Regarding the drill thing, I was helping my uncle clean out a shed on his farm, which used to belong to my great grandfather, and we found a corded drill from the 1960s or so that had clearly been used to mix paint cans and had just been sitting in the dirt for decades. The reason guns are so easy to get in some states is some places understand the 4 million gun uses per year to save live liberty and property in the US each year. Some places have really strict gun laws, they also have much higher crime rates. The us is an interesting place And you said it's more difficult (or the perception of difficulty) to get a license then a gun- you can't buy a gun without a license (state issued id). It's a tool. I'll share a very tldr of the wow guild I founded and ran. It was one of those dreaded elite raiding/pvp guilds though we did try to keep it laid back and more casual than our competition. Now over multiple guilds, sister guilds, training guilds etc, we had over 800 unique players, not characters, players, that had signed up for the forums, in game no idea. We were huge. Infact I am sure alot if the smaller sister guilds had no idea what the head guild was called or who tf I even was. Anyway, for the main 2 guilds we had some core rules before you could join, no drama, 18+ proffered unless your vetted by a few upper ranked members, and you would likely be kicked to a sister guild if teen angst started up or the likes. Average age in the main guild was easily 30s to 40s likely higher. Most held very good jobs or were military. Infact I was one of the youngest. Now you'd think having most the guild 30+ drama, petty fights and hurt feelings wouldn't be an issue right? Right??? Nope, every...damn....day before going to work, check vent, forums, and ingame mail....dozens to hundreds of damned messages of "he called me a name" look further down in mail, said person called them that name because they were called a name. It was like toddlers, or herding cats. Honestly I'd be HAPPY if the complaints were actually serious because it didn't feel like a waste of my time. I recently got a dragunov clone rifle. Love it. Anytime you walk into a gun shop/big box/pawn shop you have to fill out a 4473 when you buy a firearm (some states have license exceptions).
A lot of the spree shooters passed background checks and scrutiny. All that red tape stops good people from becoming armed.
I grew up in the blue part of a blue state. Took me being in the army to realize I dislike both major sides.
Thanks for the great content!

The passive insulation provided by buildings adds a significant amount of heat retention and your body will heat up the space you're occupying as well, someone could still freeze to death in their garage but finding shelter even without active heating inside of it, would be a significant contributor to staying warm.
The reason guns are so easy to get in some states is some places understand the 4 million gun uses per year to save live liberty and property in the US each year.
Some places have really strict gun laws, they also have much higher crime rates.
The us is an interesting place
And you said it's more difficult (or the perception of difficulty) to get a license then a gun- you can't buy a gun without a license (state issued id).
It's a tool. A very good tool that does its job well.
And people like you and I owning guns keeps the crazy people from causing trouble with guns most of the time =)
I love these vods btw. It's so awesome seeing you unedited still the same as you are edited.
I wish you could narrate my life lol
I'm sorry, what?
You honestly believe yourself to be some kind of vigilante freedom fighter because you own a gun? You're a picture-perfect example of a person that believes firearms and firepower alone keep the world in check, I guess?
You really believe you live in a world of evil, surrounded by enemies on all sides, don't you?
The world can just as easily be saved by proper education and people having fair opportunities to succeed, and not by bullets and authoritarian rule through power.
@@mysticmallachi777 you clearly don't understand the concept of mutually assured destruction.
If you walk into a shop to rob it with 5 people in the building, and the odds of someone carrying a fire arm is 30% or greater-
Are you going to pause and think of your actions?
Of course you are.
Also
"Vigilante freedom fighting " save 4 million people from being raped, robbed, assaulted, or outright murdered each year in the United States, and that's just what the cdc is willing to admit.

Also stop using that word "propaganda ". You clearly a: don't what it means and b: are taking away from its actual meaning.
You've not negated anything I've said- just spouted off with vitriolic repetitive insults and talking points from msm and other more Marxist organizations.
@@Velanestar LOL, so you counter my claim that you're spewing propaganda, by saying I'm spewing propaganda from a different source?
Deny your flawed logic all you want. I haven't hurled insults at anyone, you bot-for-brains (might as well start, now that you've accused me falsely). Your argument was that guns need to exist to protect oneself from guns. It's flawed, whether or not you understand why.
Edit/added: AA wouldn't TOUCH this conversation in public. He's actually too intelligent for that (clearly moreso intelligent than we are).
I don't really care about what you thought you intended with your comment, you're spreading an ideology that literally kills people as a means to resolve conflict, and I'm not cool with that.
This entire fucking planet needs to grow the fuck up and start using their words before we're all entirely doomed, instead of relying on weapons like cavemen. We can be better, but not so long as people like you exist, professing a false peace bought with blood, bullets, and fear.
You're a walking plague that thinks it's a batman-esque hero.

Life is, its just way to grimdark.
All these comments on background checks.. In some places (NC) it's still legal to buy long rifles person to person. An individual is not required to do a background check before selling a rifle, they're responsible if they know upfront and still sell the weapon. This includes murder y'all, don't sell a weapon to someone who shows intent of committing murder, you could been seen as an accomplice.
You mentioning that eating caused you physical pain made me think of my brother with siliac disease. He was real skinny and his stomach hurt until we found he had a dietary restriction

Hearing "Allllllllllllllll MY exes live in Texas" during a zombie game would actually be kinda funny/soothing. It's a song that has literally nothing to do with anything zombie-related, not even close. So, in a way, it would help to keep you cool-calm-n-collected during a stressful period of time. "Period of time" is equal to the direct inverse reciprocal of the amount of time you are subject to said *mouth noise* of terrestrial globbity-gloop.

There is an extensive background check system in place that you have to go through whenever you want to purchase a firearm. Many states even have waiting periods before you can pick up your purchased firearm.
I strongly encourage you to educate yourself further on this topic.
I came to the comments to say the very same thing
This is really dependent on state. When I purchased mine it was a quick process, couple minutes, and had no waiting period. Additionally, last I checked waiting periods are only for 10 states/territories/etc. in the US, which statistically I don't consider many.
@@TheHuffmanator Brother I was only addressing the waiting period statement. However, if we want to talk about background checks, I wouldn't call them extensive. Not to mention how many gun bashes and swap meets don't care about background check.

Oh my God hearing you talk about running servers gave me flashbacks to running clans/guilds.
The worst is a tie between a runescape 3 clan, and a World of Warcraft guild.
It almost felt like running that guild was a second full time job, and I swear I spent more hours on it than my actual full time job or even doing fun things like not dealing with bs.
