Hi. My advice is to tour the entire peninsular of Malaysia. Express buses are widely available from anywhere to anywhere - even to Singapore and Thailand.
Islands in Sabah, Malaysia are superb!!! Stunningly pristine! People come from all over the world for diving to see nature at its best! I'm surprised you haven't heard of Sabah.
The Perhentian Islands are definitely the most beautiful I've ever been to and that includes Thailand, the Philippines (including Palawan), other beaches/islands in Malaysia and Hawaii. I stayed for over a week and it was one of the best and most memorable times of my life, a true paradise. I still think of the place fondly 💕
Have you been to Redang? The area we went to was fiercely conservationist. You could not see the accommodation from the sea entrance and if anyone damaged the coral you were asked to leave the Island immediately. No pubs or take away or even roads. Just a small hotel which had everything we needed. We could snorkel all around the coast seeing sharks and the most amazing coral. It made the red sea look like the River Mersey. Was it as pretty as some Thai Islands? Maybe/Maybe not, but it was far more peaceful and natural and unspoilt!

The reason they are pristine and full of marine life, we closed the island for a few months during monsoon season. So it gives time for nature to rejuvenate itself.
Once you have been to Semporna over the eastern side of Sabah, you will know which is better....have a go. It's been rated as one of the most beautiful diving spots in the world, there are some islands where you can stay over before hopping over to Semporna
Ken, around this time of year, there are places in Trengganu where turtles land along the east coast beaches to lay eggs. You can check at the resort or from the locals where the places are. Because the guides will bring you out at midnight to watch live laying of eggs.
Was in Perhentian Island (Perhentian Besar) in March 2018 for the first time. Loved it so much. We stayed in Arowana - a nice place, with beautiful sandy beaches with clear water. Took a boat trip. We planned a holiday to come back in 2020 however the Movement Control Order started due to Covid-19. Supposed to plan a trip this year however, our friend passed away due to cancer. Glad to see your video on youtube. It brings back the memory

Perhentian Island is beautiful but you should make a trip to Sabah in East Malaysia to see Sipadan and Mabul Islands. Rated as one of the most beautiful islands in the world, I am sure you will not regret visiting it.

Hello Ken. As mentioned by a few people here already, Sabah's islands and beaches are better as less people have been there. The seafood is also as fresh as you can get them. Unless if you dislike seafood 😅

That is where they filmed the movie South Pacific and some Survivor episodes! . It's a bit of an adventure to get to the other side of the island as you have to go over a steep mountain road in a 4 by 4. Lots of battles here in WW2. It was a remora fish. They used to attach to a bigger organism to get free ride because of their weak swimming ability. They do not cause any harm to the host they attached on.

Let's keep the islands underrated. Or else, too crowded. Bear in mind during the rainy monsoon season its not advisable to visit these places. It rains a lot and the sea waves could be possibly dangerous for small boats. Therefore, most resorts and cafes would be closed as well for several months of the year.
19:20 Kennnn, i saw myself in the background 😂 the one with white hijab. It’s my 1st time in Pulau Perhentian also & glad that i could take some day off to spend time with family. Nice video Ken🎉
Iv been there but the problem is its a very rural island with not alot of hotels . I loved the crystal clear waters and snorkeling. Sea creatures.. and if some one gets sick he will not find any medications. No antibiotics no cough syrups . No paracetamol. Nothing why didnt they build a pharmacy and small clinic . And a decent hotel .
I love Perhentian. White soft sandy beach. Saw a big humpback parrot fish swimming towards me. Good grief why would you need any beer or alcohol with that beauty all around you. You haven't visit pulau lang tengah and pulau gemas.
I'm from Ireland and lived in KL for two years. I travelled around a lot of Malaysia's coast. There are some class beaches there, underrated surely. But it's better without too many tourists, you know.
Thank you ken, without your video I will never know these islands exist. I visited Malaysia and lankawei twice. Water is not clear in Lankawei. I visited almost all Caribbean island, greek islands, mauritius, laksadweep, Maldives, and few more islands here and there. In my opinion 1. Maldives ( Fulidhoo) 2. Antigua 3. The colour of that water is a literal 10/10, cannot be topped. Also, you're doing a bloody good job communicating with the locals. Ken the fish is called Remora. Their head is like a suction an it sticks to the sharks eating little bacteria and other things. Basically they help clean the shark. Its a mutual coexistence.

Here's to more adventures and moments of serenity in nature's embrace! 🏝✨"
Oh that's funny 😆
@@KenAbroadCongratulations on the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia
So many beautiful beaches in South east asia ❤
Wow! Very interesting Ken! Thank you so much! Looks like the Perhentian Islands are worth a try!
Lets keep it that way..... underated
And a decent hotel .
i prefer not crowded beach, so we can enjoys the beach with only friends or family
I love Perhentian. White soft sandy beach. Saw a big humpback parrot fish swimming towards me.
Good grief why would you need any beer or alcohol with that beauty all around you.
You haven't visit pulau lang tengah and pulau gemas.
Bruh why does this place look so good!
you should visit tioman islands in malaysia, its very beautiful
And plagued with sand flies, just as most the the east coast islands are.
Thank you so much for this video. You have definitely convinced me to go.
I'm from Ireland and lived in KL for two years. I travelled around a lot of Malaysia's coast. There are some class beaches there, underrated surely. But it's better without too many tourists, you know.
The beaches are so clean and so beautiful!❤ love from China ❤🇲🇾😊
Great and interesting content. Thank you Ken 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Looks very quiet & relaxing! Nice place to Chill out for a bit👍🌴
This guy is a traveller, not a tourist. what a nice video. immersive.
A serial tourist posting ignorant rubbish.
Antigua 3. Cayman Islands..and Mauritius…
I will try to go this Parenthian island near future…
beaches in Terengganu are all like this generally. but if you do come, avoid the monsoon months (oct - feb) as the islands will be closed.
@@Ruriko.Y OMG… its a big help… Thank you so much for the info. I was planning to come in February…
@@chithilekho359so many clean beaches in Malaysia. I am Malaysian. And i say, Penang is overrated. You need to dig deeper. There are a lot of good places or beaches in Malaysia.
@@nashk935 Thank You
Beautiful and clean beach.. 👍👍👍👍
My childhood memory there when I'm child my father always bring me go perhentin
I just come back from Sabah. You should try staying at Maglami Water Resort. The best experience I have ever had 😍
Ken, that's not a baby shark, haha. It's called a Remora. They attach themselves to larger marine animals i.e. turtles, sharks, sunfish to feed on the parasites.
Beautiful beaches. Thank you for giving me some holiday ideas. Safe travels in Malaysia.
You should try to go Mabul island in Sabah. We call Maldives Malaysia
Wow this is a stunningly beautiful island! Cheers from Koh Samui 🏝️
In KL one coconut is going for RM5. 😉 Underated means less tourists, less crowded, less pollution, less damage, less pricey. Keep it that way.
I have been to Malaysia 3 times and never been or heard this place. Will definitely visit next time.
Not if you have any morals. This state canes young women and why I no longer visit there.
@@byteme9718lol your comment history is this channel is dedicated to hating muslims
Ken you are really a traveler not a tourist because you go small places where there no tourists go
The colour of that water is a literal 10/10, cannot be topped. Also, you're doing a bloody good job communicating with the locals. I'm recently back from 4 months in SEA; as a Brit I have it easy but find it so impressive how well you manage - learning basic Malay via English (a second language for you).
Malay language is very easy 😁
Malay is very easy to learn, three months is enough to become fully fluent. The water is OK but not as clear as many other places when SCUBA diving.
hope you stayy in Malaysia for a longg time you need to try all food all thing about Malaysian culture thanks for coming to my Country hopee you enjoy in heree
I currently live in Koh Samui, Thailand and Ive been here for about a week. I was soooo excited to move here for a few months, but Koh Samui is infested with obnoxious tourists, rubbish and pollution. This place was once a Utopia, but once people started flocking to it, it's become a nightmare. I'm about to find me another small island to settle in.
So super beautiful right?
i hve been here 14 times... since 1992. Never get bored
Ken u should try islands of the coast of semporna, sabah.. its as beautiful, if not better
That white n black stripped fish is a Remora. It hv a suction on its back to hitch ride on a shark or a ray fish .
Ken the fish is called Remora. Their head is like a suction an it sticks to the sharks eating little bacteria and other things. Basically they help clean the shark. Its a mutual coexistence.
the little Maldives in Malaysia is at Semporna Archipelago (Bohey Dulang island, Mantabuan island, Mataking island, Sibuan island, etc)
And Semporna is in beautiful Sabah, Ken!
wait till you see Tioman, islands off Johor, Pangkor and Semporna etc
Hey Ken,you're amazing 👏 love your vlog,I so much enjoy your vlog,,I can't wait to watching more,I'm from Malaysia living in uk London 😊,you're one of a kind..hope you enjoy your day.
i just coming back from perhentian as well 3 days not enough for me..definitely need more days there to enjoy the water activity
