As a Virginia Tech Alumni, I went to every single home game during my four years at VT. My freshman year at VT was the year we went to the National Championship game against FSU with Michael Vick as our quarterback. I have also been to pro-football games. I can absolutely assure you, without a doubt, NOTHING beats the energy of a huge college football game, and Virginia Tech ALWAYS brings that energy. The Enter Sandman entrance, experienced live at Lane Stadium, is unlike any other experience you can imagine. It is a beast of adrenaline and tradition. As a freshman in college, I was spoiled. I was spoiled by Michael Vick's Houdini-like ability to avoid tackles. I was spoiled by win-after-win, often by overwhelming scores. I was spoiled by seeing the ESPN College Football tv crew appearing at nearly all of our games, as if this were just normal. And I was spoiled by our one-of-a-kind Enter Sandman entrance. I was too young and it was too overwhelming for me to really comprehend how unique that experience was. I can look back on it now and recognize how amazing it was and how fortunate I was to have that experience multiple times over four years. Thank you VT!
The jumping and massive chanting is something that keeps me coming back to my sports team Feyenoord Rotterdam. The electrifying energy is addictive. Sounds like you had a tremendous time.

I can't count how many college & pro football games I've attended but I'm telling you...being there to witness this atmosphere in person is like NONE OTHER!!! Even if you're not there for VA Tech you'll be jumping around singing like a mad person! Awesome experience!
Ikr I would love to go see them play in person it looks so freaking awesome it would be a great honor to jump n go crazy when they play enter sandman at a VA Teach game
@ Christopher Lentz Nor do I want to. LSU has NOTHING on VT entrance ! Unless it registers as a freakin EARTHQUAKE on a seismograph machine, U have NOTHING on VT !!!
And this is why college football is 10 times better than the NFL it’s all about passion and brotherhood and wanting to win. They’re doing it because they love the game not because they want to get paid
I've been fortunate to see many college football entrances. Virginia Tech is hands down the best adrenaline pumping Game Time Team Entrance in the Country!
As a die hard Tennessee fan. I have no problem admitting that no one has a better entrance than Virginia Tech. Many years ago, I didn't know about their entrance yet. The first one I witnessed, has yet to be upstaged. Michael Vick was their QB and they had a big opponent coming in for a night game. As the song started, Vick was shaking the Virginia Tech flag as the team were waiting to come out of the tunnel. The fans were so into it, you thought they were going to cause the stadium to collapse. I remember the ESPN announcer going beserk and talking about how many chill bumps he had all over his body..lol..Respect to the Hokies.
Buddy of mine was the starting punter at tech from 01-04. He always tried to explain to me how absolutely crazy this feeling was walking into this mad house. Especially the 03 game against Miami.
Had the chance to see the Hokies play last year vs ODU. I've seen the tigers run down the hill at Clemson and song the War Hymn at A&M, BEST ENTRANCE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL!
Been to several games there when my daughter was a student. Videos don't do it justice. It is beyond LOUD, wild, electric, amazing! The stadium literally vibrates and shakes. The sound is so loud it usually registers on a seismic meter too. Never experienced anything like it!
Going into my sophomore year at VT... there was nothing like the UNC game this past year. Forming the tunnel pre game and being on field after the win made me into a football fan. The energy was insane!!
Greatest game I've ever been to was in 2003. Miami came to Blacksburg. I've never heard the stadium be so loud. Even before we started jumping everybody was going nuts. Miami was ranked #2 at the time but they may as well had stayed in the bus, they got absolutely destroyed
I remember watching it on TV just cause it was some football game on TV and I had nothing better to do. Still to this day, this was the best football intro I had ever seen and I still get goosebumps when I go back and see it.
Im from London lived in Roanoke and had the best times I've ever had in my life at Virginia Tech!! Such an amazing place and such amazing, incredible people!! LETS GO HOKIEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
This is such an insane thing to experience. Even if you don’t like VT, absolutely recommend going to a game just for this. Super lucky as a student I’ve gotten to do this :)
I remember saying it at the time: "This is undoubtedly the best entrance scene in all of football. The problem for Va Tech is eventually they have to kick off." Clemson won this game handily. Style is cool, but substance wins. BTW...Clemson has the 2nd best entrance scene (No, I'm not a Clemson fan). I can't wait for full stadiums again
I went to Ohio State but currently live in Blacksburg. This is the best entrance in college football with the exception of the Penn State White Out Game. I can not wait until the season is back again. Absolute electricity.
I love it. As a canes fan... it’s such a pain to play against and it’s not something you can emulate. Blacksburg is a very special place under the lights
I love it it’s my type of energy I would Go crazy at a Virginia teach football game bc I love music like this idc who love this coming from a Georgia Bulldogs fan
My family and extended family are VT alumni and there is no home game, college or pro, like the experience at Lane Stadium! They actually effect the Richter Scale. What other team can claim that!
UA-cam sent me here. I know nothing about college football. This is the best entrance in all sport. No pro team in any sport anywhere in the world has an entrance like this. Imagine they slowly dimmed the lights as the entrance approached and pulsed the floodlights on the beat. Then full lights on the field as they finally enter.
Entrance-wise, yeah, this is the best. But overall tradition-wise, Jump Around at Camp Randall is probably my favorite. And I’d still put both of those above running under the M Go Blue banner at the Big House, and I’m a Michigan fan saying that.
