That _Charger_ with all his small lasers reminds me of that one match on Crimson Strait years ago (when I was still physically able to play MWO...). Baradul was doing community drops and there was this _Dire Wolf_ on Red Team that was filled to the brim with small lasers and machine guns. Not only admired we his efforts to shoot us all - while he stood completely motionless on that island in the bay (well beyond his guns' range) - but also his comments on chat as he tried to "command" the rest of his team... and was completely oblivious of the fact that _we_ were reading everything, too. Those were the days, my friends.
I found on that first map using heat vision works kinda nicely because the mechs are cooler than the environment, so they look like shadows running around until they start taking damage. Then they glow white like usual.
I really enjoy the mentoring style of fun Bara uses in his videos. Thanks! Also, just to rub it in everyone's face - I got an accept when I asked Bara in game to be 'friends'. So in your face, everyone who has asked him and not been accepted!! Ha ha!! (Simple things make me happy)
Nice but annoying build there Bara. 😄 Also, I love the way AutoCannons sound on HPG Manifold. They sound that way because that map is technically out in space with no atmosphere, so they sound very muted. 🙂
5:35 "A Longbow, a Marauder IIC and a Blood Asp walk into a volcano" sounds like the start of a bad joke lol. Odd to see the biggest missile boat to ever missile on the front line with autocannons lol.
When I still played MWO I liked to run a King Crab with six RAC2s three per side. It was a blast. Plus it allowed me to stay in cover and just poke one arm out and go bullet-hose. If one arm got beat up too badly, just use the other.
IIRC MWO registers each bullet for cockpit shake. So if you fire RACs at once the bullets hit at the same time so the game shakes the cockpit twice but they overlap. Whenever you stagger your shots the bullets all hit at different times so the shake overlaps at random. It's insanely fun.
Doesnt the one Nightstar have the same quirk, or maybe specifically only RACs? Cause if it does it the Longbow has the same problem imo that the Warhammer has to the Marauder does in some cases. The MAD can do most builds youd do on a Hammer but with 5 more tons and better hitboxes. Same thing with the Star versus the Longbow, Star just does the build better.
There is a Battlemaster that has -100 JAM CHANCE. not -100 UAC jam chance. You can run 5 ER ML and 2 RAC2 on it with a lot of ammo and you never need to stop firing the RACs because even after the meter fills they will not jam.
I used this mech. I pumped over 200dmg into a guy and he still killed me. I forgot what they were in but it was a heavy and he died right after from a friend hitting him once. I was using medium x-pulse lasers as well. I don't get this game sometimes.
The marauder II with 2 RAC2s AND 2 RAC5s can rotate between combos of both on each arm for, also, literal never ending fire, you will never overheat when only firing 2 at once, 2x5-5x5-5x2-2x2-2x5 etc. You WILL run out of ammo before you ever overheat.
There's just a few new things right now in MWO, which doesn't always happen, just be patient Baradul will balance it out. I for one am thankful for the MWO content he's the best in the biz for it, so to speak.
The Nightstar 10P has the same quirk and has a ECM. And they shortened the arms so it has better convergence than it used to.

OMG I was running cooldown on my rac build thiinking it helped with ramping down.

It looks like you took armor damage to the legs when walking through the hot spots.

You can put 3 RACs2 into a shadowhawk and get muuuch better mobility
anything other than missiles and a few backup lasers is so wrong on that.
