Premiere Pro 24.2 has some exciting new updates including new interactive fades for audio, new effect badges, easy access to the effects and effects panels, AI powered audio tagging and much more. All of these effects are currently in Public Beta, but will be coming soon to the main app. In the meantime, start testing in beta and give the Premiere Pro team feedback!

Update - The new audio fading + clip color scheme is now available in 24.4.1 version of Premiere Pro (Which is rolling out now).
thanks for that info --> I was just wondering, why I don't see it in 24.3 ;-)
Sony Vegas Pro was doing much of that auto crossfade thing..15 years ago. Also in Sony if you accidentally push a clip over another, it makes a cross-fade, instead of cutting the clip as PP does.
Exactly. Adobe is the new Apple. "New" features.
Amen brother
That's right. I loved Vegas for these amazing details. Unfortunately it stopped evolving in the most basic editing features and the nail in the coffin was selling to Magix.
It's been in Adobe Audition for years also, they are merging this capability now into video editing app Premiere.
@@tomaskonvicka4135 Magix also has the cross fades, and you can combine two audio clips or video clips together in Magix like a dissolve simply by moving them into each other.
Those audio features are obviously lovely but now I'm more excited to see a revamp of the label colors! They look so much more modern and just nicer
They are growing on me too! ❤🎨
OMG - about time they put the crossfades and the little button to access the crossfades.... Sony Vegas had that implemented 12 years ago.
It's been in Adobe Audition for years, bringing it over to Premiere Pro now. Before most pro audio was done in Audition and we are seeing a shift now for editors wanting Adobe's pro audio tools from Audition app into Pr. This is the result of this push. To keep it all in once place 🎉
Even longer ago, I was using that feature in Vegas in 2006
Gal thank you for always keep us up to date to the latest goodies! This is huge!! Thank you thank you!!
Right clicking on the FX icon to add effects is awesome. Thanks!!
The audio fade handles are super nice. That´s a feature I loved in DaVinci and always missed in Premiere. Would be neven nicer if they add such fade handles to video as well. And I´m still waiting desperately for the enhance speech feature be be out of beta.
This is what I like now, everyday there is an update. This is an excellent exploration of these new features. They make so much sense. Really feel like Adobe has put their foot on the gas.
Pedal to the metal
Careful, if you let the internet know you used AI-assisted tools like this, they throw a fit 😂 Yet for those of us whose work actually revolves around workflows that become more efficient by updates like this, obviously it's very exciting
@@Rocksteady72aI've been letting the internet know all year! 😂
I used Sony vegas for editing 7-8 years back. Basically these options was available on that editing software
Love your new background, lighting and audio set up! Thank you for improving on the quality of your videos!
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you Gal!
*THIS* was one of the reasons that got me stuck on vegas and couldn't jump to premiere!! if this makes it to live premiere version i'll switch in a heartbeat
Woohoo!! Awesome new feature!
I needed this information 🙏
usually when there are added features there's some struggle to think and figure out how to incorporate them into what I'm doing, with these I can immediately see how they are going to speed up my workflow and make it easier to access features that I use regularly. That quick access to effect adding and editing, the audio transitions, the enhance speech feature (which now requires several steps) are all going to be used right away. Thanks for the video!
🎉
So glad Premiere finally put the fade handles. I have started using DaVinci from time-to-time, and that is something I love about that software. Thank you, Adobe!
They are in competition, so they must adjust quickly
It's funny. Other programs have included it for a long time. It was time. :D
These are great new features for sure. Only to get better with the next release. However, I have been griping for Adobe to add motion tracking inside Premiere Pro. Hopefully one day! :). Great video as always!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
These new updates mainly came from Audition, so more and more fx/capability are coming into Pr from influence by other Adobe apps. I think a simple tracker for Pr would be great, we can keep the more complex for Ae, as for more complex in Pr, you can use Mocha ProPlugin by boris
This will help a thousand times in the life of a video editor!
I learn so much from you and your channel. Thank You 😊
You are so welcome!
Wow finally. This will make things so much faster.
🎉
I always love your videos.
This kinda reminds of Sony Vegas Pro. Fade in and out was so good in Vegas Pro.
As usual, thank you for your concise and easily understandable video post. ( I looked at a few others and Zzzzzzzz.....). It spurred me on to find out why my Beta app would not load on my newer Mac, (fixed with an Adobe repair), and I am now using these fantastic audio additions. Keep up the great work!
Thanks John! Happy to help be the messenger on these new updates, I know I like to review them :)
@@PremiereGal glad to hear it, you are my Adobe newsfeed!
Educative 💯
Yesss sir!
i love all of this
How about some help with Template Workflows in PP? I can't save a new template...
Thats so good, i like how they improve Premiere lately. i wish they would make more quality of life features like: Effekt Control Panel with better keyframe editing, Better general panel skaling without clipping icons, dropdown Waveforms directly under the videolayers, dropdown Keyframe editing directly under the videolayer (like in After Effects)
Yes I agree. They are really starting to ramp up!
amazing
Hey Gal, please make a request for using warp stabilizer and speed on a clip without nesting!
I'm not sure if that is technically possible, but maybe if one applies speed changes it will auto ask you "want to nest clip?" which a checkbox for "always nest"
Actually that's a good idea that the wave form now is as big as you want to make it, but still, they need to allow for easier scrolling through all the audio layers as well as video, when syncing numerous audio layers to music you want to be able to easily see the monitor and all the layers at once with the video layers, the only way to do that is put it all on one page, without the barrier separating the video from the audio.
One way would be to develop a single clip "audio only" view of the timeline 🎉
Anyone knows if these crossfades can be read in Pro Tools when an OMF is exported from Premiere?
seems this wasn't released with 24.2.1? Got pushed back?
I always learned a lot from u. Excellent job. But your audio is not good enough may its me or may mic has to move towards face.
Adobe could make this audio fade thing long time ago, Sony Vegas had that like 15 years ago, it is weird that they decided to do it right now, thank you Adobe:)))
Great stuff! It’s only a crossfade when it fades between two clips though… otherwise it’s just a fade-in or fade-out. I know you know this, but I wanted to point it out for people who don’t as it can become confusing otherwise.
Ya Fade in and Out and then Crossfade between, I know, said it wrong while recording 😅
It is cracking me up how all these Premiere 2024 audio vids are acting like the drag audio fades are some new cool thing. I literally was doing that with Sony Vegas' $100 version in 2006, Premiere was way behind. They finally caught up
I have no audio.
I open a sequence with a video, and when I drag another one, this new one comes without audio. Only if you open a new sequence for it too. HELP!!
Congratulations on the work!
You could have accidentally disabled your audio source track in the timeline
Question: I just downloaded the beta app and I'm working a project. Am I always going to have to open that project in the beta app? In other words, when I'm finished with it, how will I access it in the future, say if I want to view or make some additional changes? Project won't show up in the "real" PP, will it?
Yes, so Beta app is really just for testing if you edit your project in beta, you wont be able to open it in the regular app until the last beta released is moved to the normal app.
Finally! I just don't get why Adobe likes to play catch up.
Hopefully this year we will get voice clone to fix bad audio scenes.
what is the name of the plugin that appers on the right corner at 2:43?
That's Firecut, I use them for animation captions and repetition remover in my transcript, I made a video full review about the tool: ua-cam.com/video/VFwOARAcncA/v-deo.html
@@PremiereGalthank you!
If you bought the PG toolkit, will it update automatically if you release updates or you do you need re-download? Thanks
You will be notified that an update is available and you'll need to download the package, not the extension, just reinstall the new package within the extension.
@@PremiereGal Thanks! much appreciated
np!@@chancethetechie
oh my god thank you premiere team for the visual crossfade feature that sony vegas had 10 years ago ☠☠
(and thank you for the other cool updates, I just had to dunk on that feature lol)
Adobe Audition had it too years ago...its only about the apps merging to have same functions.
I am a short form video editor and the transcripts are always a pain in PP, instead I use discript because its more accurate everytime.
Adobe concentrated a lot on Premiere, which is lovely, but they're still neglecting After Effect.
They really need to give it some love, especially given how the competition is swooping in (especially rive)
I've been waiting for them to bring those crossfade handles to Premiere for SO LONG! 😄
and what im supposed to do delete pr and work with beta?
no, you have both at same time
Hope Feature Adobe Update Adobe Release Like Color Node Interface For Batter Color Correction...Only One Feature are Missing..... We Need This Basic Color Node Feature
Has anyone figured out how to disable this feature? (I find it very distracting!)
only thing i want i premiere is more than 17 lable colors.. like 100+ lable colors to organise my clips more perfactly
Наконец-то адоби хоть что то инновационное добавил в премьер.
Only for audio or video as well?
These are audio fading, but there is new FX icons and quick access for Video Effects now too.
@@PremiereGal Yeah. The only thing that has always been missing from Premiere Pro is video fading. It's great if it finally gets that too.
Your caption is too good how can i create it
I currently use Firecut Ai, I have a link int my description box above.
@@PremiereGal thanks
Hi mam i have found your videos useful. Im also a video editor. I subscribed your channel
Welcome!
I have RTX4060 with Studio drivers but It keeps and keeps crashing 💀💀
It only took them 20 years to add something that Sony Vegas has had since 2005, and that Adobe Audition has had for 15 years. Waveform still don't visually update which is lame.
❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
What do you think of these new updates coming to Premiere Pro? 🎉 LMK in my community poll: ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx84YzGEYevlbSmMs3vhM8EPdjK484ANU5
Something very useful.
When do these updates come?
@@44Bdogg Considering 24.1 update time, from Beta to public release, I think maybe 1~2 months from now. Hopefuly before. :D
Vegas had that years ago...
I think we need to go back to Sony Vegas pro .. Premiere pro must focus on slow .......
Amazing how these companies all steal innovation from each other. The crossfade feature has been in Cubase for over a decade
Its still just so annoying though, you use a program like Magix edit pro, you can literally just fade the audio together by moving one clip into the other, Adobe needs to look at the magix interface to get some ideas, including navigating the timeline scrolling from the audio to the video they have a ridiculous barrier between them, as if we can't tell the difference between audio and video clips.
Just like Resolve....
It's actually the exact same as in Audition, Adobe's audio editing tool that's been around for a long time. They are bringing the same audio fading capability into Premiere Pro's audio editing.
@@PremiereGal Oh okay, fair enough!
This is cool but it seems like an outdated fix , it would have been nice to see AI used instead. I need Premiere to have more AI features so I can make money. Time = money. Appreciate your content.
nothing but complicating
