- Bleach Thickener is used with bleach to produce a thickened paste for removing color. The paste can be painted or printed onto cellulose fabrics. The Bleach Thickener remains stable with bleach for 24 to 36 hours. Not recommended for protein fibers.
Discharge Paste
Discharge Paste is for removing areas of color from dyed natural fabrics.
Sizes
8 fl oz/.24 L (Item CHM1330)
quart: 32 fl oz/.95 L (Item CHM2330)
1 gal/3.79 L (Item CHM3330)
Instructions
Apply to fabric using a brush, stamp or silkscreen. When paste is dry, iron with steam (on setting appropriate for fabric type). Wash with Synthrapol or mild detergent to return fabric to its natural softness.
Notes:
- When discharging dyes, the color removed does not always turn the fabric to white. A completely different color may result.
- Discharge paste works well with dyes on natural fabrics.
- There are occasional fiber reactive colors which are not susceptible to color removal. Test samples should be prepared prior to production runs.
Discharge/Reduction Agent is a strong color remover used as a discharge medium for a wide spectrum of dyes. It is also used as a strong reduction agent for the fixation of vat dyes. It is most commonly used in the printing processes.
Screen Ink Discharge Additive helps achieve bright, vibrant screened colors on dyed dark fabrics without laying down an undercoat of white ink. Simply add to screen ink, screen and steam. This process helps retain a softer hand on fabric than is achievable with multiple layers of ink and reduces the amount of screening necessary. Works only on dyed fabrics. We recommend testing to ensure that the dye used in your fabric is dischargeable.
Size
8 fl oz/.24 L (JSI2199)
Instructions
Add 7% by weight to Jacquard Screen Inks (2 tsp/4oz container) and mix thoroughly. Screen image and let sit for 30 minutes, allowing ink to dry slightly. Steam iron at the highest temperature appropriate for fabric for 1-3 minutes (or until image is fully developed). Inks can also be cured/activated immediately after printing in an industrial dryer for screen printers at the highest appropriate temperature for fabric.

Could these products be used on paper too? To discharge, let’s say Dye-Na-Flow painted on paper (watercolour, Bristol...)?
Will running the shirts through my screen printing dryer work instead of ironing it?
Was the yellow ink you used to mix the Jacquard additive to a semi-transparent or opaque ink?
Shiny Leung it's transparent, but it doesn't matter because when you discharge the dye in the shirt that yellow is brite
I have been trying to remove colour from silk fabric with jacquard paste but am not succeeding.please clarify that it works on steam set dyes or before steam setting. Thanks.
