He he you are doing great on this, usually for adults we only sing the first and last verse, as it gets weird in the other verses as you point out :-D But other than that, the words doesn't matter themselves, it the singing to celebrate a person that's important

The last of the birthday song where we say hurra depends on the age if they turn 13 it is 13 hurra 😀and the older you get the more you put on 😂
Denmark has several birthday songs. Two of them are old. The one you just sang is from 1913 and written by Otto Mikkelsen. The title is "I dag er det Oles fødselsdag" (originally Peters fødselsdag). The other is based on the melody "rits rats fillijong gong gong" and the birthday child gets to choose 3 instruments that will get incorporated in the song. I.e. Kelly is the birthday child and she chooses trumpet, drums and guitar:
Kelly har fødselsdag, og det har hun jo, og det er i dag
Kelly har fødselsdag, og det har hun jo i dag.
Og hør nu her, hvor vi alle spille vil,
Og hør nu her, hvordan vi spille vil
(After the 4th line, the singing crowd will mimic the sound of a trumpet after 1st verse. Then sing the verse again, but mimic drums the 2nd time. Then sing the verse a final time and then mimic the sound of a guitar.) It will make SO much more sense, when you see others perform it.
Those two along with the English "Happy Birthday" are by far the most common. But there are birthday songs by famous artist too. I.e. "Hip hurra, det' min fødselsdag" by Tommy Seebach and "Hip hurra, for bamsefar" by Thorbjørn Egner.

Impressive pronunciation for a non-dane. Our language is very difficult and almost every word is a tongue twister. Your video is more impressive than most people would ever understand.

StormMarc den har vi også altid brugt! Og så vælgerne børnene først hvilke instrumenter der skal med. Og så fx fløjte: lyder som fløjte mens alle nynner melodien, eller guitar: alle siger ordet (bau) som lyden af en streng i melodien. Svært at forklare men danskere ved hvad jeg mener :p

Most people sing the first two verses. The changes are just for "he" and "she" mostly. Not a big deal if you get it wrong.
