      My biracial kids did the same thing. They noticed how the cats and horses on their grandparents farm are different colors even though they are related so they associated that phenomenon with themselves.

      To be honest, I knew that wasn't the case an I still felt that way as well. Logically if you go back, there had to be a time in humanity where what he said was true. Mankind just went about it separating by color until it stuck. Kinda like breeding pitbulls for a specific color and, that's what you get. A lack of varariation in dna.

    I remember being confused as a child by the color terminology and referencing the Crayola box also.
    But the way, he interpreted his color situation with the with animal litter colors just shows how very observant he was as a child and is.
    If his traumas weren't a factor he most definitely would have succeeded in something other than his comedy.
    He's a pretty deep thinker

    That's the beauty of children. Until their parents indoctrinate them with some sort of racial bias, kids just see other kids and people for what they are not what color they are. What we all have to cling on to and teach our own.

    It’s kinda crazy how Tommy davidson never gets mentioned in the top comedians of all time he’s definitely one of the kings of comedy.     I always loved Tommy Davidson. I knew he was different in a special way. Funniest guy and I've never laughed so hard before seeing him perform. I never knew his history but he's achieved so much and from my own opinion....was never really given much of a chance....it shows how strong he is.

    Fascinating observation when he was a child about animals having offspring that don't look like them, the larger lesson is that the difference in appearance wouldn't minimize the love and affection that the parent had for the child.

    I wonder those kids learned that. Its incredible that he thought that we are like "horses and dogs" because in a way we are. Race is a social construct but you have to define yourself as a race but you can say that you are any gender you want.

    Tommy to this day is such a underrated comedian. I feel he (more than Jaime, more than Carey, even Damon) was the breakout star from In Living Color. He could do anything. And I wonder why Hollywood didn’t embrace him asmuch

    I was watching his 90s standup and his material just covered more deeper matters than the Norms of the time(black v white, Michael Jackson, etc) Tommy definitely doesn’t get his flowers highly talented with the impersonations and all

    He makes a lot of sense.I loved duke’s of hazard.I saved my money and went to a store that sold posters.And brought every Dukes of hazard poster “ which was confederate Flag poster.Put them up on my room walls .And my mother coming home and telling her “Mom look what I did “ I remember her Face.She calmly took them down and we went to the store and sternly told the cashier to give her back the money.She got it and gave it to me and Kinda told me what it meant carefully because I had a lot of friends of different nationalities and she didn’t want to leave a bad impression on my friends.

    Oh. I didn't understand at first what he was saying that he didn't know. But, hearing him say animals have different colored babies. That makes sense.
