I have a 2011 A5 couple 2.0T TFSI car for 9 years now. Other than the oil consumption issue, so far I have no problems yet. But I'm really nervous about it esp. with videos like yours and from the comments below. It's really good on gas, drive very smooth and have always been very reliable. The only reason I hung on to it for this long is because it's one of the most beautiful designed car I have ever seen. After 9 years, I'm still mesmerized by it's looks.
I have owned a 2011 A5 TFSI Coupe since 2013, It's probably the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. I have never experienced any of the issues in the video. I guess you just got unlucky.
Considering Audi had to settle a class action lawsuit. No Audi put out junk. Don't get me wrong(it worked for me), I'm rebuilding the engine in 2013 A5 convertible, I picked up for 2k.(in excellent condition)
TFSI engines after around 2013+ have just had issues over and over. I bought a diesel A5 B8 S-Line BE and never an issue. Changed glow plugs once after 190k km and oil every 15k km and no issue with the car. Take it for spins everyday love it.
I had Audi A5 TDI 2.0 2013 model. Bought it used with 190000km on it. Start stop stopped working, but this was due to a wet/faulty cruise control sensor/radar (the one located in the front bumper that measures the distance of cars in front). When visited a garage, they said the sensor is completely gone and it would cost 4000 Euros to replace. I didn't replace it and kept driving like that until it started working again after it got dry on its own. Mind you it took about 3 months during summer heat until one day I just started the car and it started working. With that also the start/stop malfunction was gone. If you buy one, make sure the radar is not located in the front bumper as it may get wet and accumulate rust during rainy season. Poor design in the side of Audi really. Some Audis don't have it there so make sure of that.
Hey just curious. Im thinking of getting my first car, being an A5 with the same km on it as yours. Is that a good buy? Has yours run into problems at all? I just love the looks of it and want to add 50000km of my own to it, then sell it again 😊

The issue of the oil level is that also good for a 2013 Audi A5? What I mean is it program to show if the hood is open or not, or is it for the newest models?
If the hood is open then it will show on the dash. If it’s open and not showing on the dash then the sensor is faulty and will ask you to add oil. All B8 models have this issue
As long as the internal parts are upgraded according to Audi specifications. This was a common issue and Audi released new parts for upgrades to prevent the issue from happening again.
