To your closing comments, doing the job a second time would not take half as long. I once had to install ceiling fans, first one an hour, second 20 minutes, and and third 15 minutes. Thank for showing me the process. definitely worth adding them.
Fair play to you doing the installation there and then, a guy just reading the instructions and doing it bit by bit, looks fantastic, think of the safety aspect, more brake lights and bright ones at that too, can’t be a bad thing.
Thank you for this video. If you install any of the other accessories on your 56 Givi trunk, like the luggage rack or back-rest, please let us know how the install goes and maybe make a video. Thank you again.
A bit late maybe, but I would try to use the old punched out cover, turn it upside down and glue/silicone it back over the hole from the inside of the topbox thet hasn't the brakelights. I think that would make it water tight even if you take the box off the bike. Thank you for posting - nice vid!
As nice as being seen with more lights is i can only expect with these pin touch conections that something will eventually fail and the brake light will stip working.
Great video👍 I don't have the monokey rear plate. I have the Suzuki rack with the monokey junction kit. What size is the whole in the rear plate? In mm would be great so I know what size whole to drill out. Thanks PCG.
I would look to see where you have good power from the brake lighting circuit then work my way backwards with a circuit tester until I found the problem. I'd also verify that you're on the brake lighting circuit and the ignition is on.
Yes, the light kit was from Givi. This is the part I ordered, although it appears to be out of stock now. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-e160-led-brake-light-kit-for-v56-top-cases?sku_id=1120978

Thanks for posting. I am actually looking to add this to my V56 case on my GS.

Is it brake light only? Or does it give turn signals too?
Brake light only unfortunately.
Great video
Cool !
I've located my power and brake wire, spliced in but no power to box. Any suggestions?

@@croutonsinasalad5493 thank u!
Would it not have been easier to drill a hole?
What does that break light kit called? And where did you buy those? Is it also from givi?
Yes, the light kit was from Givi. This is the part I ordered, although it appears to be out of stock now.
