Amazing run and runner 👍 Unpopular opinion: This is the best Monkey Island game, sorry Mr. Gilbert. PS. Never knew that awesome Pirate Song existed. Apparently it was cut from all non-english language versions of the game.
That sucks, I guess maybe cause the song is a word based puzzle it would've been a bastard to reconstruct it for every other language? Maybe something fans could do given enough resources but Curse is practically open source at this point
I was lucky enough to play this game growing up, under 10 years old learning a lot of the techniques FrozenSpade uses here: entering & exiting "teleport" spots to get Guybrush to move faster, dialogue skipping, route management, the random banking of sword insults. See, I started to learn these techniques because we couldn't keep CoMI installed on our family computer due to the install size back in the 90's, and the desire to quickly get to my favorite parts made it worthwhile to optimize everything. I love this game, still listen to the soundtrack and the quotes are a part of everyday life. FrozenSpade, ya showed me a lot of cool tricks that I feel the urge to check out on my next visit to Melee Island
Monkey Island is my favourite game series ever, with Curse being my favourite! I've never spedrun a game, but this would be one that I would love to try it for and glad to see it here
The purpose of the game for you is to enjoy the story and work out the puzzles. The purpose of the game for this guys is to break it and play it as fast as possible.

Of COURSE a Monkey Island run involves save-scumming. Of course.
You just can't skip the pirate song xDD It isn't a Curse of Monkey Island run if you do
I love this series so much, very glad to see it on GDQ!
Oh the classic pirate song! Absolute banger
Hi, I'm Guybrush Threepwood, a mighty pirate!
A pirate I was meant to be, trim the sails and roam the seas! 👬🚢🌴

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood
As much wood as a woodchuck would chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood
I’m not picking that up
never finished that game as a kid.
it's funny because nothing rhymes with orange
No offense, but i feel like this kinda defeats the purpose of a game like this
Memorizing the entire game like this is still impressive though
