curve-streamlining card in a deck that deliberately ruins your curve. It makes sense as an inclusion, even as a one-of

Yeah but quest druid has enough late game potential.
What it lacks is early game, so the card is good
You can see in the video that the deck has enough draw to not have to worry about it. Sometimes your Nourishes become unplayable dead draws if your crystal merchant gets any early game value so it’s definitely a curve-streamlining card in a deck that deliberately ruins your curve. It makes sense as an inclusion, even as a one-of
