    Thanks for the info. I was thinking the rear shocks were not needed because it is rough as a cod with them installed...

    Thanks! About to cut my rear strut mount off to make more room for the new motor!

    I have a new EVolution Forester 4+ cart and the only complaint I gave is the rough ride over the few bumps that I encounter on my community trips. As per the video, this cart has two leaf springs and the third overload leaf. You’ve convinced me that I should just remove the rear shock absorbers to smooth out those bumps. The shocks actually add to the shock factor.

    Thanks for this info. The PO of my ezgo switched over to Roypow and 23 inch on 14’s. Going from a Marathon I though I loved it until I quickly grew to hate the ride. I feel that shedding the 280lbs of battery weight made heavy duty springs overkill and I removed one leaf each and pulled the springs off the coil overs in the front. Still a little rough by myself but with a few adults it’s way better. 2 questions if I may.
    1. At 170lbs I jump hard on the back platform and get about 2-3” of travel at most. Do you think I could remove one more set of leaves (leaving 2)?
    2. I’m thinking of going with 12 inch and 23” (or maybe 22”) for the extra sidewall. Do you think that will soften the ride significantly as well?
    Thanks in advance. Golf carts are not just a ride, they’re a hobby.

    Thx for all of your excellent vids! I have G29 and since the lead/acid batteries were replaced by Lithium, the ride is just awful stiff. Abt 250 lbs less weight. Can you throw a bone to this senior guy? How do I change the shock/spring load so it rides a lot better? Been thinking about adding weight but that might be more difficult. I tried bigger tires with a lot of side wall, helps a little. But as a single rider of the golf course, at 220 I am not enuff load? Air shocks? Thx in advance...

    Have you ever extended the frame or any other way to get the motor out from underneath the seat and do you have any videos if you have?

    Have you ever seen a kit or group of parts to run air ride on a CC Precedent. I'm running 16 inch aluminum car wheels with 25.5 inch tires. After loosing all the weight of lead batteries and no back seat, it rides like a army truck. I would love to three link or 4 link the rear, but all the decent heim joints still seem backordered since covid

    I have a 2020 EZGO Valor that I traded in my 1997 EZGO TXT for and we've been very disappointed with how stiff the ride is. We live on a golf course that does not have cart paths and the fairways are bumpy as well. Do you have a suggestion on how we can soften the ride? My wife hates this cart because of the rough ride. Thank you, Lee from AZ

    I just added HD leaf springs to my DS and now it bounces to where I’m car sick when driving it. Does that mean my cart is one that would benefit from shocks?

    I am building a stretched EZGO ac conversion.
    I am using the Modz heavy duty springs from you guys.
    With the extra length and weight should I look to set up a rear shock?
    As you pointed out clearance is an issue.
    So the question really is it worth it on my application to get a shock to fit?

    Would you keep the shocks for an ezgo workhorse with an electric dump rear box?

    Finding the 6 inch lifted Villager 6 has way to much body roll to the point it is so unstable they are flipping it over too often with the rear shocks detached. When they lifted it they maintained the transverse front spring and left the rear shocks disconnected. My intention is to put extenders on the factory shocks and see if that limits the roll sufficiently and if not then go with a rear sway bar or perhaps add limiting straps. For LSV use its too unstable right now and the body leans enough for the front tires to rub the fenders. Don't really want to add stiffer rear springs and make it ride like a truck.
    Best!

    My CC Precedent has 3 plate leafs AND rear shocks. I am not the original owner. This looks stock.
    I am wondering if I can remove the shock and just run the leafs.
    Yes. I will eventually upgrade to the Navitas 5kw motor.

    Would there be a major benefit to running an air shock on the front of an EZGO? Versus the stock shock?

      Other than you being able to set the stiffness on the ride up front not really. The only way to get a good ride is with a Long Travel lift of some type of A Arm setup. Leaf springs will always be a rougher ride

    Looking at a Jake’s long travel kit what’s the best setup for driving on rough ranch roads rear suspension wise?

    • @GolfCartsModified
      @GolfCartsModified  2 роки тому

      Are you going to be using the cart to haul anything? Typically a good set of HD springs with no shocks on the rear with a TXT or CC DS and same with a precedent

    • @Pbsteed12
      @Pbsteed12 2 роки тому

      @@GolfCartsModified minimal hauling might mount a pakmule on the hitch.

      Rotate the top of the shock until the nut on the top comes off.

      If you are running a rear seat kit that folds down as a bed and always have people and things in the back it’s usually a good idea but not 100% necessary. Try it without first and see how it rides.
