As a scuba diver, every dive in Sabah, especially at Sipadan was the best dive of my life. The twister was made entirely of jack fish, some reaching 4 feet long! The excited fish were so densely clustered that we couldn’t see the waters beyond their silvery cyclone. i was always scared of the sea because of the feeling of fear of the unknown underneath the surface of the water. But this changed when I went to Redang with my family, and now seeing this, I'm adding this to my list of destinations with clear waters!!

One thing about mangrove esp in Borneo or Peninsular Malaysia, is the existance of salt water crocodile. Be extra careful around mangrove area especially when you are in a small kayak or small boat.
Really?? I think the host would know better and would have warned the tourists if there's any sighting.
Good advice but it's also worthwhile to note that not all river systems are inhabited by crocs. Locals know better.

I live in peninsular but i love visiting sabah. Never been to your place but even around kota kinabalu there are a lot of things to visit like Kundasang and island around Kota Kinabalu.

Before jumping into the nice water,
Focus whats in the depth,
Lookout for dangerous predator fish, poisonous snakes, and etc
What u might miss is,
Sea urchin,
Some of their thorn,is very hard to be seen, and lots of cases, people step onto it or get into psy-contact with it, which result in serious injury.
Anyway, have fun and always care with surrounding

Wonder who threw the plastic bottle on the beautiful water. Sad. But i am not surprise because on the otherside, a colony of refugees or sea gypsies occupy the other end closer to KK town. Gaya island really needs more help especially waste management.

@@aishi9068 malaysia friendly vlogger ken abroad bravely visited gaya recently (the refugee side). The boatman said he is bajau laut. And dare to say they have ic, come on is that true? Of course poor ken does not know the real story.
You can see rubbish floating there at beautiful gaya island waters. These Bajau laut do not speak malay or tagalog. Ken is struggling to communicate with them in bahasa and english. Real malaysians know bahasa and english or either one.

Hello The Schells my friend after your visit in Manila, Philippines , I highly recommend to proceed & explore Boracay Beach in Malay, Aklan, it is claimed to be the best beach of the world. (Check it out in UA-cam) There is a direct daily flight from Manila, Cebu going to Caticlan Airport in Boracay Islands.
BEST THING TO DO IN BORACAY ISLANDS.
1. Island Hopping in Boracay Islands, it is full of white sandy beaches, blue indigo waters and dreamy sunsets. Known to be unexploited paradise. The stops often includes the beaches of Lapus-lapus, Ilig-iligan, Crocodile Island & Magic Island.
2. Visit Puka Shell Beach in Boracay, it is located in Yapak, Malay, Aklan, tricycles and boats going to Puka Shell Beach can be hired from White Beach.
3. Ariel's Point is the most popular for the 15 meters high diving boards where adventure junkies can leaf off to the clear waters below. It is located in Batason, Buruanga, Aklan,purchase a ticket from Ariel's house in Station 1 where the boat leaves to Ariel point.
4. Explore Mount Luho, is the highest point of the Islands, rising 100 meters above sea level. Tricycles from any stations can be hired to take you to the Mount Luho entrance.

So glad to see u guys had d fun staying on a water chalet in Langkawi. There r plenty of water chalets around Malaysia, in few of d 5 star resorts in Langkawi, in pangkor island resort, in Port Dickson, in Tioman islands n in d Islands on d east coast of peninsular Malaysia, in few islands off coast Sabah. All of them r as just beautiful as in d Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Bora Bora, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines etc.
They were at Gayana Resort about 15 mins off Kota Kinabalu by boat. That is not Langkawi my friend.
