      There's a 2010 A5 S line Quatro 2.0T in manual. It had a complete engine rebuild and a new turbo from a reputable shop. Doesn't that mean oil consumption is fixed??

    • @Twinxu
      @Twinxu Рік тому +1

      @@zureai It depends on what was revised on the engine. The first TFSI engines had problems with oil consumption because the oil scraper rings on the piston were reduced from 2mm to 1.5mm and oil carbon got stuck in the narrower groove. You should ask if a TPI2 (new pistons + connecting rods) was done on the car. TPI1 ist not safe. However, you are only truly safe from the facelift in 2012 onwards.

    MY A5 3.2 Quattro manual daily is factory and no beefing up needed! It is quiet until you put your foot down! Super comfortable for all the speedbumps in the area! 2nd owner from new. So much better than bmw's I had. V6 over 4 cylinders any day of the week and I will have this car for the rest of my life as it is that good! Quality people.. You will never go back to a smaller engined car! Do I have to go electric? Maybe the wife would but not sure as she drives an Alfa Romeo mito turbo! The sound! Lol.

      Considering you're not tuned yet, I'll assume you haven't done many mods, so im gonna make the best suggestion you'll ever get. Buy the cr15 bar on eurotuning.com. Its $100, it takes literally 5 min to install because its just 4 bolts, and it completely changes how direct and balanced the car steers, body roll is reduced dramatically, and even driving normal you'll feel more in control daily driving. It's incredibly effective at what it does. I just installed mine yesterday and I can't believe the positive change it made. It makes you think the front end was made of jello before it just flexing all over the place. The car is super heavy, so good chassis mods are what im focusing on to plant the car without effecting comfort and this bar is by far the best mod I've done and the cheapest. Its as dramatic a change in feel as a stage 1 tune is imo. Just trust me and buy the cr15 bar.

    Getting an s5 in the UK makes little to no sense, the a5 (3l tdi) beats it in almost every way, but mainly fuel and power. A simple, inexpensive remap will already have the a5 dropping the s5, not to mention the s5 will be more than double the fuel cost, and the a5 will be half the servicing, insurance and taxes prices etc.. And obviously a s5 is more expensive as a car aswell!
    And for you who say the s5 sounds better, UA-cam a 3l tdi without a DPF or with a custom exhaust 😂 not to mention almost any s5 mod will fit an a5.
    In my opinion, in the UK atleast, its either a5 or rs5 if you can afford the latter.

      Technically it doesn’t, but turn off traction control, plant the brake, plant the gas, hold for NO MORE than 3sec (or you’ll fry the torque converter), and release the brake. Warning: doing this will reduce the longevity of the transmission fluid. The B8.5 A5 has an 8 speed ZF-8 and you can get all 9 liters of fluid on FCPEURO for about $230. Change every 80k miles for maximum pleasure.

      If you have an european version of the B8 chasis, then you get 7speed stronic gearbox with quattro, this setup has Launch Control, but I cannot recommend, because the gearbox is somewhat fragile, especially when paired with 3.0tdi. If you were to launch it though, just press the ESP button until you get a popup saying everything is disabled, press the brake, then gas, RPM's will raise to 4k in gas cars and around 2500 in diesel cars, let off the brake and you are off. The difference in my certain situation (3.0tdi remapped to 300ps) is about 0.5s in 0-100km/h compared to just flooring it.

    I have the same car bro A5 2011 2.0 TFSI 180hp...Have the same grill and side bumpers...Now I want to tune it up a little because it runs verry quietly..I can't stand it...The feeling & the sound at 30km/h is the same as if you were driving 200km/h...Shame its illegal in my country to put loud exhaust pipes but who gives a f_ck..I want my baby purring just like this...Can you tell me what exhaust system(pipes did you put) and what's the brand of the Red part on the left under the hood.I believe it's the turbo....Can you tell me a little more about it..Yours sound awesome..I wanted to put acrapovic exhaust but ppl tell me i won't feel the difference in sound...BTW, how many hp did you got plus,by adding the turbo and does your car now spends more oil by adding the exhaust system? And did you tuned it up electronically by adding chips and stuff..? I'm asking because I don't want to f_ck it up because its looked after extremly well..When I ask 4 advice about chip tuning the car almost every1 is against it..They all say it will lower the engine lifetime a great deal...So if you can tell me more about it,I would appreciate it a lot! Mainly about what exhaust system(brand/type) you use and what kind of turbo...Great car bro! 😎

      @@martinsmazonis2643 It's not more expensive because it's a 4 door. It's more expensive because you have to buy a newer one because only 2017 and up are four door. The car in the video is older and the idea of the video was to buy an older and more affordable car to modify to go faster and look nicer than factory.
      Other than that, I prefer the 4 door as well. Since I am older and probably have a bit more available cash, I have a 2016 A6 3.0t with around 480hp as my daily driver.

    S5 = s-line A5 3.0T, that’s all, it’s pretty much an glorified engine option for an a5, kind of like 435i(440i) vs 428i. Of course Awdi made some options unavailable on A5 and neutered a5’s performance so that people would buy an s5. Disclaimer-I own a b8 s4 and it had transmission problems (shift selector lever sensor) and intercoolers bursted and hydrolocked the engine, go figure.
