It’s called a duffle coat

Duffle Coat. Made from wool. Used to be worn by the British Army and Navy 1930s through to 1960s. Then by beatniks. And me and my brothers. The buttons are called toggles, usually carved wood, but the posher specimens were horn (cow,goat or deer). Seem to be making a comeback, but a bit more tarted up and a lot more expensive. My son wears one which must be 50 years old.
