I live in the Pacific Northwest. We’re about the same for winter, without the snow, for the most part. We’re in a valley so we’re milder. We just had a few days of blue sky and when it shines, it’s magical.

My Alocasia Melo is possibly my favorite plant. The leaves are just unreal with all the patterns and veining.

Nice plants. I also love alocasia and, for the most part, they grow well for me. I also have problems with the rippled pepperomia. They drop their leaves so easily. Oh well, i keep trying. Merry christmas to you , Agnius & the pups.

🌞I killed both of those alocasia down to stumps and I tried them in perlite with a thick layer of moss on top in a drainless container and now both of those , and my red Secret grew back beautifully and have been thriving ever since🎉 if the don't be too surprised if the leaves go south quickly because mine looks so much better after I grew them back from corms🎉

Alocasia melo is my fav one at the moment! I got one last month. it's leaves are something to be experienced in person. gorgeous!! my husband calls it my plastic plant because its so perfect. 😆

The baby plants come without plant pots. I am not crazy about there packaging sometimes it can damaged the plants inside also the soils spills inside. Can be messy on arrival. I prefer the proper cotton and paper packaging which protects the plants more. And also cover the soil. The best packaging are Gipsy Garden but there customer service isn’t that great and also don’t do refunds and delivery charges is expensive too.

I tried my caudata in PON twice and each time the plant got root rot. Have you considered doing it in your regular chunky mix?
I actualy am considering it, because the roots are so tight in that cork 😬

Unfortunately, Plnts still has no idea how to properly pack plants in winter. Why put the heatpack in a box if it is effectively isolated from the plants it is supposed to heat? The plants, in turn, were packed "naked" in a plastic Container and just thrown into a cardboard box, without any Isolation. I hope nothing will happen to them and they will grow beautifully.
