Hi Paul and Aaron! Always good to see you two in another video. Sometimes I watch these burger videos and I think it would only take a few steps for the vendors to improve their burgers. In this case, toasting the buns, seasoning the burgers, and maybe using simply ketchup rather than the mystery barbecue sauce would have helped. I wonder if the eateries ever see your videos, and make adjustments, because you two have thoughtful comments. Thanks for another great video.
You're not wrong ---there are many small things that could easily have been tweaked. Some places do see our videos, I remember one offered me a free order of onion rings the next time I ate there ;)
My kind of BBQ sauce (NO BBQ smoky & sweet sauce is better than any kind of ), pickles are great and the patty has to be without any gristle at all ! And you're right about the tomatoes, sensei 😉Paul !
You've gotten a lot of good burgers, so I guess it was time for a so so one. I know a lot of people love toasted buns and I don't mind them, but I grew up on steamed buns, so that's my prefrence.
These intros are so freaking epic! Love them! These burgers looked really good. The ingredients looked super fresh but wish the buns were toasted and it’s a bummer the sauce wasn’t flavorful D:
Yeah, that was only around for a limited time during sakura season a month or two ago. I've tried a boba pizza before but it was an option we looked at ---just never happened this time...
I agree with Aaron, not a thick/super juicy burger fan. Smash burgers taste the best in my opinion and the moisture is still there, especially with toppings and things. I like my steak medium but never do I want a burger like that - I find you can taste the rawness and its offputting.
This one sounded like a bust. Bummer. I prefer more of a smash patty these days. There's something about that extra charred flavor that you get. I totally understand what you're saying about the tomato! I hate when I have a burger/sandwich and bite into that hard center, so I appreciate that they took the time to remove it!
Just an FYI, that McDs Canada has released for a limited time McShaker fries. Same idea as the Shaka-Shaka fries, you so often show. Two seasonings of Masala and Churro…. Didn’t know churro was a flavour, other than deep fried dough. Lol. I will certainly have to try the masala seasoning.
Thanks for the heads-up. Can't wait to start seeing some reviews from Canadian channels. Interesting flavours ---I wonder if churro will be a cinnamon sugar type thing...?
@@CriticalEatsJapan just tried the Masala seasoning, and it was pretty mild. Ok, but won’t get it again. I did buy the Churro seasoning, and will try later when I make fries at home.
Very literal name for the burger truck but branding wise it was kind of ingenious. Bit weird not toasting the bun or no burger diaper. Sad about the bbq sauce not having any flavour, the bun not toasted and the patty being a bit gristly, no flavour and probably a stock standard one. Burger wise I like decent sized patty, more of a medium ground on the beef and well cooked. It needs to have at a minimum a toasted bun, cheese, mustard and pickles. Spicy is always a welcome addition also.
@@truth4004 it is what they are. They wrap around the burger to catch the mess, just like a baby. If you don’t like my terminology then ignore the comment and move on. I am simply stating what I call them
I kind of think they offer a variety of different items depending on their booking. This time they did burgers, but next time they'll do something else. Not sure if they have a signature dish or not though...

@@CriticalEatsJapan That is great to hear! Hooray for free onion rings! Keep on keeping on! 👍
Aaron rocking the D'Backs hat, I likey!
Yeah, we picked that up last season when we went to the mall that had the JS Burger

Usually BBQ in Japan is more like teriyaki, but even this was disappointing in that regard... But yes! That tomato thing is so annoying :(
my comment is comment. or i had high hopes because i like blue bottle coffee. they were smashed. Like the like button!
At least they lived up to their name and actually had a blue truck... ;)
I think a 5 for a frozen patty with gristle you could buy at walmart is too high. I get you guys don't want to be mean though, so all good.
This was our lowest score since we started counting, so there's that... ;)
If Paul got chunks, that burger probably would have fallen even lower
For sure!
Hello, a very nice video, I enjoyed watching. Have a nice day
Son of burger you find the best places burgers looked decent always good to a new unique place
We've had better, but yes, something a little different
My favorite patties are the ones from five guys.
Hope to try them one day!
I could feel the disappointment on this one….
Right, yet we somehow had so much to say about it ;)
You've gotten a lot of good burgers, so I guess it was time for a so so one. I know a lot of people love toasted buns and I don't mind them, but I grew up on steamed buns, so that's my prefrence.
For me the buns often get soggy and fall apart in Japan. That’s why I prefer the toasted buns because they hold together better.
Exactly. They can't all be tens... ;)
Maybe the buns toasted would've help for better above average score and some seasoning on the patty.
Definitely!
When you opened up the burger, everything seemed so nice and fresh I'm sorry the taste test was a disappointment.
The devil was in the details ;)
No bones, no grizzle thats all i need.
Can't argue with that
Heh, well at least the name is accurate
Right!
Sounds like a disappointment burger. Hopefully, things will improve in your future burgers.
Our lowest score so far...

Yeah, there was definitely potential here. Queen is still our top burger though ;)
Hopefully they see your video and take some constructive criticism 😊
I kind of feel that they normally focus on other dishes, but yeah, it would be good if they improved this one with a few tweaks...
Have you heard about the Domino’s Sakura Pizza? Would love to see your thoughts on this!
Yeah, that was only around for a limited time during sakura season a month or two ago. I've tried a boba pizza before but it was an option we looked at ---just never happened this time...
@@CriticalEatsJapan ahhh, I’m out of touch with the promotions haha, thanks for the reply! Maybe next time 👀. Loving the Burger Bros. Series so far!

Yeah, I do like a more thoroughly cooked burger ;)

Yes! That core removal is so important ---maybe I should have left my score as it was... ;)
😎👍
Teach us Paul sensei! That was cute, getting recognised
My coworker coincidentally in line with her son ;)
Why did she call you Paul Sensi?
Because both he and the woman that called him that are teachers (sensei means teacher)
We didn't discuss it until the end of the video, but she was one of my co-workers that we randomly bumped into ;)
I don't like smash/smashed burgers as you don't get as much meat, compared to a normal burger patty. Not worth the money.

Hard chunk of the big G....under 5 for sure

I like any burger that has no gribble
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Awesome stuff guys
Question have yall ever lived in Virginia?
No, we haven’t
Nope. Does this look like a typical burger from Virginia or something?
@CriticalEatsJapan no yall just look like my old neighbors lol. Great videos.
👍
Sounds like a concession stand burger. Price isnt reasonable
One of the cheapest burgers we've had so far... which I guess is a good thing ;)
