- We're back! In this week's episode of PROS, former teammates TL Yeon, 100 Eyla, and IMT Armao sit down with Emily to discuss what they've been up to during the LCS break weeks.

everyone is rightly talking about how great yeon is with his trolling but also gotta give credit to eyla for maintaining his composure. everyone can't be the trash talker and he was fighting for his life out there. meanwhile armao just casually letting the kids have it out.
Even if this content doesn’t perform as well as hoped for, I hope the LCS doesn’t stop producing it because it really is neat to hear the thoughts of players like this outside of short postgame interviews
Pros has been amazing. I love how they actually argue with each other on things. Theyre talking as much as Zven and Bwipo 😂

Yeah i felt the choice of the players this week was great. Them having that history together on TLA made them very comfortable joking around with each other and then having different current teams being able to provide different perspective to how LCS is currently. Really enjoyable episode.
NA survives because of Eu and Eu viewers and Eu raids; therefore Eu needs to have no import slots or western players 😃
Zven hosting this show would be epic.
This is definitely some of my favorite content made for the LCS. Giving the pro players a chance to show their personalities and speak their thoughts helps a ton with their branding and fan base buildimg
Especially in these 3 weeks of nothing to take in - Pros and The Dive are all we have to keep going. Both have been incredible this year so I hope they continue.

Best of 2s could run on point system similar to how it goes in soccer: 3 points for 2-0 win, 1 point for 1-1 tie, 0 points for 0-2 loss. Team with the most points gets 1st seed and so on
It should be 3 points for a win with side selection and 1 for a tie.
its funny cause thats how the old OGN sytem work for LCK and also the other Asian leagues have done in the past before Riot's hard Franchising was put in place in 2016. but then, even with that ALL of those leagues changed to a Bo3 system, yet EU/NA stayed as Bo1 regions..so weird
@@Michaelthacrow NALCS tried to do BO3 for NA in like 2016 (EU had BO2 at the time) and it totally fractured the streaming ecosystem. They had to expand the LCS an extra day, and had to split the stream into 2 separate streams (anyone else remember watching NALCS1 and NALCS2??), and 'caused so much chaos. It was wild.
right i remember, i was there for that. it was just done so poorly and riot didnt know why they even did it in that way. Burned them so bad in terms of looking at the numbers and metrics that they are so scared to return to it.
I really think all Regions around the world should be held to the same format style for clarity and uniformity sake. and Bo2 just makes that possible in a decent manner. @@letgomylegho7406

@@elliotanderson3760 I'm on twitter sometimes and Yeon does get flamed a lot. You would be surprised how much he gets flamed. If you ask me who gets flamed in TL by a lot it's either Yeon / Corejj (TL's bot lane) or APA.
@@LargeMcBottoms This is true but Yeon wasn't the only one who gets flamed in TL. It has been Yeon and Core all the time and when APA joined the team he gets flamed too.
As a fan, I just want more league :) so best of 2s, even if they are the 1-1 anime cliff-hanger, would be worth it!
Hard agree. Feels pretty bad waiting all week to see your team get gapped for 30 minutes then not have a chance to adapt or show anything more. Especially when we more volatile with live patch.

Lovin all the episodes of these podcasts, seein each pro's personality come out alot and not in a "hyper super professional way" is super cool and fun as well as provides good insight into the game and the pro scene/teams
Pros is the best LCS content. The criticism for years has been that the younger players dont have character and the story is always about the old guys. This is the perfect platform for younger guys to flesh out public characters.
Emily is such a good host. Analytical mind but also conscious of the other speakers. Great combination of players to speak together as well, love the content!

I think 1-1 in a Bo2 works as a fan as long as the narrative of the series is the outcome of the standings and not the actual draw. If the standings are constantly being pushed with brackets and visuals it’s still interesting because the movement in the standings is the satisfaction of the draw. If both teams are drawn in standings then ya I mean that’s pretty boring lmao.
Regular season BO2's with 1-1 outcomes not being satisfying should actually be a possitive as its regular season and builds hype for the actual Playoffs rounds which are conclusive as it should wrapping up a split.
I think if they did these after games it would be better because they'd be able to actually talk about some of the OP picks. It sucks to hear them all having to dodge the questions about champs

I found the recent episode to be quite engaging. However, I have noticed some inconsistency with the audio levels of each participant in the last few episodes. It would be greatly appreciated if this issue could be addressed and possibly resolved. Thank you.
Would it be viable to play a double round robin Bo3, where half the matches are played on stage on the weekend, and the rest are played from home during the week? So the from-home matches have about the same level of production as LPL/LCK English, with no studio, which I imagine lowers the production cost substantially.
So half the LCS would be operating on the same production level as COVID or NACL? It's definitely viable, but is it preferable? I don't think so.
@@proteuswest1084 Yes - but there would still be just as much higher-quality in-studio broadcast as now, so people who only want to watch that could skip the weekday games and would get the same product that they get now. I wouldn't be surprised if fewer than half as many people watched the weekday matches, but a sizable group of fans would love having the extra matches, and it sounds like nearly all of the players themselves would prefer it.
The thing about the bo2 that some people don't realize is that it can happen in the regular season Bo1 regardless. Like win the first round robin lose the second. So it really doesn't matter
Scrims are just that scrims or practice if you will gameday comes around and players take it serious they turn up
Best of twos would be dope, it would make up for the lose of two teams in the league, players get more games, viewers get more games to watch, teams can pull out more drafts. Make both teams do a coin flip to see who picks blue side/red side first.

BO3’s wouldn’t work with the LCS budget. Just can’t. I mean the DK vs DRX BO3 they just played in LCK was over 7 hours because of pauses. An entire day of LCS. The LCS is already cutting budget so they’re not gonna have a 7 hour day just for 1 series. And you can’t plan for pauses so you can’t just be like well they’ll adjust. No, they’ll have to keep the show going and open the studio for more days if shit like that happens. I don’t see it being economically feasible.

Yeon is a fun guy. I wish he had the skills to back it up. We're so far gone from the days of the best players also being fun personalities. Bwipo is like the only exception to the rule in LCS currently.
People who argue against best of 2’s are idiots. Regular season doesn’t matter. going 1-1 builds hype for playoffs where games actually matter.
Any to build a narrative and hype for the league would be great. Especially if we’re supposed to be testing live patch in pro. Let’s see more of the live patch, not less.

They're still doing a lot of external interviews, and internal media stuff - even doing aram streams during the break. I don't think this is a massively intense segment or anything. I suspect the main reason is that, last year, they had the C9 team on the desk *a lot*, and are trying to shake the allegations of bias. @@ItsxCreationZ

16 games is so little, Bo2 doubles stage games. If we can’t do Bo3, Bo2 is still so much better than Bo1. 1-1 Ties are fine. Soccer is full of ties and it’s the most popular sport in the world.
