Miss Beadle reminded me of my old boss Becky at a hospital where I worked for 20 years. She was a sweetheart. . It was the most emotional farewell party we had when she retired. Of course there was crying. She and I stay in touch though. There's not enough people in the world like her.
It was a three part episode that aired in the 6th season. David Rose scored it of course. You can hear a similar rendition in the final 2 films Bless All The Dear Children and the Last Farewell
@@TEEVEEspot, I did some research. It's not part of the episode guide. It's considered to be a stand-alone Little House movie. I found it as a separate listing on IMDB.
@@kellylaflash1016 it's a two hour movie showing clips of the first 5 seasons plus a few minutes of new footage and it's aired after episode 9 of season 6.
Unfortunately it is not available to buy some stations aired it until the newly restored dvds came out a few years ago. Maybe write to lionsgate, start a petition to get this episode released?
@@TEEVEEspot this will never be released officially for unknown reasons. all tv movies of the show are released except this one. this aired after episode 9 of season 6 and is worth alone for the music theme which is the best version of them all.....this magic orchestral version is divine and yet there is not a single cd soundtrack release either.
Little House on The Prairie Tribute Videos By me I recorded it off the tv The Little House years on Hallmark Channel unfortunately since the restoration of the series they no longer play this episode
I don't understand why Victor French wasn't part of the main cast or Town categories! And an interesting memory: My mom was FOR SURE Albert dies in one of the episodes, and Dad didn't believe her (this was before I had the convenience of looking up episodes on the internet), and she specifically stated that the certain episode had the extra long opening, hence this video! She proved dad wrong!
All those people listed as “The Town” cast members were always listed that way in previous episodes. Victor French was always listed as a guest star until the final season, A New Beginning. And this special preceded A New Beginning by three years.
I noticed that too with Victor French. I always thought of him as not only one of the main cast but his character was "classic" on LHOP. I first thought this in 1980 while watching the ep where he gets injured by a falling tree and then he, Pa, and Halfpint go hunting. For some reason I laughed when he fell down, the tree landed on him, and he yelled "AAAAAHHH!"
This flashback episode was filmed after Mary lost her sight, but before Dean Butler joined the cast as Almanzo Wilder. Also this was before the shows featuring Lucy Lee Flippen as Eliza Jane Wilder.
errrrrr......U WRONG. this tv movie was aired in november 1979 and in between episodes 9 and 10 of season 6 and dean butler had already JOINED THE SHOW in season 6 episode 1 so what the heck u talking about ? check your facts.

I watched every single episode of Little House on the Prairie from little on up, since the late 70's. I don't recall this opening. Very interesting.
this intro is really nice, it should have been like this for the next ten years...
Excelente serie
I have NEVER seen this openng.
Me neither, I'm curious of its origin.

Linwood would later go on to write for television.
Yeh it remeniscis episode. I think it only airs a few times.i saw this on reruns on tv. Just flashbacks.
Shitt i just went back to 1982
we never saw this in australia we did get LHOP and the new beginning but not this one
we never saw this opening credits in Sweden
I find it unique they credit baby Grace prior to the other older actors.
They're showing all the Ingalls family members before they show photos of the other actors, so I think that's why.
Where do you find this episode? It's not in any of the Season dvds.

He died after the show was over and they left the mountain. At that point he was probably tired anyway.
It all has to do with their contracts & classifications. It's technical.
